FX SmartWatch Review: A $99 Rugged-Look Smartwatch With Calls, Weather and a Misspelled Bezel

A chunky outdoor-style smartwatch with Bluetooth calls, health tracking and a claimed 25-day battery. It looks tough, but the bezel reads Waer Resist, and the Amazfit Active 2 costs the same.

Our verdict

Look closely at the bezel before you buy. FX SmartWatch is a chunky, outdoor-style smartwatch with Bluetooth calls, notifications, weather and health tracking, and a claimed battery life of up to 25 days. For people who want a tough look and basic features, it covers the essentials. But its bezel is printed "Waer Resist", the page gives no water rating, GPS, screen type or app name, and the Amazfit Active 2 starts at the same $99 with GPS and reviews behind it. FX SmartWatch scores 3.2 out of 10, held back by missing specs and value.

The short version

  • What it is: a rugged-look smartwatch with calls, notifications and health tracking.
  • Price: $99 for one on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $285 flagged as the best seller.
  • Best trait: a bold outdoor style with call support.
  • Biggest drawback: no water rating or GPS stated, at a branded watch's price.
  • Our score: 3.2 out of 10.

Pros & cons

The pros cover the look and core features. The cons cover the gaps and the quality signals in the photos.

What we like

  • Bold outdoor styling with exposed screws and a chunky bezel
  • Bluetooth calls, notifications and weather, according to the page
  • Works with Android and iPhone
  • A long battery claim of up to 25 days, usage dependent
  • The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number

What we don't

  • The bezel in the product photos is printed Waer Resist, a misspelling
  • No water rating, GPS, screen type, app name or sensor list
  • The aluminium and ABS build is a $7 upgrade, so the standard case material is unclear
  • Wrist health readings are estimates, and no accuracy is stated
  • The Amazfit Active 2 starts at the same price with GPS and a reviewed track record
  • Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works

FX SmartWatch pairs with your phone over Bluetooth through a companion app. It shows notifications, lets you answer calls through its speaker and microphone, displays weather from your phone, and uses an optical sensor on the back to estimate heart rate and track activity. Six watch-face themes change the look. Battery life depends heavily on how much you use calls and the screen.

The watch as shown on the offer page. Image: FX SmartWatch
  1. Charge and install the app

Step 1: Charge the watch, then install the companion app the seller names and pair over Bluetooth.

  2. Set up calls and alerts

Step 2: Allow notifications and connect Bluetooth audio for calls through the watch.

  3. Wear it snugly

Step 3: Wear it a finger's width above the wrist bone for steadier heart rate readings.

The page title calls it a "Multi-Sport Smartwatch", "Heart Rate Monitoring Smartwatch", "Bluetooth Calls Smartwatch", "Notifications Push Smartwatch" and "Reatl-Time Weather Smartwatch". The six bullets promise a premium sport design, health and sport sensors, six themes, real-time weather, "up to 25 days of battery life (usage dependent)" and Android and iOS compatibility.

What the page leaves out

Water rating, GPS, screen type and size, sensor list, app name, charging method and strap size.

The bezel text

The product photos show "SATM" at the top of the bezel, "Waer Resist" at the bottom and "PGD Smart" on the dial. The bezel lettering is printed in capitals; a misspelling on the hardware suggests limited quality control.

Who it's for

FX SmartWatch suits people who want a chunky outdoor look with basic smart features, taking calls on the wrist, and long battery claims. Our GX SmartWatch review covers a dressier round smartwatch from the same checkout.

  • People who want a chunky outdoor look and basic smart features
  • Anyone who wants to take calls from the wrist
  • Buyers who prioritise long battery life over accuracy

The rugged look

Exposed screws and a heavy bezel suit casual and outdoor outfits.

Wrist calls

Handy when your phone is in a bag, within Bluetooth range.

Battery over accuracy

If you want to charge rarely and only need rough activity data.

Who should skip it

Skip FX SmartWatch if you swim or need a water rating, need built-in GPS, rely on health readings for medical decisions, or are comparing value with branded watches.

  • Swimmers and anyone needing a stated water rating
  • Runners and hikers who need built-in GPS
  • People relying on health readings for medical decisions
  • Buyers comparing value with branded smartwatches at the same price

Can you trust FX SmartWatch's health readings and 25-day battery?

Treat both as rough guides. Wrist heart rate sensors estimate pulse from light reflected through the skin; a 2017 study comparing wearables with an ECG found accuracy varied by device and dropped as exercise intensity rose. The page names no sensors or accuracy. Battery claims of "up to 25 days" assume light use; Tech Advisor's six-month test of the Amazfit Active 2 got four to five days with the always-on screen.

Heart rate accuracy

The 2017 study of wearable heart rate monitors found fit, movement and sweat all affect optical readings.

What this means for you: use it for trends, not diagnosis.

Battery reality

Calls, notifications and bright screens drain batteries quickly. Expect far less than 25 days with daily use.

Water

What to do: ask the seller for an IP or ATM rating before showering or swimming with it.

"Exclusive Premium Sport Design"

Premium is hard to square with a misspelled bezel and a case material sold as an upgrade.

Is FX SmartWatch better than the Amazfit Active 2 or other watches from this checkout?

Not against the Amazfit. Tech Advisor lists the Amazfit Active 2 from $99 with a 1.32-inch Amoled screen, five satellite positioning systems, offline maps and claimed battery life of up to 10 days in standard use, and tested it over six months. FX SmartWatch states none of those.

Is FX SmartWatch legit, and what should you check before buying?

FX SmartWatch is a real watch from a named seller, and it should arrive if you order. Before buying, ask for the water rating, GPS, app name and case material, switch from the five-pack and note the card statement name.

Ask for specs

What to do: email support@g63com.com for the water rating, GPS, screen type, app name and standard case material. Keep the reply.

Check the selected bundle

The five-pack for $285 is flagged as the best seller in the page code. What to do: change the order to one watch.

Card statement name and memberships

The charge appears as drone720x.com. Pages on this checkout have also carried text for a "Gadget Discount Club" membership that is free for 30 days and then billed. What to do: read every checkbox and post-payment page.

Refunds and returns

The page code offers a 30-day guarantee for a full refund or replacement, less shipping and handling. The terms we recorded on 4 October 2026 focus on defective goods, which can be returned within two years once you have a returns number, with return postage at your cost.

How to buy FX SmartWatch the smart way

  1. Ask support for specs and the app name.
  2. Open the FX SmartWatch order page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab) and select your country.
  3. Change the five-pack to one watch.
  4. Add the aluminium build if the standard case is plastic; skip the car charger.
  5. Note the card statement name, drone720x.com.

It offers calls, notifications and a bold look. The score falls on a misspelled bezel, no water rating, GPS or app named, a build upgrade sold separately and a branded rival at the same price.

What owners say

We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for FX SmartWatch by that name. Owners of similar rugged budget smartwatches like the look and call feature, and complain about inaccurate step and sleep data, apps with intrusive permissions and batteries far short of the claim.

What we did, and did not, do

Nobody on our team has worn FX SmartWatch. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with Tech Advisor's Amazfit Active 2 review, a wearable heart rate study and the pages that rank for FX SmartWatch. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.

How to use FX SmartWatch for better readings and battery

Charge it fully, install only the app the seller names, and wear it snugly above the wrist bone. Turn off notifications you do not need, lower the screen brightness, and keep it away from water until you know its rating. Use health data for trends over weeks.

  1. Full first charge. Then pair.
  2. Check app permissions. Allow only what features need.
  3. Snug fit. A finger's width above the wrist bone.
  4. Trim notifications. Saves battery.
  5. Lower brightness. Extends days between charges.
  6. Keep it dry. Until the rating is confirmed.
  7. Trends, not diagnosis. For health readings.

Calls

Keep your phone within Bluetooth range and expect a small speaker.

Weather

It pulls weather from your phone; keep location on for the app.

What else do people ask about budget smartwatches?

Most questions are about apps, swimming and contactless payments. Budget watches rely on third-party apps, swimming needs a stated rating, and payments are rare at this level. Browse our wearable reviews for more.

Which app does it use?

The page does not say. Ask before buying.

Can I pay with it?

Contactless payment is not mentioned.

Does it track sleep?

Probably, as most smartwatches do; accuracy is not stated.

Can I change the strap?

The $9 strap add-on suggests yes; ask for the lug width.

Frequently asked questions

How much does FX SmartWatch cost?

On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one FX SmartWatch for $99, two for $144, three (two plus one free) for $192, four for $236 and five (three plus two free) for $285, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. An aluminium and ABS build cost $7, a sport strap $9 and a 3-year warranty $9.

Is FX SmartWatch waterproof?

The page gives no water rating. The bezel in the photos is printed 'Waer Resist', which is not a rating and is misspelled. Do not swim or shower with it unless the seller confirms an IP or ATM rating.

Does FX SmartWatch have GPS?

The page does not mention GPS. Many budget smartwatches use your phone's location instead. Ask the seller before relying on it for runs or hikes.

How accurate are its health readings?

The page lists 'health and sport monitoring sensors' without detail or accuracy figures. A 2017 study found wrist heart rate accuracy varied by device and dropped as exercise intensity rose. Treat readings as rough guides.

How long does the battery really last?

The page says 'up to 25 days of battery life (usage dependent)'. Calls, notifications and always-on screens cut that sharply. Expect much less with daily use.

Is FX SmartWatch better than the Amazfit Active 2?

On published information, no. Tech Advisor lists the Amazfit Active 2 from $99 with an Amoled screen, five satellite positioning systems and offline maps. FX SmartWatch costs the same with none of that stated.

Is FX SmartWatch legit?

It is a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are a misspelled bezel, no water rating, GPS or app named, a build upgrade sold separately and return postage at your cost.

We may earn a commission if you buy through our links.

Prices accurate as of October 6, 2026. Check the seller's checkout for current pricing, promotions and terms.

What we checked: No hands-on use. Claims, product title, feature bullets, photos including the bezel text, US dollar prices, bundles, add-ons and their images, warranty price, seller details and card statement name from the FX SmartWatch offer page our link opens (gadgetxaura.com) and the data in the page's own code on 2026-10-06. The 30-day guarantee text was read in the same page code that day; the fuller refund and returns terms are as recorded from the site's terms page on 2026-10-04. Tech Advisor's Amazfit Active 2 review, the 2017 wearable heart rate accuracy study (via PubMed) and the top-ranking FX SmartWatch pages were read on 2026-10-06.
