Both pillowcases are sold as an upgrade from ordinary cotton, both cost around $120 for two on their offer pages, and both promise healthier-looking skin and hair. They are made from different materials for different reasons. The Blissy is 22-momme mulberry silk with a hidden zipper, sold on lower friction for hair and skin. The Miracle Made pillowcases are cotton sateen treated with silver, sold on staying fresh longer between washes.
So the useful question is what bothers you in the morning: frizz and creases, or a pillowcase that smells stale before laundry day. The scorecard above sums up the rounds. Below is how each one was decided, based on our full reviews, the brands' pages and policies, owner reports and hands-on reviews by others. Nobody on our team has slept on either.
Which one is better for hair and skin?
Blissy. Silk is smooth at the fibre level, so hair slides across it as you turn instead of catching the way it does on cotton. Owners with curly, long and colour-treated hair report fewer tangles and less frizz, and face sleepers report fewer pressure creases. Blissy uses 22-momme, grade 6A mulberry silk, which is denser and more durable than the common 19-momme budget grade.
Keep Blissy's own numbers in proportion. Its "clinically shown" claims, such as 94 percent reporting less frizz, are self-reported results from a study Blissy commissioned. No pillowcase reverses wrinkles or treats acne.
Miracle Made's sateen weave is smoother than a rough percale, so it is gentler than basic cotton, but it is still cotton. If hair is your reason for buying, it is the wrong product.
Which one stays fresh longer?
Miracle Made. Silver has been used in socks, sportswear and hospital linens for decades because it inhibits the bacteria that turn sweat and skin oil into a sour smell. The brand's "99.7 percent" and "3x less laundry" figures have no published test method, so read them as a laboratory best case. The effect is real in kind.
Silk makes no freshness claim, and it does not resist odour or build-up any better than cotton. Neither case reduces the need to wash for the skin oil, hair products and makeup that collect on a pillowcase. If you use night creams or have acne-prone skin, wash either one weekly.
Which one is easier to look after?
Miracle Made. Cotton goes in the wash with the rest of your bedding.
The Blissy needs more care: a cold, gentle machine cycle, a pH-neutral silk detergent with no enzymes or bleach, a mesh bag with the case zipped closed, and air drying out of direct sun. Do not leave a coloured case soaking, because owners warn the dye can bleed. The hidden zipper keeps the case on the pillow, but it is also the most common failure point in owner complaints. Silk feels cool on first contact, but it does not keep you cooler through the night; Miracle Made's Extra Luxe line adds a cooling finish the brand says feels 3 to 4 degrees cooler.
Where is each one cheapest?
This matters more than usual, because the offer pages and the brand stores price them very differently.
| What you buy | Price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| One Blissy Queen case, offer page | $69.95 | Free shipping |
| One Blissy King case, offer page | $79.95 | Free shipping |
| One Blissy Queen case, blissy.com | $105.95 | Same case |
| Two Miracle cases, offer page | $119.90 | Includes two free washcloths |
| Two Miracle Luxe cases, brand store | $39 | 100-night trial |
| Two Miracle Extra Luxe cases, brand store | $59 | Adds a cooling finish |
For Blissy, the offer page is the cheaper place to buy, and one case is the sensible order rather than the four-pack. Comparable 22-momme silk from other brands costs $30 to $50 a case. For Miracle Made, the offer page charges about three times what the brand's own store does, for the same kind of case with a shorter return window. Buy Miracle pillowcases from the store.
What happens if you do not like it?
Miracle Made is far easier to return. On the offer page you have 30 days after delivery, even if the cases have been used, with a free return label from support. On the brand store, the cases come with a 100-night trial and free returns.
Blissy's checkout promises a refund if you are unsatisfied within 60 days. Its written refund policy is narrower: items must be unused and in the original packaging, sale items cannot be refunded, and you pay return shipping. Since the offer price is a sale price, treat a Blissy you have slept on as yours to keep and decide before you open it.
Whose claims hold up better?
Blissy, on owner evidence. More than 5,800 Trustpilot reviewers rate it 4.5 out of 5, and the silk is the right spec. Its weak points are the self-reported study and a refund policy narrower than its banner. Blissy is a Los Angeles company founded in 2017 whose cases also sell in Target stores.
Miracle Made's core claim is modest and believable, but its headline numbers are unpublished, its own pages disagree on the cotton and on where the cases are made, and the brand's Trustpilot rating is 2.7 out of 5, with complaints about fraying and sizing.
Which one should you buy?
Buy the Blissy if frizz, tangles or face creases are the problem, especially with curly or treated hair, or if you want a boxed gift. Buy one case at the offer price and decide before you open it.
Buy Miracle Made pillowcases if a stale-smelling pillowcase is the problem and you want something you can wash with your bedding and return after use. Buy them from Miracle's own store, not the offer page. If you want the matching bedding, see our Miracle Made sheets review. If the problem is neck pain rather than the pillowcase, start with the pillow; our Sleepgram vs Blissy comparison covers that choice, and the best sleep products guide lists our top picks.
Our verdict
The Blissy is the better pillowcase for most people choosing between these two, scoring 6.5 against 6.1, because it is the right-spec silk for the problems most people buy a premium pillowcase to fix, and thousands of owners rate it highly. Miracle Made wins on freshness, care, returns and, bought from its own store, price, which makes it the smarter buy if odour is your only complaint. Neither treats acne or wrinkles. Read the full Blissy review or Miracle Made pillowcases review for every drawback before you choose.

Frequently asked questions
Is a silk or a silver pillowcase better?
They solve different problems. Silk, like the Blissy, reduces friction, so it helps with frizz, tangles and sleep creases. Silver-treated cotton, like Miracle Made, limits the bacteria that make a pillowcase smell stale. Choose by your main complaint; neither treats acne or wrinkles.
Is Blissy better than Miracle pillowcases for hair?
Yes. Hair slides across smooth silk instead of catching, which is the one thing silk does measurably better than cotton. Miracle Made's cotton sateen is smoother than percale, but it is still cotton. People with curly, long or colour-treated hair notice the difference most.
Where are Miracle pillowcases cheapest?
On Miracle Made's own store. On 3 October 2026 it sold two Luxe cases for $39 and two Extra Luxe cases for $59 with a 100-night trial. The offer page our link opens charged $119.90 for two with a 30-day window, about three times the store price.
Can I return a Blissy or Miracle pillowcase after using it?
Miracle Made, yes: used cases are accepted, with 30 days on the offer page and a 100-night trial on its store. Blissy's checkout shows a 60-day guarantee, but its written refund policy only covers unused cases in original packaging and excludes sale items, so treat a slept-on Blissy as yours to keep.
Do I need to wash a silk pillowcase less often than cotton?
No. Silk does not resist odour or build-up any better than cotton. Wash any pillowcase every week or two, weekly if you use night creams or have acne-prone skin. Miracle Made's silver slows the smell, not the build-up of skin oil and hair products.
