Our verdict

No. FridgeSan Pro is a small, rechargeable magnetic unit that, judging by the O3 symbols in its images, releases ozone inside your fridge to tackle odours and "sterilise". But the EPA says ozone at concentrations that meet health standards has little ability to remove indoor contaminants, while low amounts can irritate lungs. The page claims it removes pesticide residues and keeps food fresher, with no test, and gives no ozone output. Washing produce and cleaning the fridge work better. FridgeSan Pro scores 2.7 out of 10, held back by its claims.

The short version

  • What it is: a magnetic, rechargeable ozone unit for inside the fridge.
  • Price: $99 for one on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $285 flagged as the best seller.
  • Best trait: small and easy to place.
  • Biggest drawback: ozone with no stated output, and unproven freshness and pesticide claims.
  • Our score: 2.7 out of 10.

Pros & cons

The pros are about convenience. The cons are about safety and claims.

What we like

  • Small, magnetic and rechargeable, so it fits any fridge
  • Simple display and buttons
  • May reduce some fridge odours
  • The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number

What we don't

  • Uses ozone, which the EPA says can irritate lungs and does little against contaminants at safe levels
  • "Eliminates pesticide residues" has no test; the FDA advises washing produce under running water
  • "Keeps food fresher longer" and "360-degree sterilization" are unproven
  • No ozone output, safety cut-off or certification stated
  • At $99, it costs far more than an open box of baking soda
  • Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works

Ozone (O3) is a reactive form of oxygen. Small ozone generators make it with an electrical discharge and release it into the air, where it can react with some odour molecules. FridgeSan Pro appears to do this in cycles inside the fridge, with a display and buttons on the front, a magnetic back and a rechargeable battery. The page does not say how much ozone it releases.

The unit as shown on the offer page. Image: FridgeSan Pro
  1. Charge it

Step 1: Charge the unit by USB.

  2. Stick it in the fridge

Step 2: Attach it magnetically or place it on a shelf away from direct contact with food.

  3. Run a cycle

Step 3: Press the button; it releases small amounts of ozone in cycles, according to the O3 graphics on the page.

The page title lists claims that it "Keeps Food Fresh Longer", "Eliminates Odors And Pesticide Residues", offers "360-Degree Sterilization For All-Around Protection" and "Promotes A Healthier Refrigerator Environment". The six bullets repeat fresher food, odour and pesticide removal, 360-degree sterilisation, magnetic installation, food safety and long battery life.

What the page leaves out

Ozone output, cycle length, automatic shut-off, safety certification and any test of freshness or pesticide removal.

Who it's for

FridgeSan Pro might suit someone with a stubborn fridge smell who has already cleaned thoroughly and accepts the EPA's cautions about ozone. For a kitchen gadget with fewer safety questions, our Vacuumer Max review covers a handheld vacuum pump for food storage bags.

  • People with a persistent fridge smell who have already cleaned it
  • Buyers curious about ozone deodorisers who accept the EPA's cautions
  • Anyone wanting a small rechargeable unit that sticks to the fridge wall

Stubborn odours

After cleaning, some people try deodorisers for lingering smells.

Curious buyers

If you want to try ozone, understand the trade-offs first.

Who should skip it

Skip FridgeSan Pro if anyone in the home has asthma or breathing problems, if you expect it to remove pesticides or extend food life, or if cleaning and baking soda would do the job.

  • Anyone with asthma or breathing problems
  • People expecting it to remove pesticides or keep food fresh for longer
  • Anyone who can solve odours with cleaning and baking soda
  • Households with young children who may open the fridge often and breathe in

Is the ozone in FridgeSan Pro safe and effective?

The EPA says ozone is a lung irritant and does little at safe levels. Its page on ozone generators says relatively low amounts can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and throat irritation and can worsen asthma, and that at concentrations within public health standards, ozone has little potential to remove indoor air contaminants. Generators can exceed safe levels even when used as directed.

What the EPA says

The EPA's page on ozone generators sold as air cleaners recommends removing pollution sources and ventilating instead.

What this means for you: in a closed fridge, ozone builds up, and you breathe it in when you open the door.

"Provides 360-Degree Sterilization"

No test, organism list or contact time is given.

Food contact

Ozone can react with food surfaces; no testing on flavour or nutrients is offered.

Does FridgeSan Pro remove pesticides or keep food fresher?

There is no evidence on the page for either. The FDA's advice for produce is simple: gently rub it under plain running water, scrub firm produce with a clean brush and dry it, with no need for soap or produce washes. Freshness depends on fridge temperature, storage and handling.

What the FDA recommends

The FDA's tips for cleaning fruits and vegetables cover washing, scrubbing and drying.

What to do: wash produce before eating, keep your fridge at 40°F (4°C) or below, and store produce in the crisper drawers.

"Keeps Food Fresher Longer"

No shelf-life test is given. Ethylene from ripening fruit and moisture matter more.

Is FridgeSan Pro better than baking soda, cleaning or a carbon filter?

No. Cleaning removes the source of smells; baking soda and activated carbon fridge deodorisers absorb odours without releasing anything. Both cost a fraction of FridgeSan Pro and raise no ozone questions.

What owners say

We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for FridgeSan Pro by that name. Owners of similar fridge ozone units report mixed odour results, a sharp smell when opening the fridge and batteries that need frequent charging.

What we did, and did not, do

Nobody on our team has used FridgeSan Pro. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with EPA ozone guidance, FDA produce washing advice and the pages that rank for FridgeSan Pro. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.

How to use FridgeSan Pro, and keep your fridge fresh without it

Clean first, store well, and use an absorbent deodoriser. Throw out spoiled food, wipe shelves with warm soapy water, keep the fridge at 40°F (4°C) or below, and leave an open box of baking soda. If you use FridgeSan Pro, run it sparingly and stop if anyone notices irritation.

What else do people ask about fridge purifiers?

Most questions are about UV versions, ozone smell and pets' food. UV units only reach surfaces they shine on, a sharp clean smell is ozone, and pet food is better kept sealed. Browse our kitchen tech reviews for more.

What is the sharp smell?

Likely ozone. Ventilate and reduce use.

Can it run all the time?

The page does not say; constant ozone in a closed fridge is not advisable.

Will it damage the fridge seals?

Ozone can degrade rubber over time.

Is UV better?

UV only works on surfaces it shines on directly.

Is ozone safe?

The EPA says relatively low amounts of ozone can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and throat irritation, and can worsen asthma. Ozone generators can exceed safe levels even when used as instructed.

No evidence is given. Freshness depends mostly on fridge temperature, storage and handling. Keep your fridge at 40°F (4°C) or below and store produce properly.

What works better for fridge smells?

Clean spills, throw out spoiled food, wipe shelves and leave an open box of baking soda. These remove the source rather than masking it.

Is FridgeSan Pro legit?

It is a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are ozone without stated output or safety limits, unproven freshness and pesticide claims and return postage at your cost.
