ActivBeat 2.0 Review: Noise-Cancelling Headphones Sold on a Standby Number

Over-ear ANC headphones with 57mm drivers, leather-look cushions and USB-C charging. They look smart, but the page gives standby time instead of playtime, and the case carries another brand's name.

Budget over-ear ANC headphones

Quick answer

It depends on how much you value the look, because the specs that matter are missing. ActivBeat 2.0 are over-ear noise-cancelling headphones with large 57mm drivers, USB-C charging and smart silver and tan styling, and they should work fine for a commute.

Our verdict

It depends on how much you value the look, because the specs that matter are missing. ActivBeat 2.0 are over-ear noise-cancelling headphones with large 57mm drivers, USB-C charging and smart silver and tan styling, and they should work fine for a commute. But the page gives 650 hours of standby instead of playtime, no measure of the noise cancelling and no Bluetooth version, and the case add-on image carries the Bluedio name. Soundcore's Life Q30 lists 40 hours with ANC and usually costs less. ActivBeat 2.0 scores 4.0 out of 10, held back by missing specs and price.

The short version

  • What it is: over-ear Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation, 57mm drivers and USB-C charging.
  • Price: $99 for one pair on 6 October 2026, with a five-pack for $297 flagged as the best seller.
  • Best trait: a stylish over-ear design with big drivers and noise cancelling at a moderate price.
  • Biggest drawback: no playback time, no ANC figure and no codec list, against rivals that publish all three.
  • Our score: 4.0 out of 10.

Pros & cons

ActivBeat 2.0 has the right ingredients for budget ANC headphones: over-ear cups, big drivers, noise cancelling and USB-C. The cons come from what the page leaves out, which happens to be exactly what separates good budget headphones from forgettable ones.

What we like

  • Over-ear design with active noise cancellation for planes, trains and open offices
  • Large 57mm drivers, bigger than the 40mm common in budget headphones
  • USB-C charging, so one cable can charge your phone and headphones
  • Silver and tan styling that looks smarter than most budget headphones
  • Folding hinges and an optional hard case for travel

What we don't

  • The page gives 650 hours of standby but no playback time with or without ANC
  • No figure for how much noise the ANC removes, and no Bluetooth version or codec listed
  • Soundcore's Life Q30 lists 40 hours with ANC on and usually sells for less
  • The case add-on image is printed with another brand, Bluedio
  • Genuine leather cushions are a $9 add-on, so the standard cushions are likely synthetic
  • Return postage to an overseas seller is yours to pay

How it works

ActivBeat 2.0 are wireless over-ear headphones. Your phone streams audio over Bluetooth to a receiver in the ear cups, and a 57mm driver in each cup turns it into sound. Active noise cancellation uses small microphones on the cups to pick up steady outside noise, then plays an inverted version of it so the two partly cancel out. Leather-look cushions seal around your ears, which blocks higher-pitched sound passively.

ActivBeat 2.0 headphones from the side, showing a polished silver ear cup, metal hinge and tan padded headband
The headphones as shown on the offer page. Image: ActivBeat
  1. Charge and pair

Step 1: Charge the headphones over USB-C, then hold the power button until they enter pairing mode and select them in your phone's Bluetooth menu.

  2. Switch on noise cancelling

Step 2: A switch or button on the ear cup turns on active noise cancellation, which uses microphones to pick up steady background noise and play an opposite signal to reduce it.

  3. Listen, take calls and fold away

Step 3: Buttons on the cup control volume, tracks and calls. When you are done, fold the cups flat and store them in a case.

The page title calls them "ANC Bluetooth everyday headphones" with "oval over-ear" cups, "leather cushions", "rich bass and high fidelity" and "57mm drivers". The six bullets list active noise cancellation, immersive surrounding stereo sound, high-end bass from 57mm speakers, a "no sweating, breathing design", 650 hours of smart standby and a USB-C charging port. There is no playback time, ANC depth, Bluetooth version, codec, weight, microphone detail or app.

A familiar design

The headphones in the photos have polished silver cups, exposed metal sliders and a tan headband and cushions. The carrying case add-on image shows a hard case printed with "Bluedio", a headphone brand, with matching tan and silver headphones inside. The offer page does not mention Bluedio or say who makes ActivBeat 2.0. It appears to be another brand's design sold under a new name, which means the same headphones may be available elsewhere.

What 57mm drivers do

Driver size is the diameter of the speaker in each cup. Larger drivers can move more air, which can help bass. Most budget over-ear headphones use 40mm drivers, so 57mm is genuinely large. Size is no guarantee of quality, though: tuning, materials and the seal around your ears matter as much.

Who it's for

ActivBeat 2.0 suits a commuter or office worker who wants over-ear noise cancelling at a moderate price and likes the silver and tan look more than the plain black of most rivals. If you fly often or care about battery and codecs, a rival that publishes its specs is a safer choice.

  • Commuters who want budget noise cancelling for trains and buses
  • Office workers who like the look of silver and tan headphones
  • Buyers who prefer big over-ear cups to earbuds for long listening

Commuters

Bus and train noise is mostly low rumble, which is what ANC handles best. A pair of ANC headphones can make a daily commute calmer and let you listen at a lower volume. The trade-off with over-ear headphones is size: they take up space in a bag unless you use the folding hinges and a case.

Open-plan offices

Air conditioning, printers and distant chatter are a mix of steady and irregular sounds. ANC reduces the steady hum, and the cushions take the edge off voices. For calls, the microphone matters, and the page says nothing about it.

Students

Libraries and shared houses are easier with headphones that block noise. A wired backup option helps when the battery runs low; check whether the box includes a 3.5mm cable, as the page does not say.

Style-conscious buyers

The silver and tan design looks more like premium headphones than most budget pairs. If appearance is a big part of the decision, that counts for something. Light-coloured cushions do show dirt, so expect to clean them.

Gamers

Bluetooth headphones add a small delay between picture and sound, which matters in fast games. The page lists no low-latency mode. For gaming, a wired headset or one with a dedicated wireless dongle is a better fit.

Gym users

Over-ear headphones get hot and sweaty in a gym, and synthetic leather cushions absorb sweat and wear faster. The "no sweating" claim is not backed by any material detail. Earbuds with a water rating are a better choice for workouts.

Who should skip it

Skip ActivBeat 2.0 if you fly often, need a known battery life, want an app with EQ and multipoint, or prefer to buy from a brand that publishes full specs.

  • Frequent flyers who need strong, tested noise cancelling and a stated battery life
  • Anyone who wants an app with EQ, multipoint or high-quality codecs
  • Buyers who would rather pay less for a known brand with published specs

How long do ActivBeat 2.0 last on a charge?

The page does not say: its only battery figure is "650 hours smart standby", which is idle time, not listening time. Standby is how long the headphones stay charged while switched on but not playing. Playback time, with and without ANC, is the number that matters, and it is missing. Rivals publish it: Soundcore's Life Q30 lists 40 hours with ANC on and 60 with it off.

Standby versus playtime

A pair of headphones sitting idle draws very little power, so standby figures run into hundreds of hours. Once you play music and switch on noise cancelling, power use rises sharply. A headline standby number sounds impressive and tells you nothing about how many commutes you will get between charges.

What to do: ask support for the playback time with ANC on and off before you buy, and keep the reply.

How ANC affects battery

Noise cancelling runs microphones and a processor continuously, which typically cuts battery life noticeably compared with listening without it. That is why good rivals list two figures. If you plan to use ANC all the time, use the ANC figure.

Charging

USB-C is the current standard for phones and laptops, so one cable and charger can serve everything. The page does not give a charging time or say whether a quick charge gives a few hours of play, which many rivals do.

Using them wired

Many Bluetooth headphones include a 3.5mm cable so you can keep listening when the battery is flat, sometimes with ANC off. The page does not say whether a cable comes in the box or whether the headphones have a 3.5mm socket. For long flights and older in-flight entertainment systems, that matters.

Auto power-off

Headphones with a long standby time usually switch themselves off after a period without a connection, which saves battery if you forget them. The page does not mention auto power-off. If yours do not have it, switch them off after each use.

Battery life over the years

Headphone batteries lose capacity with each charge cycle. After a couple of years of daily use, expect less playtime than when new. Sealed headphones rarely have replaceable batteries, so battery wear is often what ends their life.

Is ActivBeat 2.0's noise cancelling any good?

There is no measurement or test on the page, so we cannot say how much noise it removes. Budget ANC usually reduces steady low-frequency sound, such as engine drone, train rumble and air conditioning, and does much less for voices and sudden noises. Without a figure, ActivBeat 2.0's ANC could be modest or decent. The sponsored pages that praise it cite no measurements.

What ANC can and cannot do

Active noise cancelling works best on predictable, continuous sounds that the microphones can sample and cancel. Voices change too quickly to cancel fully, so they remain audible, just quieter. Sharp sounds such as a door slam or a baby crying cut through. The seal of the cushions does most of the work on higher-pitched noise.

Feed-forward, feedback and hybrid

Better ANC headphones use microphones both outside and inside the cups, called hybrid ANC, to catch more noise. Soundcore's Life Q30 is sold as hybrid. The ActivBeat page does not say which type it uses, which makes comparison harder.

Pressure and comfort

Some people feel a slight pressure or "eardrum suck" with ANC switched on. It varies between people and headphones. If you are sensitive to it, you can usually switch ANC off and rely on the passive seal.

Sound quality and tuning

"Rich bass and high fidelity" is how the title describes the sound. Budget headphones are often tuned with heavy bass, which suits pop and hip-hop and can muddy vocals and acoustic music. Without an app or EQ, you cannot adjust the balance on the headphones themselves. Your phone's music app may have an equaliser you can use instead.

Codecs and what they mean

Bluetooth sends compressed audio using a codec. SBC is the basic one every device supports. AAC is common on iPhones; aptX and LDAC are found on many Android phones. Higher-quality codecs sound slightly better and can reduce delay. The page lists none, so assume SBC.

Multipoint

Some headphones connect to a phone and a laptop at the same time and switch between them automatically. That is useful if you work and take calls on different devices. The page does not mention multipoint, so expect to re-pair when you switch.

Calls and the microphone

The page lists no call features at all. Most Bluetooth headphones have a microphone for calls, but quality varies widely, and budget pairs often pick up wind and background noise. If you take many calls, ask support whether there is a microphone and how it performs.

What sponsored reviews say

The pages that rank for ActivBeat 2.0 are press releases and affiliate articles quoting a 4.2-star average, Bluetooth 4.2 and praise for battery and comfort, with sources listed as review sites and social media but no links. We have not counted those figures, since we could not verify them.

"No sweating, breathing design"

Leather-look and synthetic leather cushions trap heat. Some fabric or perforated cushions breathe better. The page's claim of a breathing design comes with no description of the material, and the add-on for genuine leather suggests the standard cushions are not real leather.

How much do ActivBeat 2.0 cost, and are the add-ons worth it?

On 6 October 2026, one pair of ActivBeat 2.0 cost $99, with the five-pack at $297 flagged as the best seller. The checkout offered an "original" carrying case for $19, genuine leather cushions for $9, a car charger adapter for $14 and a 3-year warranty for $24. If you travel with them, the case is the add-on with a real purpose.

Prices are in US dollars as listed on 6 October 2026. Headphones are personal, so one pair is the sensible order. You can check today's packages on the ActivBeat 2.0 order page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab).

The carrying case

The $19 "Quality Original Carrying Case" image shows a black zip hard case with a red zip, printed with the Bluedio name, holding the folded headphones. A hard case protects the hinges and cushions in a bag, which matters for over-ear headphones. Many rivals include a case in the box.

The $19 carrying case add-on image, printed with the Bluedio name. Image: ActivBeat

Genuine leather cushions

For $9, the cushions are upgraded to "genuine leather" for "better isolation and better comfort". The page title already mentions "leather cushions", so the standard ones are probably synthetic leather. The image shows a tan stitched cushion with a fabric inner mesh. Real leather can wear better over time; synthetic leather tends to flake after a year or two.

The ear cushion close-up from the genuine leather cushions add-on. Image: ActivBeat

Car charger adapter

The $14 car charger is a USB car adapter. Headphones charge from any USB port, so skip it if you already have one.

What a pair really costs

With the case, ActivBeat 2.0 comes to $118. With leather cushions too, $127. Add the warranty and you are at $151, well into the range of headphones from major audio brands with published specs, apps and included cases. Decide which extras you truly need before you reach the payment page.

Warranty

The 3-year warranty costs $24, about a quarter of the price. The seller's terms already cover defective goods for two years once you have a returns number. For headphones, the parts most likely to fail are hinges, cushions and batteries, so a warranty has some value if you keep headphones for years.

The "regular price"

Add-ons are shown against crossed-out prices, and sponsored pages describe the headphones as about half their normal price. We found no evidence of ActivBeat 2.0 selling at a higher regular price anywhere.

The order page names G Com Pte Ltd at 137 Market Street in Singapore, with the email support@g63com.com and a phone number. The footer gives the country as Hong Kong. The page code says charges appear on your card statement as Matrixfze, written in capitals.

Are ActivBeat 2.0 better than Soundcore's Life Q30?

On published specs, no: the Soundcore Life Q30 lists hybrid ANC, 40 hours with ANC on, USB-C and a carry case, and usually sells for less. ActivBeat 2.0 has bigger drivers and a more distinctive look, but without a playtime or ANC figure you are buying on trust. If style matters most and you like the silver and tan design, that is the one reason to choose ActivBeat.

ActivBeat 2.0 vs Soundcore Life Q30

Android Central's review of the Soundcore Life Q30 describes hybrid ANC, an app with presets and EQ, physical buttons, USB-C charging and a carry case, with up to 40 hours of play with ANC on and 60 with it off. Those are the specs ActivBeat leaves out. That is the clearest case where a rival wins.

ActivBeat 2.0 vs premium ANC headphones

Flagship noise-cancelling headphones from the big audio brands cost several times more and offer stronger ANC, better microphones, apps, multipoint and long published battery life. For frequent flyers, the difference is noticeable. For a daily bus ride, a well-documented budget pair gets you most of the benefit for far less.

ActivBeat 2.0 vs buying the original brand

If ActivBeat 2.0 is a rebadged pair from another brand, the same headphones may be available under their original name from a retailer with local returns and a manual. Search for headphones that match the silver and tan design and the 57mm driver size, and compare the price and return terms.

ActivBeat 2.0 vs earbuds

Earbuds are smaller and easier to carry, and many budget pairs now offer ANC too. Over-ear headphones are more comfortable for long sessions for many people and usually give fuller sound. Our SoundPRO Sport review covers sports earbuds from the same checkout, and our SafeSleeve Air-Tube Headphones review looks at a wired design for people who prefer no Bluetooth near their head.

ActivBeat 2.0 vs hearing amplifiers

If you want headphones mainly to hear TV or conversation better, noise-cancelling headphones are the wrong tool. Our Hears review covers an over-the-counter hearing device that is designed for that job.

ActivBeat 2.0 vs a speaker

For music at home or in the shower, a speaker leaves your ears free. Our WaterBOOM 360 review looks at a cheap shower speaker from the same seller.

If the silver and tan design is what draws you, you can see today's bundles on the ActivBeat 2.0 offer page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab) and pick one pair.

Is ActivBeat 2.0 legit, and what should you check before buying?

ActivBeat 2.0 is a real product from a named seller, and a pair of headphones should arrive if you order. Before buying, ask for the playback time and Bluetooth details, switch from the five-pack, decide whether you want the case, note the card statement name and keep in mind that return postage is yours.

Ask for the missing specs

What to do: email support@g63com.com and ask for playback hours with ANC on and off, the Bluetooth version, supported codecs, whether there is a microphone and whether a 3.5mm cable is included. Keep the reply.

Check the selected bundle

The five-pack for $297 is flagged as the best seller in the page code. What to do: change the order to one pair before you enter your details.

Card statement name and memberships

The charge appears as Matrixfze. Pages on this checkout have also carried text for a "Gadget Discount Club" membership that is free for 30 days and then billed. What to do: note the statement name, and read every checkbox and post-payment page.

Refunds and returns

The page code offers a 30-day guarantee for a full refund or replacement, less shipping and handling. The terms we recorded on 4 October 2026 focus on defective goods, which can be returned within two years once you have a returns number, with return postage at your cost. Headphones that work but disappoint may not count as defective.

What to do: test the ANC, battery and pairing in the first week, and contact support at once if anything falls short of what support told you.

Delivery and support

The seller ships from overseas and gives no delivery estimate. What to do: save your order email, and if nothing arrives within three weeks, ask support for tracking.

How to buy ActivBeat 2.0 the smart way

  1. Ask support for the playback time, Bluetooth version and codecs.
  2. Open the ActivBeat 2.0 order page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab) and select your country.
  3. Change the five-pack to one pair.
  4. Add the case if you will carry them in a bag; skip the car charger.
  5. Note the card statement name, Matrixfze, and save your order email.
  6. Time a full charge of listening with ANC on during the first week.

How did we score ActivBeat 2.0?

ActivBeat 2.0 scores 4.0 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.6, build durability 1.0, price competitiveness 0.6, usability 1.3 and owner satisfaction 0.5, each out of 2. The design, big drivers and USB-C are real positives. The score falls because the page leads with a standby figure, omits playtime, ANC and codec details, appears to sell another brand's headphones under a new name, and costs more than better-documented rivals.

What owners say

We found no Trustpilot profile for the gadgetxaura.com store and no retailer reviews for ActivBeat 2.0 by that name. The ranking pages are press releases and affiliate articles quoting unsourced ratings. Owners of similar budget ANC headphones generally report decent noise reduction on trains and planes, comfortable cushions at first and wear on synthetic leather after a year or two.

What we did, and did not, do

Nobody on our team has used ActivBeat 2.0. We read the offer page our link opens and its page code on 6 October 2026, along with Android Central's review of the Soundcore Life Q30 and the pages that rank for ActivBeat 2.0. The refund and returns terms are as we recorded them from the site's terms page on 4 October 2026.

How to use ActivBeat 2.0 for the best results

Fit the cushions fully around your ears, switch ANC on only when there is steady noise, keep the volume moderate, charge with USB-C after each long session and store them folded in a case. A good seal does as much as the electronics for blocking noise. Wipe the cushions regularly, and replace them when they start to flake.

  1. Adjust the headband. The cushions should sit around your ears, not on them, with an even seal.
  2. Use ANC where it helps. Trains, planes and air conditioning; turn it off in quiet rooms to save battery.
  3. Keep volume moderate. ANC lets you hear at lower levels, which protects your hearing.
  4. Charge after long sessions. Do not wait for it to run flat every time.
  5. Fold and case them. Hinges are the most common failure point on folding headphones.
  6. Clean the cushions. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth, then dry.
  7. Update pairing on new devices. Forget and re-pair if the connection gets unstable.

Glasses and comfort

If you wear glasses, the arms break the seal around the cushions and let noise in. Thin-armed glasses help. Shift the cups slightly until the seal feels even.

On a plane

Switch ANC on before take-off, keep a charger in your bag, and check whether a 3.5mm cable is included if you want to use the seat-back screen.

Keeping your hearing safe

Long listening at high volume can damage hearing over time. Noise cancelling lets you hear clearly at lower volumes, which is one of its real benefits. Take breaks on long journeys.

Cleaning and hygiene

Wipe the cushions and headband with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap once a week if you use them daily, then let them dry before folding. Do not soak the cushions or use alcohol wipes on synthetic leather, which dries and cracks it. Light tan cushions show marks from make-up and hair products, so wipe them sooner rather than later.

Storing them

Keep them folded in a case, away from direct sun and heat, which fade the tan colour and age the cushions. Do not hang them by the headband on a hook for long periods, which can stretch it.

If the sound cuts out

Bluetooth drops are usually about distance and obstacles. Keep your phone in a pocket on the same side as the receiver, and stop other devices from connecting at the same time.

When the cushions wear

Synthetic leather cushions often crack and flake after a year or two of daily use. Replacement cushions for unbranded headphones can be hard to find. Ask support whether spares are sold before you buy.

What else do people ask about budget noise-cancelling headphones?

Most questions are about whether cheap ANC is worth it, whether noise cancelling is safe and how to tell good ANC from weak. Budget ANC is worth it on trains and planes, it is safe for normal use, and the best guide is a published measurement or an independent review. Browse our audio reviews for other headphones and speakers we have checked.

Is cheap noise cancelling worth it?

For steady noise, often yes. Budget ANC has improved a lot, and many affordable pairs make commutes noticeably quieter. The difference from premium headphones shows on voices, in comfort over long flights and in call quality.

Is ANC safe?

Yes for normal use. Some people feel pressure in their ears; if so, take breaks or switch it off. Do not use ANC where you need to hear traffic, such as cycling or crossing roads.

How do I know if my headphones have good ANC?

Try them in a steady noise, such as next to a running fan or an extractor hood, and switch ANC on and off. A clear drop in the low hum means it is working. Independent reviews that measure noise reduction are the best guide before you buy; ActivBeat 2.0 has none we could find.

Are 57mm drivers better than 40mm?

Not automatically. Larger drivers can produce deeper bass more easily, but tuning and build quality matter as much. Plenty of 40mm headphones sound excellent, and plenty of large-driver headphones sound boomy.

Can ANC headphones be worn for sleep?

Over-ear headphones are bulky to sleep in, especially on your side. For sleep, purpose-made sleep earbuds or soft headband headphones are more comfortable.

Can I use them while charging?

Many headphones play while charging, some do not. The page does not say. If you need that for long flights, ask support.

Do they work with a laptop?

Yes, any Bluetooth laptop can pair with them. For video calls, check whether the microphone works well enough, as budget headphones vary.

Frequently asked questions

Do ActivBeat 2.0 headphones have good noise cancelling?

There is no way to tell from the page. It lists active noise cancellation but gives no figure for how much noise it removes and no test. Budget ANC usually cuts steady low sounds, such as engine hum and air conditioning, and does much less for voices. Sponsored reviews praise it but cite no measurements.

How long does the ActivBeat 2.0 battery last?

The page only says 650 hours of smart standby, which is how long the headphones stay charged while switched on and idle. It gives no playback time with or without ANC. For comparison, Soundcore's Life Q30 lists 40 hours with ANC on and 60 hours with it off.

How much do ActivBeat 2.0 headphones cost?

On 6 October 2026, the offer page listed one pair for $99, two for $159, three (two plus one free) for $197, four for $249 and five (three plus two free) for $297, with the five-pack flagged as the best seller. A case cost $19, leather cushions $9 and a 3-year warranty $24.

Are ActivBeat 2.0 made by Bluedio?

We cannot confirm it, but the carrying case add-on image shows a hard case printed with the Bluedio name holding tan and silver headphones that match the ActivBeat photos. The offer page does not say who makes ActivBeat 2.0, so it may be a rebadged pair from another brand.

Do ActivBeat 2.0 work with iPhone and Android?

Yes. Like any Bluetooth headphones, they pair with iPhones, Android phones, tablets and laptops. The page does not list the Bluetooth version or codecs, so you cannot tell whether they support higher-quality formats such as AAC or aptX.

What are better noise-cancelling headphones for under $100?

Budget ANC headphones from established audio brands publish battery life, codecs and app features. Soundcore's Life Q30, for example, lists hybrid ANC, USB-C, a carry case and up to 40 hours with ANC on, and is usually priced below ActivBeat 2.0.

Is ActivBeat 2.0 legit?
