A cordless handheld brush that spins to scrub and buff shoes. It can save some elbow grease, but the polishing heads cost extra, and 'safe on all shoes' needs care with suede.

Our verdict

Handy for some, unnecessary for most. CleanX is a cordless handheld brush that spins to scrub sneakers or buff leather shoes, which can save effort if you clean shoes often or find hand-scrubbing tiring. But the polishing heads you need for leather are a $9 add-on, the page gives no battery or speed details, and "safe on all kinds of shoes" ignores suede. A hand brush and a good cleaner do most of the same job for far less. CleanX scores 3.5 out of 10, held back by price and paid extras.

The short version

  • What it is: a battery-powered handheld brush with a rotating head for shoes.
  • Price: $49 for one on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $135 flagged as the best seller.
  • Best trait: takes the effort out of scrubbing and buffing.
  • Biggest drawback: polishing heads cost extra, no specs, and manual kits cost much less.
  • Our score: 3.5 out of 10.

Pros & cons

Powered shoe brushes are a modest convenience. The pros reflect that. The cons are about what the base price includes and the claims.

What we like

  • Rotating brush head does the scrubbing motion for you
  • Cordless and battery powered, so it works anywhere
  • Small and light, easy to keep by the door
  • Buffing and polishing heads are available for leather shoes
  • The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number

What we don't

  • The polishing and buffing heads are a $9 add-on; the main photo shows one brush
  • 'Safe to use on all kind of shoes' ignores that suede and nubuck need gentle, dry care
  • No battery type, run time, speed or water resistance on the page
  • A small motor offers little more than a hand brush and cleaner
  • At $49, it costs several times a good manual sneaker cleaning kit
  • Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works

CleanX is a black handheld body, shaped like a facial cleansing brush, with a round head that spins when switched on. Batteries power a small motor. You press the spinning bristles against the shoe with a little water and cleaner to scrub dirt off, or swap to a wool or sponge pad to apply and buff polish on leather.

The brush as shown on the offer page. Image: CleanX
  1. Fit a head

Step 1: Push the brush head onto the spindle, or a buffing pad if you have the full brush set.

  2. Add a little cleaner

Step 2: Dampen the brush lightly with water and a shoe cleaner, or apply polish to leather shoes first.

  3. Switch on and work in circles

Step 3: Hold the spinning head against the shoe and move it slowly over the upper and sole, then wipe off foam or buff to a shine.

The page title calls it a "shoes cleaner", "shoes polishing", "sneakers cleaner", "automatic shoes cleaner", "motorized shoes polisher" and "hand-held polisher". The six bullets promise an automated cleaner, an "effective rotating brush for fast cleaning", safety "on all kind of shoes", a simple low-profile design, portability, and that it is "completely wire-free battery operated".

What the page leaves out

There is no battery type, run time, speed, water resistance or list of heads included. The body's shape suggests a design shared with handheld facial brushes.

Which head for which job

Stiff bristles suit rubber soles and canvas. Soft pads suit smooth leather. Wool buffers polish. The main photo shows only a soft white bristle head.

Who it's for

CleanX suits people who polish leather work shoes, sneaker owners who scrub soles regularly, and anyone whose hands or wrists tire from scrubbing. It does not suit suede or delicate knit shoes, or anyone happy with a hand brush. Our ShoeSterilizer Pro review covers a shoe dryer from the same checkout.

  • People with leather work shoes who want help buffing polish
  • Sneaker owners who scrub soles and canvas regularly
  • Anyone with sore hands or wrists who finds hand-scrubbing tiring

Leather shoe wearers

Buffing polish to a shine is quicker with a spinning wool pad, if you buy the full set.

Sneaker fans

Midsoles and rubber edges come up cleaner with a powered scrub.

People with sore hands

A motor does the repetitive motion, which helps with arthritis or wrist pain.

Who should skip it

Skip CleanX if most of your shoes are suede, nubuck or delicate knit, if a hand brush works for you, or if you want stated battery life and specs.

  • Owners of suede, nubuck or delicate knit shoes who want a wet scrub
  • People happy with a hand brush and cleaner
  • Buyers who want stated battery life and specs

Is CleanX really safe and effective on all kinds of shoes?

Not all kinds. Canvas and leather sneakers respond well to gentle scrubbing with a cleaner, as Adidas's own care guide describes. Suede and nubuck are usually cleaned dry with a suede brush in one direction, and a wet spinning brush can mat or stain them. The page offers no test of cleaning power.

What shoe makers advise

Adidas's guide to cleaning canvas and leather sneakers recommends removing laces, brushing off loose dirt, then cleaning with a mild solution and soft brush or cloth, and air drying away from heat.

What this means for you: a gentle approach matters more than a motor.

Suede and nubuck

A suede cleaning guide advises a dedicated suede brush, brushing in one direction to protect the fibres.

What to do: keep CleanX for soles, canvas and smooth leather.

"Effective rotating brush for fast cleaning"

A small battery motor spins gently. It saves effort, but does not clean deeper than a hand brush and a good cleaner.

Knit uppers

Spinning bristles can pull or fuzz knit fabrics. Use a soft hand brush instead.

How much does CleanX cost, and are the add-ons needed?

On 6 October 2026, one CleanX cost $49, with the five-pack at $135 flagged as the best seller. The checkout offered a carrying case for $4, a full brush and polishing set for $9, a USB car adapter for $4 and a 3-year warranty for $9. For leather polishing, the brush set is effectively required, bringing it to $58.

Is CleanX better than a manual sneaker cleaning kit?

No for most people. A manual kit with a soft brush, a stiff brush and a gentle cleaner handles canvas, leather and soles well for much less, and a separate suede brush covers delicate shoes. CleanX's advantage is the motor, which matters mainly for people who polish often or have sore hands.

Is CleanX legit, and what should you check before buying?

CleanX is a real product from a named seller, and a brush should arrive if you order. Before buying, ask which heads and batteries come in the box, switch from the five-pack, add the brush set if you polish, and note the card statement name.

Ask what is included

What to do: email support@g63com.com and ask which heads come in the base set, the battery type and run time, and whether it is water resistant. Keep the reply.

Check the selected bundle

The five-pack for $135 is flagged as the best seller in the page code. What to do: change the order to one brush.

Card statement name and memberships

The charge appears as perfectchoicebase.com. Pages on this checkout have also carried text for a "Gadget Discount Club" membership that is free for 30 days and then billed. What to do: read every checkbox and post-payment page.

Refunds and returns

The page code offers a 30-day guarantee for a full refund or replacement, less shipping and handling. The terms we recorded on 4 October 2026 focus on defective goods, which can be returned within two years once you have a returns number, with return postage at your cost.

How to buy CleanX the smart way

  1. Ask support what is in the box.
  2. Open the CleanX order page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab) and select your country.
  3. Change the five-pack to one brush.
  4. Add the full brush set if you polish leather; skip the car adapter.
  5. Note the card statement name, perfectchoicebase.com.

How did we score CleanX?

CleanX scores 3.5 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.6, build durability 0.8, price competitiveness 0.5, usability 1.2 and owner satisfaction 0.4, each out of 2. The rotating brush saves effort and is easy to use. The score falls on "safe on all shoes" wording, polishing heads sold separately, no battery or power details and a price several times a manual kit.

What owners say

We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for CleanX by that name. Owners of similar battery shoe brushes on large retail sites tend to like the quick buffing of leather shoes, and complain about weak motors that stall under pressure, batteries that drain quickly and heads that come loose.

What we did, and did not, do

Nobody on our team has used CleanX. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with Adidas's sneaker care guide, a suede care guide and the pages that rank for CleanX. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.

How to use CleanX without damaging your shoes

Remove laces, brush off dry dirt first, then use a lightly dampened brush with a mild cleaner on soles, canvas and smooth leather, moving slowly and without pressing hard. Wipe off foam with a cloth, air dry away from heat, and keep the spinning brush away from suede and knit uppers.

  1. Remove laces and insoles. Wash them separately.
  2. Brush off dry dirt first. Before adding water.
  3. Damp, not wet. A little cleaner on the brush.
  4. Light pressure. Let the head spin.
  5. Soles and canvas first. Then smooth leather.
  6. Wipe off foam. With a microfibre cloth.
  7. Air dry. Away from radiators.

Polishing leather

Apply polish by hand, let it haze for a few minutes, then buff with the wool head on low.

Cleaning the heads

Rinse bristle heads and let them dry fully. Keep polish pads separate from cleaning brushes.

What else do people ask about electric shoe brushes?

Most questions are about white sneakers, waterproofing and using it on other things. White soles respond well, waterproofing sprays go on after cleaning, and the brush can tackle bags or car trim if the material suits. Browse our household gadget reviews for more.

Will it whiten yellowed soles?

It removes dirt; yellowing from oxidation needs specialist products.

Should I waterproof after cleaning?

A protector spray on clean, dry shoes helps them stay clean longer.

Can I use it on handbags?

On smooth leather with the soft pad, carefully. Test a hidden spot.

Can I use it on car interiors?

On hard plastics and rubber mats, perhaps. Keep it off delicate fabrics.

Frequently asked questions

Does CleanX clean shoes well?

It does what a brush does, with the motor providing the motion. Results depend mostly on the cleaner and technique. The page gives no speed or power figures, so expect help with scrubbing rather than a deep clean.

How much does CleanX cost?

On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one CleanX for $49, two for $69, three (two plus one free) for $98, four for $123 and five (three plus two free) for $135, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. A case cost $4, the full brush set $9 and a 3-year warranty $9.

Is CleanX safe on suede?

The page says it is safe on all kinds of shoes. Suede and nubuck are usually cleaned dry with a suede brush, brushing in one direction. A wet rotating brush can mat or stain the nap, so avoid it on suede.

What heads come with it?

The main photo shows one round bristle brush. The $9 full brush set adds a wool buffer, sponge, microfibre pad and black bristle brush, which you need for polishing leather. Ask support what the base set includes.

What batteries does it use?

The page says it is battery operated and wire-free but does not say which batteries or how long they last. Ask before ordering.

Can it polish leather shoes?

With the buffing pads from the full brush set, yes. Apply polish by hand first, let it dry, then buff with the wool head on a low speed.

Is CleanX legit?

It is a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are polishing heads sold extra, 'all shoes' wording, no battery details, the price and return postage at your cost.
