Our verdict
Useful for one thing, oversold for the rest. LucidShield is a clear plastic shield that curves over your nose and mouth, so people can see your lips and expressions, which genuinely helps anyone who lip-reads, and it blocks direct splashes. But the page calls it "anti-pollution", "dust free" and "clean breathing", and with open sides and bottom, air simply flows around it. A 2020 Riken simulation found almost all fine droplets escaped plastic shields. LucidShield scores 2.8 out of 10, held back by claims that its design cannot meet.
The short version
- What it is: a reusable clear plastic shield over nose and mouth, hooked over the ears.
- Price: $39 for one on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $99 flagged as the best seller.
- Best trait: keeps your mouth visible for lip-readers while blocking direct splashes.
- Biggest drawback: it does not filter air, despite the pollution and clean breathing claims.
- Our score: 2.8 out of 10.
Pros & cons
A transparent shield has real uses, especially for communication. The pros reflect that. The cons are about what the page implies it can do, which its open design rules out.
What we like
- Transparent, so others can see your mouth and expressions, which helps lip-readers
- Blocks direct splashes towards the nose and mouth
- Easy to wipe clean and reuse
- Light, with hooks over the ears
- The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number
What we don't
- 'Anti-pollution', 'dust free' and 'clean breathing' claims do not fit an open-edged shield
- A 2020 Riken supercomputer simulation found almost all fine aerosol droplets escaped plastic shields
- The CDC did not recommend face shields as a substitute for masks
- Polycarbonate, a sturdier plastic, is a $9 add-on; the standard material is not stated
- $39 for one clear plastic shield is a lot
- Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works
LucidShield is a moulded clear plastic shell that sits a little in front of your nose and mouth, with flexible arms that hook over your ears. It touches your face only at the bridge of the nose and the ears, leaving open gaps around the sides and under the chin. Those gaps are why it feels airy and fogs little: you breathe the room air around the shield, not through it.

Hook it over your ears
Step 1: Place the curved shield over your nose and mouth and hook the soft arms over your ears.
Breathe through the open edges
Step 2: Air flows in and out around the bottom and sides of the shield, which keeps it cool and stops it fogging much.
Wipe and reuse
Step 3: After use, wash it with mild soap and water or wipe it with a suitable cleaner, and let it dry.
The page title calls it a "transparent face shield", an "anti-pollution breathing shield", a "dust free breathing shield", an "anti fog shield", a "clean breathing shield" and a "transparent protection anti-splash face shield". The six bullets promise a comfortable fit, being "easy to wear everywhere and regain freedom", a "high air flow model design", anti-fog materials "even for winter", a lightweight "put and forget" feel and easy cleaning.
What it blocks
A solid barrier in front of the mouth can stop large droplets and splashes travelling straight forward. It does nothing for particles that float around the edges.
What the page leaves out
There is no plastic type for the standard version, no size, weight or test result. The checkout sells a polycarbonate version for $9, implying the standard shield is a different, unnamed plastic.
Who it's for
LucidShield suits people who need others to see their mouth, such as when talking with someone who is deaf or hard of hearing, and jobs that want a light splash guard. It does not suit anyone who needs protection from smoke, dust, pollution or airborne infection. Our HearingAid Max review covers a hearing product from the same checkout.
- People who talk with deaf or hard-of-hearing people who lip-read
- Workers who need a light splash guard over the mouth, such as in food service
- Anyone who wants others to see their expressions in a setting where a shield is accepted
Talking with lip-readers
Seeing lips and expressions matters for many deaf and hard-of-hearing people. A clear shield keeps them visible.
Food service and counters
A light shield can stop accidental splashes from talking over food, where a workplace accepts it.
Teachers and presenters
Expressions help listeners. Where a covering is requested but filtration is not essential, a clear shield keeps your face readable.
Who should skip it
Skip LucidShield if you need protection from smoke, pollution, dust or airborne infection, if you need certified eye and face protection at work, or if you expect it to filter the air you breathe.
- Anyone who needs protection from smoke, pollution, dust or airborne infection
- People who need certified eye and face protection at work
- Buyers expecting the shield to filter the air they breathe
Does a clear mouth shield like LucidShield block pollution or germs?
No for pollution and fine particles, and only partly for larger droplets. Air flows around its open edges, so it filters nothing. A 2020 simulation by Japan's Riken institute on the Fugaku supercomputer found almost all droplets under 5 micrometres escaped plastic shields, along with about half of 50-micrometre droplets. The EPA recommends N95 respirators for smoke.
The Riken simulation
As reported by ZME Science, Riken's team modelled airflow and thousands of particles around plastic face shields. Nearly all fine aerosol droplets escaped, and the team leader advised wearing regular masks instead of shields.
What this means for you: a shield is a splash guard and a visibility aid, not a filter.
"Anti-pollution" and "dust free breathing"
Fine pollution particles and dust travel with the air, and the air goes around the shield. The EPA's wildfire smoke guidance recommends NIOSH-approved N95 or P100 respirators that fit closely with no gaps.
What to do: on smoky or polluted days, use a well-fitting N95.
"Clean breathing shield"
You breathe the same air with or without it. Nothing on the shield cleans that air.
"Anti fog even for winter"
Fogging is less of a problem because the shield is open. That is a side effect of the gaps that also let particles through.
How much does LucidShield cost, and what do the add-ons add?
On 6 October 2026, one LucidShield cost $39, with the five-pack at $99 flagged as the best seller. The checkout offered a polycarbonate version for $9, a touch-less foam soap dispenser for $39, a HandSan Wrist sanitizer bracelet for $19 and a 3-year warranty for $9. For a moulded plastic shield, $39 is high.
LucidShield price and bundles
| Package | Total | Per shield |
|---|---|---|
| 1 LucidShield | $39 | $39.00 |
| 2 LucidShield | $59 | $29.50 |
| 3 (buy 2, get 1 free) | $79 | $26.33 |
| 4 LucidShield | $89 | $22.25 |
| 5 (buy 3, get 2 free), best seller | $99 | $19.80 |
Prices are in US dollars as listed on 6 October 2026. You can check today's packages on the LucidShield order page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab).
Polycarbonate version
For $9, "a stronger material used in premium application, greater longevity safe plastics". Polycarbonate is tough and used for safety glasses, so if you buy, it is the version to choose. The image also shows the open sides and chin clearly.

Soap dispenser and HandSan Wrist
The same two add-ons appear on the CoverSafe Pro checkout: a $39 FOAMatic touch-less foam soap dispenser and the $19 HandSan Wrist bracelet. Neither relates to the shield.

Warranty
The 3-year warranty costs $9 on a plastic shield; skip it.
Who sells it
The order page names G Com Pte Ltd at 137 Market Street in Singapore, with the email support@g63com.com and a phone number. The footer gives the country as Hong Kong. The page code says charges appear on your card statement as drone720x.com.

Is LucidShield better than a clear-window mask or an N95?
For filtration, no: an N95 protects far more. For visibility, a clear-window mask, a fabric or surgical mask with a transparent panel, keeps the mouth visible while sealing the edges. LucidShield's only advantages are that it is airier and fogs less.
| Option | Mouth visible | Filters air | Sealed edges | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LucidShield | Yes | No | No | $39 |
| Clear-window mask | Yes | Partly | Yes | Varies |
| NIOSH-approved N95 | No | Yes, 95% | Yes | Low per mask |
| Full face shield | Yes | No | No | Low |
LucidShield vs an N95
N95s are certified and seal to the face. For smoke, pollution or infection risk, that is where a rival clearly wins.
LucidShield vs a clear-window mask
Masks with a transparent panel were developed for communicating with deaf and hard-of-hearing people. They keep lips visible and seal the edges better.

Is LucidShield legit, and what should you check before buying?
LucidShield is a real product from a named seller, and a shield should arrive if you order. Before buying, be clear that it does not filter air, switch from the five-pack, choose the polycarbonate version, untick the soap dispenser and bracelet, and note the card statement name.
Know what it does
What to do: buy it only for visibility or splash protection. For smoke, pollution or infection risk, buy NIOSH-approved N95s.
Check the selected bundle
The five-pack for $99 is flagged as the best seller in the page code. What to do: change the order to one shield.
Card statement name and memberships
The charge appears as drone720x.com, a name unrelated to the product. Pages on this checkout have also carried text for a "Gadget Discount Club" membership that is free for 30 days and then billed. What to do: read every checkbox and post-payment page, and note the statement name so you recognise the charge.
Refunds and returns
The page code offers a 30-day guarantee for a full refund or replacement, less shipping and handling. The terms we recorded on 4 October 2026 focus on defective goods, which can be returned within two years once you have a returns number, with return postage at your cost. Worn face products may not be returnable for hygiene reasons.

How did we score LucidShield?
LucidShield scores 2.8 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.2, build durability 0.8, price competitiveness 0.4, usability 1.0 and owner satisfaction 0.4, each out of 2. A clear shield keeps the mouth visible and blocks direct splashes. The score falls on anti-pollution, dust free and clean breathing claims that an open-edged shield cannot meet, evidence that fine particles escape shields, unstated material and a high price.
How the score breaks down
We use the five criteria on our how we test page, each out of 2.
| Criterion | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Claim accuracy | 0.2 / 2 | Pollution and clean breathing claims contradict the design |
| Build durability | 0.8 / 2 | Plastic unstated; polycarbonate extra |
| Price competitiveness | 0.4 / 2 | $39 for a moulded shield |
| Usability | 1.0 / 2 | Light, airy, fogs little |
| Owner satisfaction | 0.4 / 2 | No independent ratings for this listing |
| Total | 2.8 / 10 |
What owners say
We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for LucidShield by that name. Owners of similar clear mouth shields on large retail sites tend to like the comfort and visibility, and complain that they scratch easily, slip down the nose, catch the light in photos and feel flimsy.
What we did, and did not, do
Nobody on our team has used LucidShield. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with reporting on the Riken shield simulation, EPA guidance and the pages that rank for LucidShield. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.
How to use LucidShield and keep it clear
Hook it over your ears, adjust it so it sits just clear of your lips, and keep it clean with mild soap and water so it stays transparent. Use it where visibility or splash protection is the goal, and switch to a sealed mask or N95 when you need filtration.
- Wash your hands first. Then handle it by the arms.
- Hook it over your ears. Centre it over nose and mouth.
- Leave a small gap from the lips. So it does not touch.
- Check visibility. Your mouth should be clear to others.
- Avoid touching the front. Adjust by the arms.
- Wash after use. Mild soap, warm water.
- Air dry and store flat. To avoid scratches.
Keeping it scratch-free
Do not wipe it dry with paper towels, which can scratch plastic. Use a microfibre cloth.
Fogging in cold weather
If it mists, let it warm to room temperature, or wash it with a drop of washing-up liquid and let it air dry.

What else do people ask about clear face shields?
Most questions are about children, glasses and full face shields. Children should not wear ill-fitting shields, glasses work well with mouth shields, and full face shields protect the eyes too but share the same open edges. Browse our health gadget reviews for other options.
Can children wear it?
The page lists no child size. A shield that slips can distract or pinch; supervise young children.
Can I wear it with glasses?
Yes. Because it sits below the eyes and is open, glasses rarely fog.
Is a full face shield better?
A full shield also protects the eyes from splashes, but it has the same open edges for airborne particles.
Can I use it with a mask?
Yes. Some people wear a shield over a mask for splash protection, which keeps the filtering job with the mask.
Frequently asked questions
Does LucidShield protect against pollution or dust?
No. Air flows freely around its open edges, so fine particles pass straight by. The EPA recommends NIOSH-approved N95 or P100 respirators for smoke. A shield can only stop larger splashes directly in front.
Do clear mouth shields stop viruses?
Not well. A 2020 simulation by Japan's Riken institute on the Fugaku supercomputer found almost all droplets under 5 micrometres escaped plastic shields, and about half of 50-micrometre droplets. The CDC did not recommend face shields as a substitute for masks.
How much does LucidShield cost?
On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one LucidShield for $39, two for $59, three (two plus one free) for $79, four for $89 and five (three plus two free) for $99, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. A polycarbonate version cost $9 extra and a 3-year warranty $9.
Who is a clear mouth shield good for?
People who need others to see their mouth, such as when talking with someone who lip-reads, and jobs that want a light splash guard. It is a visibility and splash product, not a filter.
Does LucidShield fog up?
The page says it has anti-fog properties. Because air flows around the edges, open shields tend to fog less than sealed covers, though cold weather can still cause some misting.
How do I clean it?
The page says it is easy to clean and reuse. Wash it with mild soap and warm water, rinse and air dry. Avoid harsh solvents, which can cloud some plastics.
Is LucidShield legit?
It is a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are pollution and clean breathing claims that do not fit its design, no material details, a high price and return postage at your cost.
