AutoMix Review: A $39 Battery Pan Stirrer That Looks Like the Uutensil Stirr
A battery-powered stand with spinning legs that stirs sauces and soups while you prep. Handy for small jobs, but speeds cost extra, and it is no reason to leave the hob.

Quick answer
A useful little helper, with the wrong price and a risky promise. AutoMix is a battery stand with spinning legs that sits in a pan and stirs sauces, soups and porridge while you chop or plate, which can help cooks who multitask or have sore wrists.

Our verdict
A useful little helper, with the wrong price and a risky promise. AutoMix is a battery stand with spinning legs that sits in a pan and stirs sauces, soups and porridge while you chop or plate, which can help cooks who multitask or have sore wrists. But speed settings, standard on the Uutensil Stirr it resembles, cost $7 more, deep pots need $4 taller legs, and "save yourself from hot spills and burning" sits uneasily with fire safety advice. AutoMix scores 3.5 out of 10, held back by add-ons and price.
The short version
- What it is: a battery-powered automatic stirrer that stands in the pan.
- Price: $39 for one on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $99 flagged as the best seller.
- Best trait: keeps thin sauces moving while you do other jobs.
- Biggest drawback: speeds and tall legs sold extra, and better-known rivals include them.
- Our score: 3.5 out of 10.
Pros & cons
Automatic stirrers have a loyal following for sauces and custards. The pros reflect that. The cons are about add-ons, limits with thick food and safety.
What we like
- Keeps thin sauces, custards and porridge moving while you prep other food
- Heat-resistant legs that sit in the pan, per the offer page
- Runs on standard AA batteries
- Simple one-button operation
- The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number
What we don't
- Speed options are a $7 add-on, though the Uutensil Stirr it resembles has three speeds as standard
- Taller legs for deep pots are a $4 add-on
- Struggles with thick mixtures such as risotto or mashed potato
- 'Save yourself from hot spills and burning' could encourage leaving the stove; unattended cooking is a leading cause of kitchen fires
- Disposable batteries, where rivals offer rechargeable versions
- Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works
AutoMix has a black motor unit on top and a grey plastic leg assembly beneath. Standing in the pan, the motor turns the legs, which brush the base and move the stirrer slowly around the pan, keeping liquids from catching. It runs on AA batteries and comes apart for cleaning.

Fit batteries and legs
Step 1: Insert AA batteries into the motor unit and push it onto the leg assembly.
Stand it in the pan
Step 2: Place it in the centre of a pan of liquid, with the legs resting on the base.
Switch on and stay nearby
Step 3: Press the button; the legs rotate and move around the pan. Stay in the kitchen and check the food.
The page title calls it an "automatic mixer", "automatic stirrer", "self stirring device", "safe stirring", "perfect mixer" and "autonomous mixer machine". The six bullets promise fast, easy use, "safe stirrer, completely automatic", saving you "from hot spills and burning", durable heat-resistant materials, food-grade plastics and standard AA batteries.
The Uutensil Stirr
The shape matches the Uutensil Stirr, sold by retailers such as Lakeland and Walmart, which lists three speed settings and heat-resistant legs.
What the page leaves out
There is no temperature limit, battery life, pan size range or care instructions beyond an icon.
Who it's for
AutoMix suits home cooks who make sauces, custards and porridge, people with limited hand strength or sore wrists, and multitaskers who stay in the kitchen. It is not for leaving the stove or for thick dishes. Our VeggieMaster review covers a chopper from the same checkout.
- Home cooks who make sauces, custards and porridge that need regular stirring
- People with limited hand strength or wrist pain who find stirring tiring
- Anyone multitasking at the stove who will stay in the kitchen
Sauce makers
Béchamel, custard and gravy need steady stirring; a helper frees a hand.
People with wrist pain
Arthritis or wrist injuries make long stirring tiring.
Multitaskers
Prep the next dish while the sauce keeps moving, within arm's reach.
Who should skip it
Skip AutoMix if you hope to leave cooking unattended, if you mostly make thick dishes, or if you prefer rechargeable gadgets.
- Anyone hoping to leave cooking unattended
- Cooks who mostly make thick dishes like risotto or mash
- People who prefer rechargeable gadgets
Is AutoMix safe, and what can it really stir?
It is a helper for thin to medium mixtures, and you still need to stay at the stove. NFPA research found unattended cooking is the leading contributing factor in home cooking fires. AutoMix keeps food moving but cannot turn down the heat, notice smoke or stop a pan boiling over.
Cooking fire safety
Fire Engineering's report on NFPA cooking fire data notes that cooking remains the leading cause of home fires, with unattended cooking a major factor.
What to do: stay in the kitchen while it stirs, and keep handles turned inwards.
Thick mixtures
Risotto, mash and thick stews can slow or tip a battery stirrer. Stir those yourself.
"Save yourself from hot spills and burning"
A stirrer reduces scorching at the base. It does not prevent spills or burns from hot pans.
Heat
Keep the motor away from flames. On gas hobs, use a pan wide enough that flames cannot reach the unit.
How much does AutoMix cost, and are the add-ons needed?
On 6 October 2026, one AutoMix cost $39, with the five-pack at $99 flagged as the best seller. The checkout offered a "high model" with taller legs for $4, speed options for $7, a car USB charger adapter for $4 and a 3-year warranty for $9. Retailers have listed the Uutensil Stirr from about $38.50, with speeds included.

High model
For $4, taller legs "to be used on deeper cooking pots". The image shows the leg assembly and motor separated. Useful for saucepans.

Speed options
For $7, "three speed options to be selected depending on the food being cooked". Faster for thin liquids, slower for delicate ones. Rivals include this.

Car adapter and warranty
A $4 car USB charger has nothing to do with an AA-powered stirrer; skip it. The 3-year warranty costs $9.
Who sells it
The order page names G Com Pte Ltd at 137 Market Street in Singapore, with the email support@g63com.com and a phone number. The footer gives the country as Hong Kong. The page code says charges appear on your card statement as panameedia.

Is AutoMix better than the Uutensil Stirr?
No. The Stirr has the same design with three speeds as standard, and a Stirr Plus adds a timer and rechargeable battery. AutoMix with speeds and tall legs costs $50, more than the standard Stirr. A good whisk and a heavy-based pan also reduce sticking.
| Option | Speeds | Power | Timer | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AutoMix | $7 extra | AA batteries | No | $39 |
| Uutensil Stirr | 3, standard | Batteries | No | From about $38.50 |
| Uutensil Stirr Plus | 3 | Rechargeable | Yes | About $44.95 |

AutoMix scores 3.5 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.6, build durability 0.8, price competitiveness 0.5, usability 1.2 and owner satisfaction 0.4, each out of 2. Automatic stirrers help with thin sauces. The score falls on speeds and tall legs sold extra, disposable batteries, safety wording that could encourage leaving the hob, and a price above the better-known Stirr once add-ons are included.
How the score breaks down
We use the five criteria on our how we test page, each out of 2.
| Criterion | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Claim accuracy | 0.6 / 2 | "Save from burning" and "safe" overstated |
| Build durability | 0.8 / 2 | Plastic legs near heat |

| Usability | 1.2 / 2 | One button, easy to clean |
| Owner satisfaction | 0.4 / 2 | No independent ratings for this listing |
| Total | 3.5 / 10 |
What owners say
We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for AutoMix by that name. Owners of similar automatic stirrers tend to like them for custards and sauces, and complain that they stall in thick food, wander off-centre in large pans and eat batteries.
What we did, and did not, do
Nobody on our team has used AutoMix. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with Uutensil Stirr listings, NFPA cooking fire data and the pages that rank for AutoMix. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.
How to use AutoMix for smooth sauces
Use it in pans of thin to medium liquid on low to medium heat, centre it with the legs on the base, and stay in the kitchen while it stirs. Remove the motor before washing, keep it away from flames, and stir thick mixtures yourself.
- Thin to medium liquids. Sauces, soups, custards.
- Low to medium heat. Prevents scorching and boil-overs.
- Centre it. Legs flat on the base.
- Stay in the kitchen. Always.
- Keep the motor clear of flames. Wide pans on gas.
- Fresh batteries. Weak batteries stall.
- Wash the legs only. Motor stays dry.
For porridge
Add the stirrer once the oats start to thicken, and keep the heat low.
For deep pots
Use the taller legs so the motor stays above the rim.

Frequently asked questions
Does AutoMix work?
For thin to medium liquids such as sauces, soups, custards and porridge, automatic stirrers keep food moving and reduce sticking. Thick mixtures can stop or tip them. It is a helper, not a replacement for watching the pan.
How much does AutoMix cost?
On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one AutoMix for $39, two for $59, three (two plus one free) for $79, four for $89 and five (three plus two free) for $99, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. Taller legs cost $4, speed options $7 and a 3-year warranty $9.
Is AutoMix the same as Uutensil Stirr?
The design matches the Uutensil Stirr, a well-known automatic pan stirrer sold by Lakeland and others, which offers three speeds as standard. We cannot confirm what ships.
Can I leave the kitchen while it stirs?
No. Unattended cooking is the leading factor in home cooking fires, according to NFPA research. Stay in the kitchen while the hob is on.
Will it scratch non-stick pans?
The page says the legs are heat-resistant and food-grade. Nylon or plastic legs are generally safe on non-stick, but check for rough edges.
Is it dishwasher safe?
The main image shows a dishwasher icon. Remove the motor unit before washing the legs, and never immerse the motor.
Is AutoMix legit?
It is a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are speeds and tall legs sold extra, disposable batteries, safety wording, the price and return postage at your cost.
