Glasses with a dial on each side that changes lens power from -6 to +3 for each eye. Handy as spare readers, but no substitute for an eye test, and they cannot correct astigmatism.

Quick answer
Useful as spare glasses you can tune, but not a replacement for an eye test or prescription glasses. ProperFocus has a dial on each side that changes lens power from -6 to +3 for each eye, so you can set them for reading, a screen or across a room.

Our verdict
Useful as spare glasses you can tune, but not a replacement for an eye test or prescription glasses. ProperFocus has a dial on each side that changes lens power from -6 to +3 for each eye, so you can set them for reading, a screen or across a room. That flexibility is genuinely handy in a drawer or car. But "myopia correction" overstates what glasses do, they cannot correct astigmatism, the page gives no exam or driving warnings, and UV protection and a "metallic" frame cost extra. ProperFocus scores 3.9 out of 10, held back by claims and limits.
The short version
- What it is: glasses with a dial on each arm that adjusts lens power, claimed from -6 to +3 dioptres.
- Price: $59 for one pair on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $149 flagged as the best seller.
- Best trait: one pair you can set for different eyes and distances.
- Biggest drawback: no astigmatism correction, a narrower clear zone and claims that sound like treatment.
- Our score: 3.9 out of 10.
Pros & cons
Adjustable glasses are clever and can be handy. The cons are about what they cannot do and how the page describes them.
What we like
- A dial for each eye lets you set a different power on each side
- Wide claimed range, from -6 to +3 dioptres
- Handy as spare glasses for reading menus, labels or DIY
- Polycarbonate lenses resist knocks
- The seller names a registered company with an address, email and phone number
What we don't
- Not a substitute for an eye test; they cannot correct astigmatism
- 'Myopia correction' implies a treatment; glasses only correct vision while worn
- Adjustable lenses like these usually have a smaller clear zone than prescription lenses
- UV400 protection and a 'metallic frame' are add-ons; the frame image shows the same plastic frame
- No guidance on driving, which needs glasses that meet your prescription
- Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works
ProperFocus uses adjustable lenses. Each side has a dial at the hinge. Turning it moves lens elements relative to each other, which changes the lens power, more positive for reading or more negative for distance. You set each eye separately by closing the other eye and turning the dial until the view is sharp. Once set, the glasses are tuned for that distance until you change them.

Put them on and close one eye
Step 1: Wear the glasses, cover or close one eye and look at something at the distance you need, such as a book or a sign.
Turn the dial until it is sharp
Step 2: Turn the dial on that side until the view is clearest. The lens moves to change its power. Repeat with the other eye.
Use them for that task
Step 3: Once set, they are tuned for that distance. Re-adjust when you switch from reading to looking across a room.
The page title lists "adjustable vision focus reading glasses, myopia correction eye glasses, large range correction -6D to +3D, reading glasses, individual eye adjustments, clear reading". The bullets promise instant adjustment for each eye, "precise correction based on real user feedback", easy reading, fingerprint-proof lenses, polycarbonate lenses and easy use. It gives no clear zone size, astigmatism note or eye exam advice.
Dioptres
Lens power is measured in dioptres. Plus powers help focus close up, as in reading glasses. Minus powers help with distance for short-sighted people. A range of -6 to +3 covers many common needs, but not astigmatism, which needs a cylindrical correction.
The clear zone
Adjustable lens designs typically give a smaller central area of sharp vision than a prescription lens. Looking through the edges can be blurry or distorted. You move your head more and your eyes less.
Who it's for
ProperFocus suits people with presbyopia who want one adjustable spare pair for different tasks, or anyone who wants emergency glasses in a bag or car. It suits people who already have regular eye exams and know their needs are simple.
- People with presbyopia who want spare readers for different distances
- Anyone who wants emergency glasses in a car, bag or drawer
- Users who have had an eye test and know their needs are simple
Readers over 40
Presbyopia makes close focus harder from around your mid-40s. Adjustable glasses let you set one pair for a book, another strength for a laptop. Cheap readers in several strengths do the same with a wider clear view.
Emergency spares
If your main glasses break or you forget them, a pair you can tune gets you through. Keep a pair in the car or desk drawer.
DIY and hobbies
Close work such as sewing, model building or electronics needs strong near focus. Adjustable glasses let you dial in more power for close tasks.
Travellers
One pair that adjusts is handy on a trip. Bring your prescription glasses too.
Who should skip it
Skip ProperFocus if you have not had an eye exam recently, have astigmatism, need glasses for driving, or have any sudden vision change, eye pain, flashes or double vision.
- Anyone who has not had an eye exam recently
- People with astigmatism or complex prescriptions
- Drivers looking for glasses to drive in
- Anyone with sudden vision changes, eye pain, flashes or double vision
Can ProperFocus really replace prescription glasses?
No. They can make vision clearer for simple short or long sight while worn, but they cannot correct astigmatism, usually have a smaller clear zone and do not replace an eye exam. All About Vision notes that over-the-counter readers do not suit astigmatism or different strengths in each eye, and that skipping exams can let eye problems go unnoticed. ProperFocus handles different strengths; it does not handle astigmatism.
What All About Vision says
All About Vision's guide to prescription versus over-the-counter reading glasses explains that store readers are not right for people with astigmatism or a different strength in each eye, and that relying on them without an exam can let other eye conditions go undetected.
What this means for you: have an eye exam even if adjustable glasses seem to work.
"Myopia correction"
Glasses correct vision while you wear them. They do not cure or reverse short sight. The title's "myopia correction" means focusing for distance, not treating the eye.
"Precise correction based on real user feedback"
The page does not explain this phrase. You set the power by eye, which is not the same as a measured prescription.
Eye health checks
Eye exams look for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and other conditions that can affect vision without symptoms early on. Glasses you tune yourself do not check any of that.
Warning signs
See an eye doctor promptly for sudden vision changes, eye pain, flashes of light, halos or double vision.
How much do ProperFocus glasses cost, and what do the add-ons add?
On 6 October 2026, one pair of ProperFocus cost $59, with the five-pack at $149 flagged as the best seller. The checkout offered UV400 protected lenses for $7, a metallic frame for $14, a car USB charger for $4 and a 3-year warranty for $9. UV protection is standard on many cheap sunglasses and some readers.
ProperFocus price and bundles
| Package | Total | Per pair |
|---|---|---|
| 1 ProperFocus | $59 | $59.00 |
| 2 ProperFocus | $89 | $44.50 |
| 3 (buy 2, get 1 free) | $109 | $36.33 |
| 4 ProperFocus | $129 | $32.25 |
| 5 (buy 3, get 2 free), best seller | $149 | $29.80 |
Prices are in US dollars as listed on 6 October 2026. Two pairs, one for home and one for the car, is a reasonable buy. You can check today's packages on the ProperFocus order page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab).
The metallic frame
For $14, a "metallic stainless steel frame upgrade" promises more flexibility and durability. The add-on image shows the glasses from above in a black frame that looks the same as the standard one. What to do: ask support what the frame is made of before paying for it.

UV400 lenses
For $7, UV400 lenses block ultraviolet light. Useful if you wear them outdoors; less important for indoor reading.
Car charger and warranty
The $4 car charger is unrelated to glasses. The 3-year warranty costs $9.
The "regular price"
Add-ons are shown against crossed-out prices, with a countdown timer on the page. We found no evidence that ProperFocus sells at a higher regular price. Dial-adjustable glasses of this design are sold under several names.
Who sells it
The order page names G Com Pte Ltd at 137 Market Street in Singapore, with the email support@g63com.com and a phone number. The footer gives the country as Hong Kong. The page code says charges appear on your card statement as drone720x.com.

Are ProperFocus glasses better than readers or prescription glasses?
For reading only, cheap readers in the right strength usually give a wider clear view for less; for everyday vision, prescription glasses fitted after an eye exam are better in every way. ProperFocus sits in between: flexible spares that cost more than readers and do less than prescription glasses.
| Option | Adjustable | Astigmatism | Clear zone | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ProperFocus | Yes, each eye | No | Usually smaller | $59 |
| Drugstore readers | No, fixed strength | No | Wide | Low |
| Prescription glasses | Made to your eyes | Yes | Wide | Higher, often covered by plans |
ProperFocus vs readers
Readers come in fixed strengths, the same in both lenses. If both eyes need the same strength, they are cheaper and clearer. That is the clearest case where a simpler rival wins.
ProperFocus vs prescription glasses
Prescription glasses correct astigmatism, are centred to your eyes and come after an eye exam. Nothing replaces that.

Is ProperFocus legit, and what should you check before buying?
ProperFocus is a real product from a named seller, and a pair should arrive if you order. Before buying, have an eye exam, decide whether you need adjustable spares or simple readers, ask about the frame material, switch from the five-pack and note the card statement name.
Get an eye exam
What to do: book an eye exam if you have not had one recently. It checks your eye health as well as your prescription.
Ask about the frame and UV
What to do: email support@g63com.com and ask what the standard frame is made of and whether the standard lenses block UV. Keep the reply.
Check the selected bundle
The five-pack for $149 is flagged as the best seller in the page code. What to do: change the order to one or two pairs.
Card statement name and memberships
The charge appears as drone720x.com. Pages on this checkout have also carried text for a "Gadget Discount Club" membership that is free for 30 days and then billed. What to do: read every checkbox and post-payment page.
Refunds and returns
The page code offers a 30-day guarantee for a full refund or replacement, less shipping and handling. The terms we recorded on 4 October 2026 focus on defective goods, which can be returned within two years once you have a returns number, with return postage at your cost.

How did we score ProperFocus?
ProperFocus scores 3.9 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.5, build durability 0.9, price competitiveness 0.9, usability 1.1 and owner satisfaction 0.5, each out of 2. The adjustable design is genuinely flexible. The score falls on "myopia correction" wording, no warnings about eye exams, astigmatism or driving, a frame add-on that looks like the standard frame and no independent ratings.
How the score breaks down
We use the five criteria on our how we test page, each out of 2.
| Criterion | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Claim accuracy | 0.5 / 2 | "Myopia correction" and "precise correction" overstate; no limits stated |
| Build durability | 0.9 / 2 | Plastic frame with dials; polycarbonate lenses |
| Price competitiveness | 0.9 / 2 | $59 is more than readers, less than prescription glasses |
| Usability | 1.1 / 2 | Easy to set, but narrow clear zone and re-adjusting |
| Owner satisfaction | 0.5 / 2 | No independent ratings for this listing |
| Total | 3.9 / 10 |
What owners say
We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for ProperFocus by that name. Owners of dial-adjustable glasses on large retail sites like them as spares and for close work, and complain about a small sharp area, distortion at the edges and a chunky look.
What we did, and did not, do
Nobody on our team has used ProperFocus. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with All About Vision's guide to prescription versus over-the-counter readers and the pages that rank for ProperFocus. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.
How to use ProperFocus for the best results
Set each eye separately at the distance you need, look through the centre of the lens, re-adjust when you switch tasks and keep them clean. Use them as spares or for specific jobs, have regular eye exams and use prescription glasses for driving.
- Start at zero. Set both dials to the middle before adjusting.
- One eye at a time. Close or cover the other eye.
- Turn slowly until sharp. Stop at the clearest point.
- Look through the centre. Turn your head rather than your eyes.
- Re-set for new distances. Reading and distance need different settings.
- Clean the lenses gently. Soft cloth, no harsh cleaners.
- Keep up eye exams. At least as often as your eye doctor advises.
For reading
Hold the book at your usual distance and adjust until text is crisp. Good light helps more than extra power.
For screens
Screens sit further away than a book, so you may need less plus power.
If one eye will not focus
Astigmatism or another eye condition may be the reason. See an eye doctor.
Storage
Keep them in a case so the dials do not get knocked.

What else do people ask about adjustable glasses?
Most questions are about whether they damage eyes, whether they suit children and whether they work for astigmatism. They do not damage eyes, they are not for children without an eye doctor's advice, and they cannot correct astigmatism. Eye exams remain essential.
Can wrong glasses damage my eyes?
Wearing the wrong strength can cause eye strain and headaches but does not damage healthy adult eyes. Children's eyes are still developing and need properly prescribed glasses.
Can children use adjustable glasses?
Children should have eye exams and prescribed glasses. Do not use adjustable glasses as a substitute.
Do they work for astigmatism?
No. Astigmatism needs a cylindrical correction that dial glasses do not provide.
Can I wear them over contact lenses?
Some people use readers over contacts for close work. Ask your optometrist.
Frequently asked questions
Do ProperFocus glasses really correct myopia?
They can make distant objects clearer for some short-sighted people while worn, by setting a minus power on the dial. That is not a treatment: glasses do not change the eye. They also cannot correct astigmatism, and adjustable lenses usually have a smaller clear zone than prescription lenses.
How do adjustable glasses work?
A dial on each side moves the lens elements to change their power, so you can focus each eye separately. ProperFocus claims a range of -6 to +3 dioptres. You set them by closing one eye and turning the dial until things look sharp.
How much do ProperFocus glasses cost?
On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one pair for $59, two for $89, three (two plus one free) for $109, four for $129 and five (three plus two free) for $149, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. UV400 lenses cost $7, a metallic frame $14 and a 3-year warranty $9.
Can I drive with ProperFocus glasses?
The page says nothing about driving. Use glasses made to your prescription for driving, and check that your vision meets the legal standard where you live.
Should I get an eye test first?
Yes. An eye exam checks for eye disease as well as your prescription. All About Vision notes that relying on over-the-counter readers without an exam can let other problems go unnoticed, and that store readers do not suit astigmatism or different strengths in each eye.
Are adjustable glasses better than drugstore readers?
They are more flexible, since you can set each eye and change distance. Drugstore readers are simpler, cheaper and usually give a wider clear view. Many people keep a cheap pair of readers in several places.
Is ProperFocus legit?
It is a real product sold by G Com Pte Ltd, which lists a Singapore address, email and phone number. The concerns are the myopia correction wording, no warnings about eye exams or driving, add-ons for UV protection and a frame that looks the same, and return postage at your cost.
