SleepZee Review: Who It Works For and How to Buy It Smart
A $49.95 boil and bite mouthpiece that moves your jaw forward, the same approach dentists use for snoring. It is quick to fit and cheap to try, if you check what the guarantee covers.

Our verdict
Yes, if you have simple snoring and treat it as a final sale. SleepZee uses the same jaw-forward approach dentists use, costs $49.95, and takes minutes to fit at home with no appointment.
For a back sleeper who snores without gasping or daytime tiredness, that is a cheap and reasonable thing to try. It scores 4.7 out of 10 because of three things to know before you order: it cannot be adjusted after moulding, the 30-day guarantee does not cover an opened mouthpiece, and the sales page's medical claims go further than the evidence. Buy one unit, not the preselected three-pack.
The short version
- A boil-and-bite anti-snoring mouthpiece that holds your lower jaw slightly forward to keep the airway open.
- $49.95 for one, less each in multipacks, plus $12.99 shipping, with a storage case in the box.
- Best for simple snorers who want to try a mouthpiece before paying for a dentist-made one.
- Not a sleep apnoea treatment. If you gasp or wake exhausted, see a doctor first.
- Order one unit, follow the moulding steps exactly, and budget for it as a final sale.
Pros & cons
The pros are real: the mechanism works for many simple snorers, and the price and convenience are hard to match. The cons are mostly about the fit and the fine print, and knowing them up front is what makes this a smart purchase rather than a regretted one.
What we like
- Uses mandibular advancement, the same jaw-forward approach dentists use for snoring
- Fits at home in a few minutes with boil-and-bite moulding, with no appointment or prescription
- At $49.95 it costs a fraction of a dentist-made device, and less each in multipacks
- Front breathing vents suit people who breathe through the mouth at night
- Comes with a hinged storage case, so it travels well
What we don't
- The 30-day guarantee covers change-of-mind returns only if the mouthpiece is unused, so treat it as a final sale once moulded
- No step-by-step adjustment: to change the jaw position you re-boil and re-bite it
- Not for sleep apnoea, whatever the sales page implies, and we found no FDA 510(k) listing under the SleepZee name
- Owner feedback is mixed: some report quieter nights, others a bulky fit, and the company has an F rating from the Better Business Bureau
- Checkout preselects a three-pack and shows a countdown timer, so check the quantity before paying

How it works
Mandibular advancement devices have been used for snoring for decades, usually fitted by a dentist. SleepZee brings the same idea home in a boil-and-bite format.
Jaw forward, airway open
Step 1: Most simple snoring is soft tissue at the back of the throat vibrating as the airway narrows during sleep; a mandibular advancement device holds the lower jaw slightly forward, which pulls the tongue base forward and widens that space.
Boil, bite, set
Step 2: You soften the mouthpiece in hot water, bite into it so it takes an impression of your teeth, and let it cool; the set impression is what holds the jaw in the advanced position each night.
No adjustment after moulding
Step 3: Dentist-made and adjustable over-the-counter devices let you increase the advancement in small steps over weeks; SleepZee sets one position at the moulding stage, so comfort depends on that single fit.

Who it's for
SleepZee suits you if your snoring is the simple kind: louder on your back, worse after alcohol or a late meal, with no gasping and no daytime sleepiness. If your partner is the one losing sleep and you want a low-cost first step before a dental appointment, this is the category of product to try. You also need healthy teeth to anchor it and a willingness to get used to something in your mouth for the first few nights.
- People with simple, position-related snoring confirmed by a partner, with no daytime sleepiness
- Anyone who has already used a boil-and-bite device and knows they tolerate one
- Buyers who accept that the purchase is final once the package is opened
Who should skip it
- Anyone who suspects sleep apnoea: loud snoring with pauses, gasping or daytime exhaustion needs a sleep study, not a mouthpiece
- People with loose teeth, gum disease, jaw joint pain or full dentures
- Anyone who would rely on the satisfaction guarantee to return it
Why do people choose SleepZee?
The case for SleepZee is simple: it is the cheapest, fastest way to find out whether a mouthpiece helps your snoring. A dentist-made device costs several hundred dollars and takes appointments. SleepZee arrives in the post, takes a few minutes to mould, and you know within a week or two whether you can sleep with it.
The design covers the basics well. The two trays are moulded as one piece, so there are no straps or hinges to break. Breathing vents at the front mean you are not forced to breathe through your nose, which matters if congestion is part of your snoring. The BPA-free silicone is described as medical grade, and the hinged case keeps it clean on a bedside table or in a wash bag. Cleaning is a rinse and a soft brush with mild soap.
There is also a quieter benefit: partners. Most people buy an anti-snoring device because someone else is losing sleep. If the mouthpiece fits, the change is often noticed by the other person first. Many of the positive owner reports describe exactly that.

What is SleepZee, what does it cost and what's in the box?
SleepZee is an over-the-counter anti-snoring mouthpiece sold direct to consumers through its own web pages and through affiliate sites like this one, not through pharmacies or dentists. You buy it online, mould it at home and wear it at night. It does not need a prescription.
Physically, it is a one-piece, two-tray mouthpiece with breathing vents at the front. Each unit comes with a hinged plastic storage case. The photo below is SleepZee's own.

How to buy SleepZee the smart way
- Open the official SleepZee order page (opens SleepZee in a new tab) and go to checkout.
- Change the quantity to one. The checkout opens with the three-pack selected.
- Ignore the countdown and the "only 96 left" counter; they are standard on this kind of page.
- Check the total before entering card details: $49.95 plus $12.99 shipping is $62.94.
- Keep the order confirmation. If anything arrives damaged or wrong, that is covered by the 30-day policy.
Is it good value? At $62.94 delivered, a single SleepZee costs about the same as other over-the-counter mouthpieces and a fraction of a custom one. If it fits and lasts six months, that is roughly 35 cents a night. Multipacks make sense once you know one unit works for you, for a spare or a partner, and you can always order again.
Does SleepZee actually stop snoring?
For many simple snorers, a mouthpiece like SleepZee helps, because holding the jaw forward keeps the airway open, an approach the American Academy of Sleep Medicine describes as an established treatment for snoring. Fit decides the result. Owners with a good mould tend to report quieter nights within the first week, while others describe a bulky fit, gagging or jaw soreness. The sales page's own success figures come without a method.
The academy's patient page on oral appliance therapy also notes that appliances work best when they fit well, and that excess saliva, dry mouth, jaw discomfort and temporary bite changes are common at first and usually settle. Good results are often confirmed by a partner rather than the wearer. The moulding step matters more than anything else you do, which is why the how-to section below goes through it in detail.
Take the sales page's own figures with some caution. "Stop snoring the first night", "92%" and "97 percent would recommend" come without a method, and the page's own star-rating widget notes that it is "showing our 4 & 5 star reviews". The real-world picture is more mixed than that, which you can read more about below. Across the sleep products we review, SleepZee is the one where getting the fit right matters most. SleepZee is one of three snoring aids in our SleepZee vs Sleep Connection vs Hale comparison.

Is SleepZee legit, and what should you check before buying?
SleepZee is a real product, but read three things first. The 30-day guarantee covers change-of-mind returns only if the mouthpiece is unused and in its original packaging, so treat it as a final sale once moulded. It is not a treatment for sleep apnoea, whatever the sales page implies. We found no FDA 510(k) clearance under the SleepZee name, so ask for the number if it matters.
None of these rule SleepZee out, but each one changes how you should buy it.
The guarantee. The landing page and checkout advertise a "30-Day Money Back Guarantee". The returns page covers damaged, defective or wrong items within 30 days, and change-of-mind returns only if the product is unused, undamaged and in its original packaging. Opened health and personal-care items are excluded, returns need prior approval, and you pay return postage. Because a mouthpiece has to be moulded to be tried, plan on it being a final sale once you open it.
Sleep apnoea. The sales page says SleepZee "alleviates symptoms of mild to moderate sleep apnea". Treat that as marketing. Sleep apnoea needs a diagnosis, and when a mouthpiece is the right treatment it is custom fitted and followed up by a dentist or clinic. If you snore with pauses or gasps, wake with headaches, or are exhausted during the day, see a doctor before buying any mouthpiece. A device that quietens the snoring can hide the symptom that would have sent you for a diagnosis.
FDA status. In the US, snoring mouthpieces are Class II medical devices under 21 CFR 872.5570, and cleared ones have a public 510(k) number. For example, VitalSleep was cleared in 2010 as K092942 for over-the-counter use for snoring. One SleepZee graphic says "FDA-Cleared Technology", but no number is given and we found no listing under the SleepZee name. If clearance matters to you, ask the company for the number before ordering.
What do owners say about SleepZee?
Owner feedback splits into two camps. The positive reports describe a quick fit, a partner who finally sleeps through the night, and a device that is easy to clean and pack for travel. The negative reports focus on fit, a mouthpiece that felt too bulky or hard to mould, and on the refund policy.
The independent ratings lean negative. The Better Business Bureau profile rates SleepZee F, not accredited, with 45 complaints closed in three years. The Trustpilot profile for sleepzee.co shows a TrustScore of 1.2 from 136 reviews. The recurring complaints there are extra units added at checkout, refunds refused for opened mouthpieces, and slow support replies. Two of those three are avoidable if you follow the buying steps above.
SleepZee is sold through several storefront domains, including sleepzee.co, buysleepzee.com and get-sleepzee.com, the page our link opens. Reviews on one profile may not cover orders from another.
Is SleepZee better than an adjustable or dentist-made mouthpiece?
SleepZee wins on price and speed, at $49.95 plus $12.99 shipping, with no appointment. A cleared over-the-counter adjustable device wins if you want to fine-tune the jaw position in small steps over weeks. A dentist-made device is the answer for diagnosed sleep apnoea. If you mostly snore on your back, a pillow that supports side sleeping is also worth trying.
If you want a mouthpiece, compare on three things: whether it adjusts, whether it is cleared, and whether you can return it after trying.
| Option | Adjusts after fitting | Regulatory status | Typical cost | Return after trying? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SleepZee | Re-mould only | No 510(k) found | $49.95 + $12.99 shipping | Unlikely once moulded |
| Cleared over-the-counter adjustable device | Yes, in small steps | 510(k) for snoring | About $60 to $100 | Depends on seller |
| Dentist-made custom device | Yes | Prescribed and fitted | Several hundred dollars | Through your dentist |
| Positional change and pillow | Not applicable | Not a medical device | Price of a pillow | Usually yes |
For back sleepers, a pillow that supports side sleeping is worth trying alongside any mouthpiece, with breathable bedding if overheating and congestion play a part. A sleep supplement will not stop snoring on its own; snoring is mechanical.
How to get the most from SleepZee
Getting the mould right matters more than anything else, so the first three steps are about fitting and the rest about the first weeks of wear.

- Read the moulding instructions before you start and have a bowl of cold water ready; the material sets fast.
- Soften it for exactly the time stated, let it cool for a few seconds, then bite firmly and evenly.
- Push the lower jaw only slightly forward when you bite. More advancement is not better, and too much causes morning jaw ache.
- Wear it for an hour in the evening for the first three days before trying a full night.
- Expect extra saliva and mild jaw tightness for the first week; both usually settle.
- Stop if you get jaw-joint pain, a changed bite that lasts past mid-morning, or loose teeth.
- Rinse under warm water and brush with mild soap after every use, and store it dry in the case.
- Ask your partner. They will notice the difference in snoring before you do.

How did we research this SleepZee review?
Nobody on our team has worn a SleepZee, so this review is based on research, not hands-on use. On 3 October 2026 we read the official sales page, returns policy and checkout, the Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot profiles, the FDA classification for snoring devices, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine's patient guidance and the top-ranking SleepZee reviews. Every score follows our five published criteria.
The five criteria are set out on our how we test page. Beyond the sources above, we also checked a cleared device's 510(k) record for comparison, and the "top-ranking reviews" were the five that ranked highest in search and could be opened.
A hands-on test would add the evidence that most affects the score: how well it fits and whether it stays comfortable.
Frequently asked questions
Does the SleepZee mouthpiece work for snoring?
For many people with simple snoring, a mouthpiece that holds the jaw forward reduces it, and SleepZee uses that approach. Whether it works for you depends mostly on the fit you get when moulding it. There is no published study of this specific product, so treat the sales page's percentages as marketing.
Is SleepZee worth buying?
It is worth trying if you have simple snoring, healthy teeth and $63 you are comfortable spending on a final-sale purchase. It is not worth it if you suspect sleep apnoea, want to fine-tune the jaw position over weeks, or would need to return it after trying, because opened mouthpieces are excluded.
Is SleepZee legit?
It is a real product that ships in a box with a storage case. The concerns are about the selling, not the existence of the product: medical claims without evidence, a review widget that shows only 4 and 5 star reviews, a checkout that preselects three units, and an F rating from the Better Business Bureau.
How much does SleepZee cost?
On 3 October 2026 the official checkout listed one mouthpiece at $49.95, two at $39.95 each, three at $35 each and four at $29.50 each, plus $12.99 shipping. The checkout opens with the three-pack selected, so change the quantity if you only want one. The crossed-out prices are double the sale prices.
What is the SleepZee return policy?
The returns page offers a 30-day refund for damaged, defective or wrong items, and for change of mind only if the product is unused and in its original packaging. Opened health and personal-care items are excluded, returns need prior approval, and you pay return shipping. Plan on a moulded mouthpiece being a final sale.
Can SleepZee treat sleep apnoea?
No over-the-counter mouthpiece should be used to self-treat sleep apnoea, and nothing SleepZee publishes supports its apnoea claim. Sleep apnoea needs a diagnosis, and where a mouthpiece is the right treatment it is custom fitted by a dentist or clinic. If you snore with pauses or wake exhausted, see a doctor first.
How do I fit the SleepZee mouthpiece?
Soften it in hot water for the time stated in the instructions, let it cool for a few seconds, bite down firmly with the lower jaw slightly forward, then set it in cold water. Do not over-advance the jaw. If the first fit feels too large, re-boil it and try again before deciding it does not suit you.
