Our verdict

Yes, if you want a speaker that doubles as patio lighting and you care more about atmosphere than big sound. TikiTunes is a 7-inch Bluetooth speaker shaped like a tiki torch head, with a flickering flame light, an IP65 rating and stereo pairing, from an established Illinois company with a 4.3 Trustpilot score. Battery claims vary, the torch pole costs extra, and the brand store's two-pack is cheaper per speaker. TikiTunes scores 6.4 out of 10, held back by modest sound for the money and inconsistent battery figures.

The short version

  • What it is: a small Bluetooth speaker with a flickering LED flame, shaped like a tiki torch head.
  • Price: $39.99 for one on 4 October 2026, down to about $25 each in the eight-pack.
  • Best trait: the flame light, which makes it a party piece as much as a speaker.
  • Biggest drawback: a small speaker's sound, and battery claims that differ from page to page.
  • Our score: 6.4 out of 10.

Pros & cons

The pros come from the design, the outdoor rating and the maker's track record. The cons are about sound, battery claims, extras sold separately and the return costs.

What we like

  • Flickering flame light creates real atmosphere, with or without music
  • IP65 rated against dust and water jets, so it suits gardens and patios
  • Pair two for stereo sound
  • Simple, large buttons that anyone can use
  • Established maker with a 1-year warranty and a 4.3 Trustpilot score

What we don't

  • Battery quoted as 6+, up to 9 and up to 10 hours on different pages
  • The bamboo-style pole that makes it a 'torch' is sold separately
  • A small speaker: fine for a patio, not for a big party
  • The brand store sells a two-pack for $69.99, less per speaker than buying one here
  • Return shipping is at your cost and not refunded

How it works

TikiTunes is a battery-powered Bluetooth speaker about 4 inches wide and 7 inches tall. The top holds the speaker and a set of large buttons; below it, a black lattice shell surrounds an orange LED that flickers like a flame. You charge it by USB, pair it with a phone or tablet, and play music. The flame works with or without music.

The large buttons on top. Image: Limitless Innovations

The maker, Limitless Innovations, rates it IP65, which means it is sealed against dust and protected against water jets. Two speakers can be paired for stereo. A separate bamboo-style pole and ground stake, sold by the brand, turns it into a garden torch.

  1. Charge it

Step 1: Charge the built-in battery with the supplied USB cable until the indicator shows it is full.

  2. Pair your phone

Step 2: Switch it on and pair it with any Bluetooth phone or tablet. Pair a second TikiTunes for stereo sound if you have one.

  3. Play music and switch on the flame

Step 3: Play music from your phone and press the light button to turn on the flickering flame, which also works without music.

Where it came from

Limitless Innovations launched TikiTunes several years ago, and the CES 2019 badge on the page suggests it was shown at that year's Consumer Electronics Show. It has since been joined by the TikiTunes Pro. The offer page sells the original model.

The flame light

The LED glows warm orange and flickers behind the lattice shell, giving a candle or torch effect without heat or flame. It can run on its own as a mood light, which is a big part of the appeal.

The buttons

The photos show a round control panel on top with power, volume up and down, a light button and a play or pause button, set in large, raised rings. The page says anyone from children to non-technical adults can use them, which fits the simple layout.

What IP65 means

The first digit, 6, means dust-tight. The second, 5, means protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction, such as rain or a splash from a hose. It does not cover being submerged, which needs a 7 or 8 rating.

The speaker

The original TikiTunes has a single speaker facing up through the top. The maker does not list the wattage for the original on the offer page. Its newer TikiTunes Pro is listed as a 10-watt speaker with a 360-degree design, which suggests the original is smaller in output.

Charging

The page says it comes with a USB charger, and a customer quote mentions charging it fully before a long first session. The page does not say how long a full charge takes or which connector it uses. Check the box contents on arrival.

Light brightness

The flame is a mood light, not a work light. It gives a soft glow for a table or path edge, as the night photos show. It will not light a garden well enough to cook or read by.

Light only mode

Because the flame can run without music, it doubles as a battery lantern for atmosphere. Without the speaker running, the battery should last longer, though the page gives no figure for light-only use.

Size

At about 4 by 7 inches, it is small enough to carry in one hand or a bag, as the page photos show. Small speakers have limited bass, so expect pleasant background music rather than room-filling sound.

The shell

The lattice shell around the light is black plastic, according to the photos, with a silver band below the speaker. It is designed to look like the woven head of a bamboo torch. Plastic keeps it light, though it may show scuffs after outdoor use.

Colours

The offer page shows only black. The brand store sells the Pro in black, forest green and graphite. If colour matters, the Pro offers more choice.

Stereo pairing

Pairing two speakers gives left and right channels, which spreads sound across a patio. Customers on the page mention buying several for family members and syncing them.

Bluetooth basics

It works with any Bluetooth phone or tablet, Apple or Android, according to the page. The page does not give a Bluetooth version. Older Bluetooth versions can have shorter range and less stable links, but work fine for casual listening.

Weight

The page calls it lightweight and portable, without a figure. The photos show it held easily in one hand. It is light enough to carry from the house to the garden with a drink in the other hand.

What is in the box

The page mentions a USB charger, and owners describe the speaker and charging cable. It does not list a manual or carry strap, and the pole and ground stake are not part of the offer. Check the contents when it arrives so you can report anything missing within 30 days.

The award

The page describes TikiTunes as award-winning and shows an I&T Today "Editor's Choice, Best of CES 2019" badge. That is a trade-show award, not an independent sound test.

Who it's for

TikiTunes suits people who want background music and mood lighting on a patio, deck, balcony or campsite, gift buyers, and hosts who like matching speakers dotted around a garden. It does not suit people who want loud, bass-heavy sound for large parties, anyone needing a pool-proof speaker, or listeners who judge speakers mainly by sound quality per dollar.

  • People who want background music and mood lighting on a patio, deck or campsite
  • Gift buyers looking for a fun, affordable outdoor gadget
  • Hosts who like matching sets around a garden

Why TikiTunes appeals

Most Bluetooth speakers are black boxes. TikiTunes looks like a small tiki torch and glows, so it adds to the setting rather than hiding in a corner. Customers on the page say it gets comments from guests, which is exactly the point.

Why a fake flame is useful

Real tiki torches and candles bring smoke, smell, fire risk and refuelling. An LED flame gives the look without any of that, which matters around children, pets, wooden decks and dry summer gardens.

What the photos show

The page photos show TikiTunes on a beach, a camping table, a garden bench next to a fire pit, a kitchen counter and a patio at night. Together they show how it is meant to be used: anywhere you want a little music and a warm glow.

Patio and garden evenings

Placed on a table or on its optional pole, it gives soft music and a warm glow without the risk of a real flame near children, pets or dry plants. That is its natural home.

Families with young children

A real tiki torch is a fire risk around small children. An LED version gives the same look safely. Keep it out of reach of toddlers anyway, as with any battery device.

Hosts who like a theme

Luau, beach or summer parties suit the tiki look. Several speakers on poles around a garden, with matching lights, create a theme with little effort.

Couples on a balcony

Two speakers paired for stereo on a small balcony give a cosy setup for evenings outside, with music and a warm glow but no candles to blow out.

Campers

The page photos show it on a camping table. A rechargeable, weather-resistant speaker with a light is handy at a campsite, though battery life limits use over several nights without charging.

Balcony and small spaces

On a city balcony, open flames are often banned and space is tight. A small, safe light and speaker fits on a side table and adds atmosphere without disturbing neighbours at moderate volume.

Beach days

The page shows it on a beach. Dust-tight sealing helps with sand. Keep it away from the waves, since IP65 does not cover immersion, and rinse off salt spray carefully.

Gift buyers

At $39.99, it is a popular gift, and customers on the page describe buying several for family. It suits parents, grandparents and anyone with a garden.

Weddings and events

Several TikiTunes dotted along tables at an outdoor party give matching lights and music. Pairing works for two speakers, so the rest would act as lights or play separately. The Pro is designed to link many more.

Fire pit evenings

The page photos show it next to a fire pit on a garden bench. It adds music without competing with the fire for attention. Keep it a safe distance from heat, as electronics and plastics do not like high temperatures.

Garden parties with children

Children enjoy the glowing torch look, and with no real flame there is no burn risk. The simple buttons let older children run the music, within reason.

Indoor use

The flame effect works indoors too, as a lamp-like accent on a shelf or table, with or without music.

People with pets

Dogs and cats may knock over a speaker on a low table, and chew on cables. The pole and ground stake keep it higher up in the garden.

Holiday homes and rentals

Owners of holiday rentals sometimes add touches like this to patios. A simple speaker with big buttons suits guests, though it may walk off with them.

Restaurant and café patios

Small venues sometimes use LED candles on outdoor tables. A few TikiTunes could do the same with background music, though commercial use would wear batteries faster and a proper sound system suits larger spaces.

Older relatives

Large, clear buttons and simple Bluetooth pairing suit people who find complicated gadgets frustrating. Pair it with their phone once, and it should reconnect next time, as most Bluetooth speakers do.

Who should skip it

Skip TikiTunes if you want loud music with deep bass for a big gathering; a larger speaker will do better. Skip it if you want a speaker for the pool, since IP65 does not cover immersion. And skip it if sound quality matters more than looks.

  • Anyone who wants loud, deep bass for big parties
  • Buyers who want a waterproof speaker for the pool, since IP65 is not submersible
  • Audio fans who care most about sound quality per dollar

How long does TikiTunes play, and how does it sound?

Expect roughly 6 to 9 hours of music and pleasant, small-speaker sound. The offer page headlines up to 10 hours but also says 6+ hours with many customers reporting 10+, and the brand's own store says up to 9 hours. Volume and the flame light both affect battery life. The page calls the bass surprisingly punchy, but a 4-inch speaker cannot match larger models.

Three battery figures

The headline says "up to 10 hours of music". The features section says it "plays continuously for 6+ hours", with many customers reporting 10+. The Limitless Innovations store says "up to 9 hours". The realistic range is somewhere in between, depending on use.

Why battery figures differ

Battery tests depend on volume, the type of music, temperature and whether lights are on. A maker might quote a best case at low volume with the light off. Different pages written at different times can also carry different numbers. None of these figures come with test conditions.

What drains the battery

Higher volume and running the flame light both use more power. Playing quietly with the light on, as many people will at night, may give different results from loud music with the light off.

Battery ageing

Lithium batteries lose capacity over the years, especially if left fully charged or fully empty for long periods. A speaker that plays nine hours when new may play noticeably less after a few summers. The page does not say whether the battery can be replaced.

Sound quality

The page promises punchy bass and a powerful midrange. Small speakers of this size usually sound clear at moderate volume, with limited deep bass. That suits background music on a patio, not dancing.

The flame light after dark. Image: Limitless Innovations

Placement and sound

Small speakers sound fuller near a wall or on a table than in open space, because surfaces reflect bass. On a pole in the middle of a lawn, sound will be thinner. Placing it near seating gives the best result at modest volume.

Stereo pairs

Two speakers give a wider sound than one, which helps on a large patio. Place them a few feet apart, angled towards where people sit.

Music and the flame together

The flame flickers on its own pattern rather than pulsing with the music, judging by the page's description of it working with or without music. That keeps it calm rather than disco-like, which suits relaxed evenings.

Volume and neighbours

Small outdoor speakers carry further at night when things are quiet. Keep volume moderate late in the evening, which also helps the battery last.

Range

The page does not list Bluetooth range. Most Bluetooth speakers work reliably within about 30 feet without walls in between. Keep your phone reasonably close.

Volume

The page does not quote a volume level. A small speaker suits conversation-level background music for a group around a table. For a crowd or for dancing, choose a larger speaker.

Phone calls and voice assistants

The offer page does not mention a microphone, speakerphone or voice assistant support. Treat it as a music speaker only.

Connection drops

Bluetooth links can drop if your phone goes indoors, into a pocket behind your body or out of range. Keep the phone near the speaker, or leave it on the table, for steady playback.

Sound indoors

Indoors, small speakers usually sound fuller, because walls reflect sound. On a shelf or kitchen counter, TikiTunes should be fine for background music while cooking.

The flame without music

Many owners will use the light far more than the speaker. A customer on the page highlights that the flickering flame works without music, which suits quiet evenings.

What owners say

Customer quotes on the page mention 8 to 9 hours of play on a first full charge, good sound and an easy setup. The brand's Trustpilot page covers all its products, not just TikiTunes.

What this means for you: plan on about an evening's play per charge, and charge it before each gathering.

How much does TikiTunes cost, and where is it cheaper?

On 4 October 2026, the offer page listed one TikiTunes for $39.99, three for $99.98, five for $149.97 and eight for $199.96, with free shipping on bundles. The brand's own store listed the same speaker at $39.99, a two-pack at $69.99 and a speaker-and-pole bundle at $49.99 on 5 October 2026. For one or two speakers, the brand store is as cheap or cheaper.

Compared with buying one at a time

Buying three speakers here at $99.98 costs about $33.33 each with free shipping. The brand store's two-pack at $69.99 is about $35 each. For three or more, the offer page's bundles are cheaper; for one or two, the brand store is as good or better.

Price history

The offer page and the brand store both showed $39.99 for one speaker. The crossed-out "retail" price of $49.99 on the offer page is higher than the brand store's own price, so the "save $10" label does not reflect a real discount there.

Bundles of eight

The eight-pack works out at about $25 per speaker, the lowest price per unit anywhere we looked. It suits large gardens, events or group gifts. For most homes, two or three are plenty.

The pole is extra

The offer page says TikiTunes looks like a tiki torch, but the bundles shown do not include the bamboo-style pole and ground stake. If you want the torch look in the garden, the brand store's speaker-and-pole bundle at $49.99 is better value than buying a speaker here and a pole separately.

Is it good value?

For $39.99 you get a speaker and a decorative light in one, from a maker with a warranty. A mainstream speaker and a set of solar lights might cost a similar amount combined. For people who want both in one object, the price is fair.

The return policy

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in original packaging and free from damage. You pay return shipping, which is not refunded, and refunds are for the purchase price less shipping and handling. Refunds are issued within one to three business days of the return arriving, according to the policy.

What "free from damage" means

Returns must be undamaged and in the original packaging. Scratches from outdoor use could affect a return. If you plan to test it outside, be careful in the first weeks.

Approval and instructions

The policy asks you to contact support with your order number for return instructions before sending anything back. Use the Crystal Lake, Illinois address only once you have instructions.

The warranty

Limitless Innovations offers a 1-year limited warranty for defects, with replacement as the remedy. Contact support at (855) 843-4828 or Support@LimitlessInnovations.com.

Shipping

The FAQ says orders ship within 24 to 48 hours and arrive in three to five business days in the US on average. The single speaker adds shipping; bundles ship free.

Taxes and international orders

The page sells in US dollars. Buyers outside the US may face import charges, and return shipping from abroad could cost more than the speaker. For international buyers, local retailers may be simpler.

Who sells it

Limitless Innovations, based in Crystal Lake, Illinois, makes TikiTunes and other consumer electronics, and sells them through its own store and retailers.

Is TikiTunes better than the TikiTunes Pro or an ordinary Bluetooth speaker?

For pure sound per dollar, an ordinary speaker wins; for atmosphere, TikiTunes wins. The TikiTunes Pro, at $49.99 in the brand store, is listed as a 10-watt speaker with 360-degree sound and multi-speaker linking, which looks like the better buy for $10 more. Ordinary Bluetooth speakers at similar prices usually sound fuller but add nothing to the setting.

TikiTunes vs TikiTunes Pro

The Pro is newer, listed at 10 watts with a 360-degree speaker, and can link up to 100 speakers, according to the brand store. For $10 more, it is likely the better buy if you want more sound. The offer page sells only the original.

Two TikiTunes speakers on grass next to a phone playing music
Two speakers paired for stereo. Image: Limitless Innovations

What the Pro adds

According to the brand store, the Pro has a 10-watt speaker, sound projected in every direction and the ability to connect up to 100 speakers. It comes in black, forest green and graphite. A two-pack with poles was $149.99. Those features make it the better choice for larger gardens.

TikiTunes vs an ordinary Bluetooth speaker

Mainstream speakers around $40 often have IPX7 ratings, meaning they survive brief immersion, and fuller sound. They do not light up. If you only want music, buy one of those.

Where TikiTunes wins

No ordinary speaker gives you a flickering flame. For a patio, deck or campsite at night, TikiTunes adds atmosphere that a black box cannot. It is also simple enough for anyone to use.

Where it loses

A mainstream speaker at the same price usually offers fuller sound, a submersion rating and an app. If the light does not matter, those are the better buy.

Battery compared

Mainstream speakers at this price often quote 10 to 20 hours. TikiTunes' 6 to 9 hours is on the shorter side, partly because the light uses power. For an evening, it is enough.

TikiTunes vs the Anything Speaker

Our Anything Speaker review covers a pocket speaker that turns tables and boxes into speakers. It is a novelty of a different kind, with no light, and suits indoor tricks more than garden evenings.

TikiTunes vs a smart speaker

Indoor smart speakers have voice assistants and better sound, but are not weather-resistant or battery-powered. TikiTunes is for outdoors and portability; a smart speaker is for the kitchen.

Mixing TikiTunes and the Pro

The original pairs with one other original for stereo. The brand store describes the Pro's linking separately, and does not say the two models link together. If you want many linked speakers, buy all Pros.

TikiTunes vs battery LED candles

LED candles give a similar flicker indoors for very little money, but no music and no weather resistance. TikiTunes combines both, at a higher price.

TikiTunes vs solar torch lights

Solar tiki-style lights give a flicker effect for the garden without batteries to charge, but no music. If you only want the light, they are cheaper for several.

TikiTunes vs a lantern speaker

Lantern-style Bluetooth speakers with built-in lights are widely sold for camping. Some offer brighter, adjustable white light that is more useful for seeing. TikiTunes' light is decorative rather than practical.

Choose TikiTunes if

You want a decorative light and music in one, for evenings outdoors with friends. Choose the Pro for more sound, a mainstream speaker for sound alone, or solar torches for light alone.

TikiTunes vs a party speaker

Large party speakers with lights and big bass cost far more and need mains power or a big battery. They suit loud gatherings. TikiTunes is for relaxed evenings, not parties that run past midnight.

Is TikiTunes legit, and what should you check before buying?

Yes. TikiTunes is a genuine product from Limitless Innovations, an established Illinois company. On 5 October 2026, its Trustpilot page showed 4.3 from 248 reviews, with 72% five-star and 14% one-star, across all its products. Before buying, compare the offer with the brand store, decide whether you want the pole or the Pro, and keep the packaging in case you return it.

Who the company is

Limitless Innovations sells chargers, power banks and lifestyle gadgets as well as TikiTunes, through its own store and retailers. A company with a broad range and a long history is more likely to honour its warranty than a short-lived store.

The Trustpilot picture

The Limitless Innovations Trustpilot page is a claimed profile with a paid subscription. Most reviews are positive. Paid subscriptions give companies tools to invite reviews, which can lift scores, so treat the figure as a guide.

What owners praise and criticise

Positive reviews of the maker mention fast shipping, fun designs and helpful support. Negative reviews of electronics like this commonly mention batteries that stop holding charge or units that stop working after the warranty. The 1-year warranty covers the first year.

Compare with the brand store

What to do: if you want one or two speakers, or the pole, check the brand store first. For five or eight, the offer page's bundles are cheaper per speaker.

Check what is in the box

Make sure the charging cable is included and check the connector type. If you buy a bundle, check each speaker works before the 30-day window closes.

Buying for several people

The bundles suit buyers who want gifts for several family members. Check each one works when it arrives, since returns are judged within 30 days of delivery and you pay the postage back.

Keep the packaging

Returns must be in the original packaging and undamaged. Keep the box until you are sure.

Pair before guests arrive

Pair your phone and test the volume before people arrive. Fiddling with Bluetooth in front of guests is the most common speaker frustration.

Protect it from heat

Do not leave it in direct midday sun on a hot table or near a grill. Heat shortens battery life and can warp plastic.

Weatherproofing habits

Even with IP65, bring it in during heavy storms and over winter. Water jets are tested for short periods, not days of rain or snow on the battery compartment.

Charge before parties

Charge it fully before each gathering, so the battery lasts the evening.

Mind the countdown

The pricing section says "now on sale for a limited time". The single-speaker price matched the brand store's own price when we checked, so there is no need to rush.

Trustpilot details

Trustpilot showed 7% four-star, 4% three-star and 3% two-star reviews alongside the 72% five-star and 14% one-star. The profile was claimed in July 2019.

How to buy TikiTunes the smart way

  1. Decide how many speakers you need, then open the TikiTunes order page (opens Limitless Innovations in a new tab).
  2. Compare with the brand store for one, two or the pole bundle.
  3. Consider the Pro if sound matters more.
  4. Check the shipping cost on a single speaker.
  5. Keep the box for the 30-day return window.

How did we score TikiTunes?

TikiTunes scores 6.4 out of 10: claim accuracy 1.2, build durability 1.2, price competitiveness 1.0, usability 1.6 and owner satisfaction 1.4, each out of 2. It earns usability and owner satisfaction points for a simple design and a well-rated maker. Points come off for battery figures that vary between pages, modest sound for the price, a torch pole sold separately and return shipping at your cost.

How the score breaks down

We use the five criteria on our how we test page, each out of 2.

What would raise the score

A single, clearly tested battery figure, a published wattage for the original, the pole included in bundles, and refunded return shipping for faulty units would all raise the score.

What we did, and did not, do

Nobody on our team has used TikiTunes. We read the offer page and policy on 4 October 2026, and the brand store and Trustpilot on 5 October 2026. Our audio hub lists other speakers and earbuds we have reviewed, including the SoundPro Sport review.

How to use TikiTunes for the best results

Charge it fully before use, pair it with your phone, place it on a stable surface or its optional pole near where people sit, and keep volume moderate for longer battery life. Pair two for stereo across a patio, bring it in when not in use, and keep it away from pools and standing water.

  1. Charge it fully. Before each event.
  2. Pair your phone. Keep it within easy Bluetooth range.
  3. Place it centrally. Near seating, on a stable surface.
  4. Use moderate volume. Clearer sound and longer battery.
  5. Pair two for stereo. Space them a few feet apart.
  6. Use the flame alone. As a mood light after the music.
  7. Bring it in. Store it dry when not in use.

Using the pole

If you buy the pole and ground stake, push the stake firmly into soft ground away from paths, mount the speaker on top, and remove it in strong wind. A falling speaker could be damaged.

Rain

IP65 covers rain and splashes. Close any port covers, wipe it dry afterwards and let it dry before charging.

Cleaning

Wipe the shell with a damp cloth and dry it. Brush out sand or leaves from the lattice. Do not use solvents on the plastic.

Charging safely

Charge it indoors on a hard surface with a standard USB charger. Avoid leaving it charging unattended for days at a time.

Battery care

Avoid running the battery completely flat often. Topping up after each use keeps lithium batteries healthier.

Winter storage

Store it indoors over winter and charge it every few months, since lithium batteries prefer not to sit empty for long periods.

Placing it at night

Put it where its glow helps people see steps or table edges, but not where someone could knock it off. A stable table or the pole works best, away from walkways and children running about.

When it stops pairing

Turn Bluetooth off and on on your phone, forget the device and pair again. If two speakers will not link for stereo, reset both following the instructions in the box.
