Yes, Aerless is legit: it is a registered New York company, Aerless LLC, that ships a real vacuum packing kit, and most owners say the bags and pump work. It is not a scam. It is, however, a company whose advertising runs ahead of its product and whose delivery and refunds are the weak points, so the way you buy matters. This article covers who is behind the brand, which of its claims hold up, what customers complain about, and how to order without getting caught out. For how well the kit itself works, see our Aerless vacuum bags review.

Who is behind Aerless

Aerless's terms of service name the seller as Aerless LLC, 228 East 45th Street, Suite 9E, New York, NY 10017, and say the terms are governed by the laws of New York State. Its contact page lists the same LLC in the United States. That makes the offer page's line that Aerless is "proudly based in the United States" accurate as far as the legal seller is concerned.

Two details are worth knowing. The company's Trustpilot profile lists the Netherlands as its location, which suggests some operations in Europe. And Aerless sells through two websites: the main store, aerless.com, which runs on Shopify, and a separate offer site, getaerless.com, with its own checkout and returns lookup. Both sell the same kits at the same prices; support for both is by email at support@aerless.com. There is no published phone number.

What checks out and what does not

Aerless saysWhat we found
"Pack 3X more"Its own store says "up to 60%" space saved, and its diagram shows a bag about 10 in thick pressed to about 2 in
"1,000,000+ happy customers", "50,000+ 5-star reviews"We could not verify either; the largest independent profile, on Trustpilot, has 464 reviews
"Reddot Design Award" winnerA search did not turn up an Aerless entry among Red Dot winners
"American company"Correct: the seller is Aerless LLC in New York
"Lifetime warranty"A Limited Lifetime Warranty for factory defects only; wear and tear, misuse and cosmetic damage are excluded
"100-day money back guarantee", "hassle-free"100 days from delivery, but items must be unused and in original packaging, and returns carry a handling fee
"Our Story" page: "a few presses of the handheld pump", "no electricity", "transparent panels"Out of date: the kit sold now has a USB-C rechargeable pump and opaque grey bags

None of these make Aerless a scam. Together they mean you should judge it by the product and the written terms, not by the advertising.

What customers complain about

On 3 October 2026, the Aerless Trustpilot profile showed 3.9 out of 5 from 464 reviews, with 66 percent five-star and 20 percent one-star, and few in between. Reading the one-star reviews, the complaints fall into a handful of patterns:

  • Late delivery. The most common complaint. Several reviewers ordered for a specific trip and received the bags after they had left, sometimes with tracking that did not update for days.
  • Return costs. Buyers describe paying for the return label themselves, with figures around $10 to $13, and one reviewer reports being told about a 50 percent return fee only after a return had been agreed. Aerless replied that an undisclosed fee "is not how we operate".
  • Slow refunds. Some reviewers were still waiting for a refund a month after sending a return; at least one turned to a card dispute.
  • Bags that would not seal. A minority say a bag lost its vacuum overnight or never sealed at all, despite following the troubleshooting advice.
  • What is in the box. One buyer ordered a four-bag pack and received bags without a pump. The store sells a Vacuum Kit, which includes the pump, and Vacuum Bags, which do not; Aerless said it would clarify the listing.
  • Automated support. Many reviewers describe automated replies before reaching a person, and there is no phone line.

Aerless had replied to 65 percent of negative reviews, usually asking the customer to email support with an order number.

What customers praise

The five-star reviews are mostly about the product: thick bags, zips that hold, and a pump that compresses bulky clothes in seconds. Several describe good service when something went wrong, including a replacement pump sent for one damaged in shipping, two replacement bags for a parcel cut open in transit, and fast answers to emails sent from abroad. One reviewer whose order arrived too late for their trip was offered an extra discount to keep it instead of returning it.

The fine print that matters

Returns. You have 100 days from delivery to start a return through the returns portal. The written policy asks for items to be unused, unworn and in the original packaging, with proof of purchase, and says returns are subject to a handling fee. Return labels expire 20 days after they are issued.

Warranty. The Limited Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects that appear under normal use, for the original buyer with proof of purchase from Aerless or an authorised retailer. It excludes wear and tear, misuse, accidents, modifications, improper storage or cleaning, cosmetic damage and second-hand purchases. Claims need a description, photos or video, and proof of purchase, and Aerless decides whether to repair, replace or give store credit.

Disputes. Aerless's terms say disputes and non-delivery claims must be raised within 100 days of the order date, that a parcel marked "delivered" by the carrier counts as delivered, and that disputes filed after 30 days may be denied automatically if tracking shows delivery. Missing or damaged items should be reported within 14 days of delivery, per its FAQ.

How to buy Aerless safely

  1. Order early. Allow at least three to four weeks before a trip, not the 4 to 10 business days quoted, given how many reviewers received their order late.
  2. Check that the pump is included. The Vacuum Kit includes one pump; Vacuum Bags on their own do not. Screenshot the product page showing what you are buying.
  3. Pay with a credit card. A card gives you a chargeback route if a refund stalls. One reviewer who paid with Apple Cash said they had no way to dispute the charge.
  4. Save everything. Keep the order confirmation and any promise support makes in writing, such as a refund if the parcel arrives late.
  5. Inspect on arrival. Check every bag for cuts and test the pump the day it arrives, and report problems within 14 days.
  6. Test one bag, keep the rest sealed. The written return terms ask for unused items in their original packaging.
  7. Use the returns portal and ship with tracking if you send anything back, and post it within 20 days of getting the label.

Our verdict

Aerless is legit. The seller is a registered New York company, the vacuum kit is a real product that most owners rate highly, and support does replace parts that arrive damaged. What keeps it from being an easy recommendation is everything around the product: advertising that overstates the space saved and the brand's size, a guarantee narrower than its banner, return labels you pay for, and deliveries that too often miss the trip they were bought for. Buy early, by credit card, test one bag and keep the rest sealed, and you take most of the risk out of it. For whether the kit is worth buying at all, read our Aerless review.

Frequently asked questions

Is Aerless a scam?

No. Aerless LLC is a registered business with a New York address in its terms, it ships a real vacuum kit, and many owners report that it works and that support replaced damaged parts. The complaints are about slow delivery, return shipping costs, slow refunds and marketing that overstates the product, not about orders that never existed.

Where is Aerless based?

Aerless's terms of service name Aerless LLC at 228 East 45th Street, Suite 9E, New York, NY 10017, and say the terms are governed by New York law. Its Trustpilot profile lists the Netherlands as the company's location, so it may also operate from Europe, but the legal seller named in its own terms is the New York LLC.

How long does Aerless take to ship?

Aerless says orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days, with US delivery usually in 4 to 10 business days and international delivery in 7 to 13. Several Trustpilot reviewers report deliveries arriving after the trip they ordered for, so order at least three to four weeks before you travel.

Does Aerless really have a lifetime warranty?

It has a Limited Lifetime Warranty, set out in section 21 of its terms. It covers factory defects in materials or workmanship for the original buyer with proof of purchase, and excludes normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, improper storage and cosmetic damage. Aerless chooses whether to repair, replace or give store credit.

Is it easy to return Aerless bags?

Less easy than the advertising suggests. You have 100 days from delivery, but the written policy asks for unused items in their original packaging and says returns carry a handling fee. Reviewers report paying around $10 to $13 for return labels and waiting weeks for refunds. Test one bag first and keep the rest sealed.
