AirFlops Review: $49 Thick-Soled Slides Sold as Therapeutic Slippers

Chunky one-piece foam slides for the house, shower and garden. Comfy and easy to clean, but backless slides are a poor fit for anyone at risk of falls, and therapeutic is unsupported.

Thick foam slides

Quick answer

Comfy slides, not therapy. AirFlops are thick, soft, one-piece foam slides that cushion hard floors and shrug off water, so they work well around the house, in the shower or by the pool.

Our verdict

Comfy slides, not therapy. AirFlops are thick, soft, one-piece foam slides that cushion hard floors and shrug off water, so they work well around the house, in the shower or by the pool. But "therapeutic" and "memory foam" have nothing behind them, extra grip costs $4, and backless slides are a poor choice for anyone at risk of falls. Similar thick foam slides cost less. AirFlops score 3.5 out of 10, held back by claims and price.

The short version

  • What they are: thick-soled, one-piece foam slides printed "Super Air-shoes".
  • Price: $49 for one pair on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $135 flagged as the best seller.
  • Best trait: soft cushioning on hard floors, and waterproof.
  • Biggest drawback: unsupported claims, backless design for falls risk and paid extra grip.
  • Our score: 3.5 out of 10.

Pros & cons

Thick foam slides are a popular comfort buy. The pros reflect that. The cons are about claims, safety for some wearers and value.

What we like

  • Thick, soft one-piece sole that cushions hard floors
  • Waterproof foam, so they suit showers, pools and quick garden trips
  • Wavy tread on the sole for some grip
  • Light and easy to wipe clean
  • The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number

What we don't

  • Backless slides are not recommended for people at risk of falls, per NHS footwear guidance
  • 'Therapeutic' and 'memory foam' claims come with no evidence; the photos show a moulded foam slide
  • An extra anti-slip layer is a $4 add-on, and a lighter version $9 more
  • Sizes appear to come in pairs, such as EU 36-37, so fit can be loose
  • At $49, more than similar thick foam slides
  • Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works

AirFlops are moulded in one piece from soft, light foam, with a thick sole, a wavy footbed and a wide strap across the top of the foot. The sole compresses underfoot to cushion each step, and the foam does not soak up water. They carry the same "Super Air-shoes" branding as the HyperShoes clogs sold through this checkout.

  1. Pick your size range

Step 1: Choose the size range that covers your shoe size, such as EU 36-37, after checking the seller's chart.

  2. Slip them on

Step 2: Slide your feet in; the thick foam sole compresses slightly underfoot.

  3. Wear around the house and shower

Step 3: Use them indoors, in the shower or by the pool, and rinse them clean when needed.

The page title calls them "ergonomic therapeutic slippers", "indoor slippers with memory foam", "memory foam slippers" and "non-slip slippers with perfect grip design". The six bullets promise comfort beyond ordinary slippers, resistance and ergonomics, "memory foam for perfect foot sitting", a special anti-slip design, durability and light weight.

Sizing

The sole in the anti-slip image is marked "36-37", suggesting two-size ranges in EU sizing.

What the page leaves out

There is no size chart, material name or care instructions.

Who it's for

AirFlops suit people standing on hard floors at home, gym and pool users, and anyone wanting easy slip-ons for quick trips outside. They are not for people at risk of falls or needing medical footwear. Our HyperShoes review covers fleece-lined clogs from the same brand with enclosed heels.

  • People who stand on hard floors at home and want cushioning
  • Gym and pool users who want waterproof slides
  • Anyone wanting easy slip-on shoes for quick trips outside

Hard-floor households

Kitchens and tiled floors feel softer underfoot.

Gym and pool users

Quick trips outside

Bins and the garden without lacing up.

Who should skip it

Skip AirFlops if you or the wearer are at risk of falls, if you need medical or orthotic footwear, or if you need a precise fit.

  • Older people or anyone at risk of falls, who need enclosed heels
  • People needing medical or orthotic footwear
  • Buyers who need a precise fit

Are AirFlops really therapeutic and non-slip?

No evidence supports "therapeutic", and backless slides carry a falls risk for some people. NHS footwear guidance for falls prevention advises slippers with enclosed heels, a secure fit and slip-resistant soles, and warns against backless styles. AirFlops have a tread, but grip on wet tiles is limited, and extra grip is an add-on.

What NHS guidance says

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's footwear guide recommends well-fitting footwear that holds the foot securely, with enclosed heels and slip-resistant soles.

What this means for you: buy enclosed, fastened slippers for anyone unsteady on their feet.

"Therapeutic" and "ergonomic"

Cushioning can feel good. Health benefits are not shown.

"Memory foam"

The photos show one-piece moulded foam, not a separate memory foam insole.

Wet floors

Foam soles can slip on wet tiles and marble. Walk carefully.

How much do AirFlops cost, and are the add-ons needed?

On 6 October 2026, one pair of AirFlops cost $49, with the five-pack at $135 flagged as the best seller. The checkout offered an extra anti-slip layer for $4, an extra light version for $9, a car USB charger adapter for $4 and a 3-year warranty for $9. Thick foam slides of this style sell widely for less.

Extra anti-slip layer

For $4, "an additional anti slipping layer for better ground grip even on wet surfaces". The image shows the wavy sole tread. Worth adding if you will wear them on tiles.

Extra light

For $9, "the even lighter version... made of superior material". The image shows red slides held in a hand. The base version is already light foam.

Car adapter and warranty

A $4 car USB charger has nothing to do with slippers; skip it. A 3-year warranty for $9 is not worth it.

Who sells it

The order page names G Com Pte Ltd at 137 Market Street in Singapore, with the email support@g63com.com and a phone number. The footer gives the country as Hong Kong. The page code says charges appear on your card statement as Matrixfze.

Are AirFlops better than other thick foam slides?

No. Thick foam slides of this style are sold widely for less, and branded recovery slides publish their materials. For older people, fastened slippers with enclosed heels are safer.

Are AirFlops legit, and what should you check before buying?

AirFlops are a real product from a named seller, and slides should arrive if you order. Before buying, ask for the size chart, add the grip layer for tiled floors, switch from the five-pack and note the card statement name.

Ask for sizing

What to do: email support@g63com.com and ask for the size chart and materials. Keep the reply.

Check the selected bundle

The five-pack for $135 is flagged as the best seller in the page code. What to do: change the order to the pairs you need.

Card statement name and memberships

The charge appears as Matrixfze. Pages on this checkout have also carried text for a "Gadget Discount Club" membership that is free for 30 days and then billed. What to do: read every checkbox and post-payment page.

Refunds and returns

The page code offers a 30-day guarantee for a full refund or replacement, less shipping and handling. The terms we recorded on 4 October 2026 focus on defective goods, which can be returned within two years once you have a returns number, with return postage at your cost.

How did we score AirFlops?

AirFlops score 3.5 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.5, build durability 0.9, price competitiveness 0.5, usability 1.2 and owner satisfaction 0.4, each out of 2. They look comfortable and practical for wet areas. The score falls on "therapeutic" and "memory foam" claims, a backless design for falls risk, grip sold extra, two-size ranges and a price above similar slides.

How the score breaks down

We use the five criteria on our how we test page, each out of 2.

What owners say

We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for AirFlops by that name. Owners of similar thick foam slides tend to love the soft feel, and complain about slipping on wet floors, sizes between ranges and soles flattening after months.

What we did, and did not, do

Nobody on our team has worn AirFlops. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with NHS footwear guidance and the pages that rank for AirFlops. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.

How to use AirFlops comfortably and safely

Choose the size range that fits snugly, wear them for home, pool and short trips, and take care on wet tiles. Rinse them clean, dry them in the shade, and choose enclosed slippers for anyone unsteady on their feet.

  1. Snug size range. Loose slides slip off.
  2. Home and pool. Not long walks.
  3. Care on wet floors. Shorter steps.
  4. Rinse to clean. Mild soap if needed.
  5. Dry in the shade. Heat can warp foam.
  6. Replace when flat. Worn soles lose grip.
  7. Enclosed slippers for falls risk. For older relatives.

Hot cars

Do not leave foam slides in hot cars; they can deform.

Smell

Wash and air them regularly.

What else do people ask about foam slides?

Most questions are about plantar fasciitis, sizing between ranges and outdoor use. Cushioning can feel good but is not treatment, size down or up depending on fit, and they suit short outdoor trips. Browse our apparel and accessories reviews for more.

Do they help plantar fasciitis?

Some find cushioned slides comfortable; see a podiatrist for treatment.

I am between sizes. Which do I choose?

Ask the seller; slides often run large.

Can I wear them outdoors?

For short trips. Foam wears faster on rough ground.

Are they vegan?

Foam slides usually are; ask the seller.

Frequently asked questions

Are AirFlops therapeutic?

The page calls them ergonomic and therapeutic but gives no evidence. Thick foam slides can feel comfortable on hard floors. For foot pain or conditions, a podiatrist can advise on footwear and orthotics.

How much do AirFlops cost?

On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one pair for $49, two for $69, three (two plus one free) for $98, four for $123 and five (three plus two free) for $135, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. An anti-slip layer cost $4, a lighter version $9 and a 3-year warranty $9.

Are they safe for older people?

NHS footwear guidance advises against backless slippers for people at risk of falls, recommending enclosed heels, a secure fit and slip-resistant soles. AirFlops are backless, so they are not the best choice for that group.

Do they have memory foam?

The page says so, but the photos show a one-piece moulded foam slide with no separate insole. Ask the seller what the footbed is made of.

Can I wear them in the shower?

Yes, one-piece foam slides suit wet areas. Take care on wet tiles; foam soles can still slip.

How do sizes work?

The sole in one image is marked 36-37, suggesting sizes come in two-size ranges. If you are between sizes, the fit may be loose. Ask for the size chart.

Are AirFlops legit?

They are a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are therapeutic claims, backless design for falls risk, grip sold as an add-on, the price and return postage at your cost.

We may earn a commission if you buy through our links.

Prices accurate as of October 6, 2026. Check the seller's checkout for current pricing, promotions and terms.

What we checked: No hands-on use. Claims, product title, feature bullets, photos, the size marking on the sole image, US dollar prices, bundles, add-ons, warranty price, seller details and card statement name from the AirFlops offer page our link opens (gadgetxaura.com) and the data in the page's own code on 2026-10-06. The 30-day guarantee text was read in the same page code that day; the fuller refund and returns terms are as recorded from the site's terms page on 2026-10-04. Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's footwear guide and the top-ranking AirFlops pages were read on 2026-10-06.
