ElectronX Ruler Review: A $67 Roll-to-Measure Gadget, and Where It Beats a Tape
A puck-sized digital ruler you roll along a surface to measure length and curves. Handy for curved edges, but the charging cable costs extra and a tape measure is still better for bodies.

Quick answer
A neat tool for curves, not a tape measure replacement. ElectronX Ruler is a round digital gadget with a small wheel that you roll along a surface; it shows the distance and a calculated radius, which makes measuring curved edges, outlines and routes on plans easy.

Our verdict
A neat tool for curves, not a tape measure replacement. ElectronX Ruler is a round digital gadget with a small wheel that you roll along a surface; it shows the distance and a calculated radius, which makes measuring curved edges, outlines and routes on plans easy. But the page gives no accuracy figure, sells the charging cable as a $3 add-on, and pitches it for body measurements, where a soft tape is simpler. At $67, similar rolling rulers cost less. ElectronX Ruler scores 3.6 out of 10, held back by price and missing specs.
The short version
- What it is: a rechargeable rolling digital ruler with a backlit display.
- Price: $67 for one on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $196 flagged as the best seller.
- Best trait: quick measurements of curves and outlines.
- Biggest drawback: no accuracy figure, cable sold extra and a high price.
- Our score: 3.6 out of 10.
Pros & cons
Rolling digital rulers are genuinely handy for some jobs. The pros reflect that. The cons are about missing details and value.
What we like
- Measures curves and edges by rolling, which a straight ruler cannot
- Backlit display shows length and a calculated radius
- Small enough for a pocket or toolbox
- Rechargeable, with a long claimed standby life
- The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number
What we don't
- The USB-C charging cable is a $3 add-on
- Accuracy depends on rolling smoothly without slipping; no accuracy figure is given
- 'Ideal for taking body measures' oversells it; a flexible tape is easier for waists and limbs
- '200 days battery life per charge' is likely standby, not active use
- At $67, it costs more than similar rolling rulers
- Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works
ElectronX Ruler is a puck-shaped device with a small measuring wheel on its edge and a display on top. When you roll the wheel along a surface, sensors count its turns and convert them to distance. Because it follows the path you trace, it measures curves as easily as straight lines. It also shows a radius value, calculated from the path, for arcs and round objects.

Zero it at the start
Step 1: Switch on, place the wheel at the start point and press to zero the reading.
Roll steadily along the edge
Step 2: Roll the ruler along the surface or curve at an even pace, keeping the wheel in contact so it does not slip.
Read length and radius
Step 3: Stop at the end point and read the length, plus the calculated radius for curved paths.
The page title calls it a "precision electronic ruler", "digital curve meter", "electronic distance meter", "electronic curve meter" and "fast digital ruler". The six bullets promise instant distance measuring, curve measuring, use for body measurements, automatic radius calculation, "impressive 200 days battery life per charge" and a backlit display with hardened glass.
The design
The round shape and display closely resemble the Duka Atuman electronic rulers sold through Xiaomi's ecosystem. We could not confirm the maker.
What the page leaves out
There is no accuracy rating, maximum length, unit options or wheel size.
Who it's for
ElectronX Ruler suits crafters, woodworkers and DIYers measuring curved edges, and anyone measuring routes on maps or plans. It is not the best tool for bodies or clothing, or for certified professional measurements. Our KeyX24 review covers a keyring multitool from the same checkout.
- Crafters, woodworkers and DIYers measuring curved edges and outlines
- Anyone measuring routes on maps or plans
- Gadget fans who like a digital readout
Crafters and sewers
Measuring curved pattern pieces or edges of fabric on a table is quick.
Woodworkers and DIYers
Curved worktops, arches and pipe circumferences are easier with a rolling wheel.
Map and plan readers
Rolling along a route on a printed map gives a quick distance at scale.
Who should skip it
Skip ElectronX Ruler if you mainly measure bodies or clothes, if you need certified accuracy, or if you rarely measure curves and already own a tape.
- People mainly measuring bodies or clothes, where a soft tape is simpler
- Anyone needing certified precision for professional work
- Buyers who already have a tape measure and rarely measure curves
How accurate is ElectronX Ruler, and can it measure your body?
Reasonably accurate on firm surfaces, if you roll smoothly, but the page gives no figure, and bodies are a poor fit. Rolling measures lose accuracy when the wheel slips, skids or bounces over soft or uneven surfaces. For waist measurements, health guidance uses a flexible tape placed level, which is simpler than rolling a wheel around a soft body.
Rolling accuracy
Keep the wheel in contact and roll at an even speed. Check it against a known length, such as a steel rule, before relying on it.
What this means for you: calibrate it against a ruler and roll slowly.
Body measurements
World Cancer Research Fund UK's guide to measuring your waist describes a tape placed halfway between the lowest rib and the top of the hip bone, level and snug, after breathing out. A rolling wheel struggles to follow that path.
"200 days battery life per charge"
Likely standby time. Regular use drains it faster.
"Hardened glass"
Glass displays can still crack if dropped on hard floors.

Is ElectronX Ruler better than a tape measure or a laser measure?
For curves, yes; for most other jobs, no. A tape measure costs little and handles bodies, rooms and straight runs. A laser distance meter measures room dimensions without touching walls. ElectronX Ruler's niche is curved edges and outlines, where it is quicker than a flexible tape.
| Tool | Curves | Bodies | Rooms | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ElectronX Ruler | Yes | Awkward | Slow | $67 |
| Soft tape measure | Yes, by hand | Yes | No | Very low |
| Steel tape measure | Limited | No | Yes | Low |
| Laser distance meter | No | No | Yes | Varies |
ElectronX Ruler vs a soft tape
A soft tape is cheap and suits bodies and clothes. That is where the alternative wins.
ElectronX Ruler vs a laser measure
Lasers measure walls and rooms quickly; they cannot follow curves.

What owners say
We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for ElectronX Ruler by that name. Owners of similar rolling digital rulers tend to like measuring curves and the bright display, and complain that readings drift if the wheel slips and that they are slower than a tape for simple jobs.
What we did, and did not, do
Nobody on our team has used ElectronX Ruler. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with waist measuring guidance and the pages that rank for ElectronX Ruler. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.
How to use ElectronX Ruler accurately
Check it against a steel ruler first, zero it at the start point, then roll slowly and evenly with the wheel firmly on the surface. Measure twice and take the average for important cuts, avoid soft or bumpy surfaces, and keep it charged.
- Test against a ruler. Note any difference.
- Zero at the start. Line up the pointer mark.
- Firm contact. Keep the wheel on the surface.
- Slow and even. No sudden moves.
- Measure twice. Average the readings.
- Avoid soft surfaces. Fabric bunches and skews readings.
- Charge regularly. Low power can affect readings.
Measuring circles
Mark a start point, roll all the way round, and use the circumference reading.
Units
Check the settings for centimetres, inches or other units.

What else do people ask about digital rolling rulers?
Most questions are about long distances, units and tyres. Long runs build up small errors, most rulers switch units, and they can measure tyre circumference if rolled carefully. Browse our tool reviews for more.
Can it measure long distances?
Errors add up over long runs. Use a measuring wheel or tape for rooms and gardens.
Can it switch to inches?
Many rolling rulers can. Check the manual.
Can it measure a bicycle tyre?
Rolling around a tyre can work if you keep the wheel firmly on it.
Is it waterproof?
The page gives no water rating. Keep it dry.
Frequently asked questions
How does ElectronX Ruler measure?
A small wheel on the edge turns as you roll it, and the device converts wheel turns into distance. Because it follows the path, it can measure curves and outlines that a straight ruler cannot.
How accurate is it?
The page gives no accuracy figure. Rolling measures are accurate when the wheel rolls without slipping on a firm surface. Soft, bumpy or slippery surfaces and rolling too fast reduce accuracy.
How much does ElectronX Ruler cost?
On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one ElectronX Ruler for $67, two for $97, three (two plus one free) for $134, four for $169 and five (three plus two free) for $196, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. A USB-C cable cost $3, an aluminium body $9 and a 3-year warranty $9.
Can I use it to measure my waist?
It is awkward. Health guidance on measuring your waist uses a tape measure placed level, halfway between the lowest rib and the top of the hip bone. Rolling a wheel around a soft body is less reliable.
Is the charging cable included?
The checkout sells the 'original USB-Type C charging cable' as a $3 add-on, which suggests it may not be in the box. Any USB-C cable should work.
How long does the battery last?
The page claims 200 days per charge, which is likely standby time with occasional use. Heavy use will drain it faster.
Is ElectronX Ruler legit?
It is a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are no accuracy figure, the cable sold extra, body measuring claims, the price and return postage at your cost.
