FreshBreeze Review: A $79 Cube Evaporative Cooler With a Wet Filter and Optional Mood Light

A small cube cooler that blows air through a water-soaked filter. It can ease dry heat at a desk, but it is not air conditioning, and the wet filter needs regular care.

Cube evaporative cooler

Quick answer

Only for dry heat, and only for the spot right in front of you. FreshBreeze is a small cube that blows air through a water-soaked filter, the same principle as larger evaporative coolers, and in dry weather that breeze feels noticeably cooler than a plain fan.

Our verdict

Only for dry heat, and only for the spot right in front of you. FreshBreeze is a small cube that blows air through a water-soaked filter, the same principle as larger evaporative coolers, and in dry weather that breeze feels noticeably cooler than a plain fan. But it does not cool a room, does little in humid weather, needs its wet filter dried and cleaned to avoid mould, and sells a quieter brushless fan for $14 despite "silent" wording. FreshBreeze scores 3.3 out of 10, held back by overstated cooling claims.

The short version

  • What it is: a cube-shaped personal evaporative cooler with a wet filter and rear fan.
  • Price: $79 for one on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $197 flagged as the best seller.
  • Best trait: a cooler breeze at a desk in dry heat.
  • Biggest drawback: weak in humidity and no substitute for air conditioning.
  • Our score: 3.3 out of 10.

Pros & cons

The pros reflect what evaporative cooling can do in the right climate. The cons reflect its limits and the listing's gaps.

What we like

  • A breeze through a wet filter feels cooler than a plain fan in dry air
  • Compact cube that sits on a desk or bedside table
  • Top-fill water inlet and a side window to check the level
  • USB powered, according to the add-on
  • The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number

What we don't

  • Evaporative coolers do little in humid weather and add humidity to the room
  • "Instant cooling" and "on the hottest days" overstate a small personal cooler
  • A quieter brushless fan is a $14 upgrade despite "silent fan" wording
  • Wet filters can grow mould without regular drying and cleaning
  • The 3-year warranty costs $24, nearly a third of the price
  • Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works

FreshBreeze holds water in a tank that wicks into a porous filter block behind the front grille. A fan at the back pulls room air through the wet filter. As some of the water evaporates, it takes heat from the air, so the air leaving the front is slightly cooler and more humid. Louvres direct the breeze. The exploded view in the add-on image shows the grille, filter, top water cap, shell and rear fan.

The cooler as shown on the offer page. Image: FreshBreeze
  1. Fill the tank

Step 1: Open the top cap and pour in cool, clean water, checking the level in the side window.

  2. Let the filter soak

Step 2: Wait a few minutes for water to wick into the filter pad.

  3. Switch on and sit close

Step 3: Press the front button; the rear fan pulls air through the wet filter and blows cooler, moister air at you.

The page title calls it a "FreshBreeze Cooler And Humidifier", "Personal Air Cooler", "Potent Desktop Air Cooler" and "Powerful Personal Air Cooler". The six bullets promise instant cooling with fresh, humidified air, a fast and silent fan, a new airflow design, high performance "on the hottest days", durable materials and desktop use.

What the page leaves out

Tank size, run time per fill, fan speeds, noise, power draw, battery, filter material and replacement filters.

A crowded shelf

This checkout sells several "personal air coolers" at the same $79: our CoolEdge review covers a cube with a handle and battery, and our CoolSpot review a round fan with a mister.

Who it's for

FreshBreeze suits desk workers in hot, dry places, people who want a small bedside cooler with a soft light, and renters without air conditioning who need relief in one spot.

  • Desk workers in hot, dry climates who want a cooler personal breeze
  • Anyone wanting a small bedside cooler with a soft coloured light
  • Renters who cannot fit an air conditioner and need something for one spot

Dry-climate desks

Evaporative cooling works best where air is dry.

Bedside

The mood light add-on suits a bedroom, without the fan blowing on bedding.

One spot, not one room

Sit within an arm's length or two for any noticeable effect.

Who should skip it

Skip FreshBreeze if you live somewhere humid, want to cool a whole room, or will not dry and clean a wet filter regularly.

  • Anyone in a humid climate
  • People hoping to cool a whole room
  • Anyone who will not clean and dry a wet filter regularly

How much does FreshBreeze really cool, and is the wet filter safe?

A little, close up, in dry air; and the filter is safe only if you keep it clean. The US Department of Energy explains that evaporative cooling lowers air temperature most in hot, dry climates and loses effect as humidity rises. A small desk unit cools the air right in front of it. Any appliance that holds water can grow microbes, so the EPA stresses emptying, cleaning and drying.

Evaporative cooling, explained

The DOE's evaporative coolers guide covers how and where evaporative coolers work best.

What this means for you: in humid weather, use it as a fan only.

Keeping the filter clean

The EPA's humidifier care guide advises emptying, cleaning and drying water-holding appliances regularly to prevent microbial growth.

What to do: empty the tank after each use, run the fan dry for a while to dry the filter, and clean it weekly.

"Fast and Silent Fan For Potent Air Blow"

A quieter brushless fan is a $14 upgrade, which suggests the standard fan is audible.

How much does FreshBreeze cost, and are the add-ons worth it?

On 6 October 2026, one FreshBreeze cost $79, with the five-pack at $197 flagged as the best seller. The checkout offered a night light upgrade for $7, a brushless fan motor for $14, a USB car adapter for $4 and a 3-year warranty for $24. The warranty costs almost a third of the cooler itself.

Is FreshBreeze better than a plain fan or a portable air conditioner?

Better than a fan only in dry heat; never a substitute for air conditioning. A plain USB desk fan moves similar air with no water to manage. A portable or window air conditioner is the only option here that lowers room temperature on humid days.

Where a rival wins

A plain fan gives most of the comfort with none of the water care, and air conditioning is the real answer for heat waves.

Is FreshBreeze legit, and what should you check before buying?

FreshBreeze is a real cooler from a named seller, and it should arrive if you order. Before buying, check your local humidity, ask for specs and replacement filters, switch from the five-pack and note the card statement name.

Ask for specs and filters

What to do: email support@g63com.com for tank size, run time, noise, power source and whether replacement filters are sold. Keep the reply.

Check the selected bundle

The five-pack for $197 is flagged as the best seller in the page code. What to do: change the order to one cooler.

Card statement name and memberships

The charge appears as panameedia. Pages on this checkout have also carried text for a "Gadget Discount Club" membership that is free for 30 days and then billed. What to do: read every checkbox and post-payment page.

Refunds and returns

The page code offers a 30-day guarantee for a full refund or replacement, less shipping and handling. The terms we recorded on 4 October 2026 focus on defective goods, which can be returned within two years once you have a returns number, with return postage at your cost.

How to buy FreshBreeze the smart way

  1. Ask support for specs and filter availability.
  2. Open the FreshBreeze order page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab) and select your country.
  3. Change the five-pack to one cooler.
  4. Add the brushless fan if noise matters; skip the warranty and car adapter unless you need them.
  5. Note the card statement name, panameedia.

How did we score FreshBreeze?

FreshBreeze scores 3.3 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.5, build durability 0.7, price competitiveness 0.5, usability 1.2 and owner satisfaction 0.4, each out of 2. It is a compact evaporative cooler that helps in dry heat. The score falls on "instant cooling" claims, poor humid-weather performance, filter upkeep, a quieter fan sold separately and a costly warranty.

What owners say

We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for FreshBreeze by that name. Owners of similar cube coolers like the cool breeze in dry weather and the light, and complain about musty filters, small tanks, leaks and little effect in humid summers.

What we did, and did not, do

Nobody on our team has used FreshBreeze. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with DOE and EPA guidance and the pages that rank for FreshBreeze. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.

How to use FreshBreeze for the coolest, freshest air

Use cool water, sit close, keep a window or door slightly open so humid air can escape, and dry the filter after every session. On humid days, run it as a fan with the tank empty. Clean the filter weekly and replace it if it smells musty.

  1. Cool water. A little ice briefly helps.
  2. Sit within arm's length. The effect is local.
  3. Ventilate. Let moist air out of the room.
  4. Fan only in humidity. Empty the tank.
  5. Dry after use. Run the fan with no water.
  6. Clean weekly. Rinse the filter and tank.
  7. Replace musty filters. Ask the seller for spares.

Using the night light

Run the light without the fan overnight if the breeze disturbs sleep.

Storage

Dry everything completely before storing for winter.

What else do people ask about mini evaporative coolers?

Most questions are about leaks, smell and running time. Overfilling and tilting cause leaks, smells mean the filter needs cleaning, and run time depends on tank size, which is not stated. Browse our household gadget reviews for more.

Why does it smell?

A damp filter can grow microbes. Clean or replace it.

Will it leak?

Not if filled to the line and kept level.

How long does a tank last?

The page does not say.

Does it need distilled water?

Not essential for a wet-filter cooler, but it reduces mineral build-up.

Frequently asked questions

How much does FreshBreeze cost?

On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one FreshBreeze for $79, two for $119, three (two plus one free) for $137, four for $179 and five (three plus two free) for $197, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. A night light cost $7, a brushless fan $14 and a 3-year warranty $24.

Does FreshBreeze work like an air conditioner?

No. It is an evaporative cooler: a fan blows air through a wet filter, which cools the air a little as water evaporates. The DOE explains this works best in hot, dry climates. It cools the air right in front of it, not a room.

Does it work in humid weather?

Poorly. Evaporation slows when air is already humid, so the breeze feels damp rather than cool. In humid climates, a plain fan or air conditioner is a better choice.

How do I stop the filter going mouldy?

Empty the tank when not in use, let the filter dry out fully, and clean it regularly. The EPA's humidifier guidance stresses emptying, cleaning and drying water-holding appliances to prevent microbial growth.

Can I add ice?

Ice water makes the air slightly cooler for a short time. Check the tank can take ice without overflowing.

Is FreshBreeze the same as CoolEdge or CoolSpot?

They are different shapes from the same checkout, all sold as personal air coolers at $79. CoolEdge is a cube with a handle and battery, CoolSpot a round fan with a mister, and FreshBreeze a cube with a wet filter and optional mood light.

Is FreshBreeze legit?

It is a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are 'air cooler' wording, no specs, a quieter fan sold separately, a costly warranty and return postage at your cost.

We may earn a commission if you buy through our links.
