Our verdict
Yes, as a support for the habit side of quitting, if you pair it with nicotine replacement, medicine or a quit programme. The Capnos Legura is an aluminium inhaler that gives a vape-like pull and throat hit using only air, with optional natural flavour wicks, so it can replace the hand-to-mouth ritual. It does nothing for nicotine withdrawal, and Capnos's own store says it is not a cessation device. It scores 5.2 out of 10, held back by overstated "doctor recommended" claims, mixed owner reviews about the draw and flavour, and a high price for an air device.
The short version
- A nicotine-free "vape replacement": you pull air through an adjustable valve, optionally past a flavour wick, to get a vape-like throat hit.
- No battery, heating, vapour or nicotine; aluminium body, silicone bite cap, clicking fidget crown and lanyard.
- $74.99 for one on 3 October 2026, $129.99 for two and $173.99 for three, with a 30-day guarantee; flavour packs $7.99 for four wicks.
- Best trait: a convincing stand-in for the ritual of vaping that never needs charging.
- Biggest drawback: it does not touch nicotine dependence, and owner experiences are split.
- Our score: 5.2 out of 10, with the lowest marks for claim accuracy and owner satisfaction.
Pros & cons
The idea behind Capnos is sound: for many people, quitting vaping is as much about the habit as the nicotine. A device that keeps the habit without the drug can help, especially alongside other support. The marketing overstates what air alone can do, and the brand's own fine print is more careful than its offer page.
What we like
- No nicotine, vapour, battery, heat or electronics: just air drawn through an adjustable valve
- Replaces the hand-to-mouth habit and the pull of a vape, which many people find hardest to give up
- Adjustable draw strength, a silicone bite cap and a clicking 'fidget crown' for restless hands
- Aluminium body, washable, and no ongoing cost if you use it without flavour wicks
- 30-day money-back guarantee
What we don't
- Does nothing for nicotine withdrawal; heavy vapers usually need nicotine replacement or medicine as well
- The brand's own store says it is not intended as a smoking or vaping cessation device, unlike the offer page
- 'Doctor recommended' and 'backed by countless studies' name no doctor or study of this device
- Many owners find the draw hard work or the flavour faint; Trustpilot shows 3.4 from 50 reviews with 34% one-star
- $74.99 is a lot for an air device; the brand sells simpler models for $39.99

How it works
The Legura is a "pressurised air inhaler", in the brand's words. There is no electronics: just a valve, a chamber and a mouthpiece.
You pull air through a valve
Step 1: Drawing on the mouthpiece opens a small pressure valve, so air rushes in with resistance, giving a sharp pull and a 'hit' sensation in the throat that mimics a vape; twisting the bite cap changes how hard you have to pull.
Optional wicks add flavour
Step 2: A cotton wick soaked in natural extracts sits in the base, and the air picks up a light flavour as it passes; you can also use it with the blank wick for no flavour.
It replaces the ritual, not the nicotine
Step 3: Holding, pulling and exhaling recreate the routine of vaping, which can ease habit-driven cravings; there is no nicotine, so physical withdrawal still has to be managed another way.

The throat hit comes from the resistance and the sudden rush of air when the valve opens, which stimulates the back of the throat in a way that resembles the hit from a vape. Flavour is light, because nothing is heated or vaporised; air simply passes over a wick soaked in extracts.
Who it's for
The Legura is most likely to help people whose vaping is driven by habit: reaching for the device without thinking, at the desk, in the car, after meals, when stressed or bored. That includes light vapers, people who have already cut down, and people who have quit nicotine but miss the ritual. It is also useful alongside nicotine patches, gum, lozenges or prescription medicine, to cover the hand-to-mouth part that those treatments do not.
It is less likely to help a heavy daily vaper who uses it as their only tool. Nicotine withdrawal, irritability, cravings, poor sleep and difficulty concentrating, is driven by the drug, and air cannot replace that. For those users, the Legura is a useful add-on to proper support, not a substitute.
Why the Legura appeals
Most quit aids focus on nicotine: patches, gum, lozenges, medicine. Many vapers find they can manage the nicotine but still reach for a vape out of habit, dozens of times a day, without thinking. That gap, the missing ritual, is where relapses often happen. A device that looks, feels and pulls like a vape, with nothing harmful inside, fills it.
The Legura is also appealing because it is clean and low-maintenance. No charging, no liquid, no smell, no cloud, nothing to hide from family or colleagues. It is built to last and costs nothing to run without flavour wicks.
Who gets the most value
The research and owner reviews point the same way. People who vape mainly out of habit, at fixed times and places, get the most from it. People who vape heavily for the nicotine buzz, or who expect it to taste and feel like a flavoured vape, are the ones most likely to be disappointed.
- Vapers whose cravings are driven by habit, boredom or stress more than nicotine, especially light or occasional users
- People already using nicotine patches, gum or medicine who miss the hand-to-mouth ritual
- Former vapers who want something to hold and pull on to avoid relapse
Who should skip it
- Heavy daily vapers relying on it alone to quit; pair it with nicotine replacement or medical support
- Anyone expecting a strong flavour or a vape-like cloud
- People who find drawing against resistance uncomfortable, including some with asthma or lung disease
- Budget buyers; the brand's simpler models cost about half as much
What do you get with Capnos Legura, and what does it cost?
The Legura is a matte black aluminium cylinder about 10.7 cm tall and 2.7 cm across, with a silicone bite cap on top and a clicking crown at the base. Capnos's store says the starter pack includes the base and bite cap, a blank unflavoured wick already fitted, three flavour wicks (Yukamint, Citrus Tango and Peppebacco), tweezers for changing wicks and a lanyard.

Capnos Legura price and bundles
On 3 October 2026 the offer page our link opens showed:
| Package | Total | Per device | Shown as |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Legura | $74.99 | $74.99 | Retail $86.99 |

| Buy 2, get 1 free (3) | $173.99 | $58.00 | Retail $260.97 |
Capnos's own store listed the Legura at $74.99, with free US shipping on orders over $80.
The Capnos range
Capnos sells several air-only devices. Its store listed the Legura and the BRE-Z at $74.99 each, a bundle of both at $119.98, and simpler E-Z and Zero bundles at $39.99, plus accessories such as silicone dust caps and flavoured bite caps. The Legura is described as its most popular model, with a tighter draw and stronger adjustment than the Zero. The store describes the BRE-Z as another flavour-wick device.
Who makes it
The offer page says Capnos was designed in Michigan and was started by a founder who began vaping at 14 and set up the company at 19, with a goal of helping one million people quit vaping by 2027. The brand runs a Facebook community for users to share flavour mixes. Shipping is offered to more than 95 countries, according to the page.
Running costs
The device has no ongoing cost if you use it with the blank wick. With flavour, expect about $8 a month at the brand's estimate, less with the multi-buy offer. That is far cheaper than most vaping habits, which is part of the appeal.
Wicks lose scent over time once exposed to air, so buying a big stock of flavour packs in advance is not ideal. Order as you need them, or keep spares sealed.
Is $75 good value?
As a one-off purchase that replaces an expensive habit, $75 can pay for itself within weeks for a regular vaper. As a device that is essentially a valve in an aluminium tube, it is expensive. Capnos sells simpler air-only models in bundles from $39.99 and itself recommends trying those first, which is good advice if you are unsure the concept suits you.

Does Capnos Legura help you quit vaping, and what does the evidence say?
Capnos Legura addresses only the habit side of vaping: the hand-to-mouth action and inhale, not nicotine withdrawal. The closest research is on nicotine-free inhalators: in a randomised trial of 120 smokers, adding one did not improve overall quit rates at 24 weeks, though it helped smokers with high behavioural dependence. Combining support with nicotine replacement or medicine remains the most effective approach.
The sales page says Capnos is "backed by countless studies" but cites none. Here is what research does say about quitting, and where an air-only device fits.
Nicotine dependence and habit are both real
Vaping keeps people hooked in two ways: the nicotine, which causes physical dependence and withdrawal, and the behaviour, the hand-to-mouth action, the inhale, the routine moments that trigger a craving. Successful quitting usually addresses both. Capnos addresses only the second.
Nicotine-free inhalers: mixed results
The closest research is on nicotine-free inhalators, plastic devices that mimic a cigarette without nicotine. In a randomised trial of 120 smokers in a cessation programme, adding a nicotine-free inhalator did not improve overall quit rates at 24 weeks. But among smokers with high behavioural dependence, those who scored high on habit-driven smoking, quit rates were more than three times higher with the inhalator. That suggests air-only devices help a particular group, not everyone.
Studies of nicotine-free e-cigarettes have also found that the sensory and behavioural cues of vaping can reduce short-term urges, even without nicotine. None of these studies tested Capnos.
Why habit matters so much
Every puff on a vape pairs a small nicotine reward with an action, a place and a feeling. Repeated thousands of times, those pairings become automatic, so that finishing a meal, getting in the car or feeling stressed triggers a craving even when nicotine levels are fine. That is why people often relapse weeks after physical withdrawal has passed. Tools that let you keep the action without the reward can help weaken those links, though the craving may also need to be ridden out until it fades.
Stress and vaping
Many people say they vape to relax. Nicotine withdrawal itself causes tension, so vaping relieves a stress that vaping created; over time, quitting usually lowers stress levels. Slow, deep breaths, which the Legura's long pull encourages, can help in the moment, which may be part of why some users find it calming.
What works best overall
The strongest evidence for quitting nicotine comes from combining support with treatment:
- Behavioural support and quit programmes. A 2022 randomised trial in JAMA Internal Medicine found that young adults using the free This is Quitting text-message programme had about 40% higher odds of quitting vaping than a control group.
- Nicotine replacement therapy. Patches, gum, lozenges and inhalers ease withdrawal while you break the habit, and are widely recommended for adults.
- Prescription medicines. Doctors can prescribe medicines that reduce cravings and withdrawal.
- Quitlines. Free telephone coaching is available in many countries; in the US, 1-800-QUIT-NOW connects you to your state quitline.
A behavioural aid like Capnos fits best as an add-on to these, filling the gap that patches and medicine leave: something to do with your hands and mouth.
Young people
The founder story on the page describes starting to vape at 14, and the brand talks about solutions "for all ages". For teenagers, nicotine dependence develops quickly and the developing brain is more sensitive to it. Free programmes such as This is Quitting are designed for young people, and a doctor can advise on support suitable for under-18s.
Are Capnos Legura's claims true?
Some of Capnos Legura's claims hold up: there is no vapour or nicotine, and the device is air-only. Others go too far. The "real throat hits" split owners, with some describing a convincing hit and others a straw-like draw. "Doctor recommended" and "backed by countless studies" name no doctor or study, and Capnos's own store says it is not intended as a smoking or vaping cessation device.

"The vape replacement that delivers real throat hits"
Owners split on this. Some describe a convincing throat hit, especially with Citrus Tango; others say it feels like sucking air through a tiny straw, with little flavour. The draw is adjustable, so part of this is finding the right setting, but expectations should be modest.
"Doctor recommended" and "backed by science"
The page shows a "doctor recommended" badge and says Capnos has been independently reviewed by medical professionals and is backed by countless studies. It names no doctor, organisation or study. The general idea, replacing the behavioural side of nicotine use, has some research support, as above. The device itself has not been tested in published trials that we could find.
"100% natural, zero vapour or nicotine"
There is no vapour, and the device contains no nicotine. "Natural" refers to the plant extracts in the wicks. The Peppebacco wick contains tobacco extract, which the brand lists openly; it does not publish whether any trace of nicotine remains. If you want to avoid tobacco-derived ingredients entirely, use the other flavours.
"Proven safe" flavour wicks "may even offer health benefits"
Breathing in air lightly scented with peppermint or orange is not known to be harmful for most people. But the long-term effects of inhaling flavoured air many times a day have not been studied, and some people with asthma or allergies react to strong scents like eucalyptus and menthol. "Proven safe" and "health benefits" go further than the evidence.
"Use it everywhere, even on the airplane"
It produces no smoke, vapour or smell, so it does not breach smoking rules. But it looks like a vape, and staff on planes, in offices or in venues may not know the difference. Using it discreetly avoids trouble.
"Lasts forever"
The aluminium body and valve have nothing that obviously wears out, and the page says it delivers unlimited hits. The silicone bite cap is the part most likely to wear, especially if chewed, and Capnos sells replacement caps. "Forever" is optimistic; years is plausible.
"100,000+ sold"
We could not verify the sales figure. The size of the Trustpilot profile, 50 reviews, is modest by comparison, though many buyers never leave reviews.
The brand's own disclaimer
Capnos's store says the Legura is "not intended as a smoking cessation or vaping cessation device" and describes it as a behavioural aid. That is the accurate framing, and it is more careful than the offer page's "vape replacement" and quitting testimonials.
Claims scorecard

Is Capnos Legura better than a nicotine inhaler or cheaper air devices?
A nicotine inhaler sold as nicotine replacement therapy keeps the hand-to-mouth action and eases withdrawal with a small dose of nicotine, and it is an approved medicine, so it does both jobs Capnos cannot. Capnos's own simpler E-Z and Zero devices start at $39.99 without flavour wicks, and the brand recommends trying them before the Legura. If you are unsure an air-only device will help, start with those.
| Option | Cost | Helps with nicotine withdrawal | Helps with habit | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Capnos Legura | $75 plus optional $8 a month | No | Yes | Indirect (nicotine-free inhalator studies) |
| Simpler air devices (Capnos E-Z, Zero) | From $40 | No | Yes | Same idea, less adjustable |
| Nicotine replacement (patch, gum, lozenge) | Varies; sometimes free via quitlines | Yes | Partly (gum, lozenge, inhaler) | Strong for adults |
| Prescription medicines | Varies; often covered | Yes | Partly | Strong for adults |
| Quit programmes and text support | Free | Indirectly | Yes | Good, including for young adults |
| Cutting down gradually | Free | Partly | Partly | Mixed |
| Cold turkey | Free | No | No | Works for some; high relapse |
Capnos Legura vs a nicotine inhaler
Nicotine inhalers sold as nicotine replacement therapy look a little like a cigarette holder and deliver a small dose of nicotine with each puff, easing withdrawal while keeping the hand-to-mouth action. They are approved medicines, available on prescription or over the counter in some countries. For a heavy vaper who misses the ritual, a nicotine inhaler or patch plus a Capnos for nicotine-free moments may be a strong combination.
Capnos Legura vs the cheaper Capnos models
Capnos sells the E-Z and Zero in bundles from $39.99. They are simpler, with less adjustment and no flavour wicks. Capnos itself recommends trying them before the Legura. If you are not sure an air-only device will help you, start there.
Capnos Legura vs nicotine-free e-cigarettes
Some people try "zero nicotine" vapes to keep the habit while dropping the drug. Those still heat liquid and produce vapour containing flavourings and other chemicals, and they can keep you attached to the same device and routine. The Legura gives the ritual without any vapour, which is the safer choice if you want to keep something in your hand.
Capnos Legura vs other air-only "quit sticks"
Other brands sell similar air-only inhalers and aromatherapy sticks marketed for quitting. Compare the draw adjustment, materials, flavour options and return policy. Capnos's adjustable aluminium design is at the premium end; cheaper plastic versions exist.
Capnos Legura vs other habit tools
Chewing gum, toothpicks, a water bottle with a straw, fidget toys and breathing exercises all replace parts of the ritual for free or very little. Some people find a breathing tool, such as a slow-breathing necklace, helps with the stress-relief side of vaping; our Moksha Beam review covers one.
If you have decided a nicotine-free behavioural aid suits you, the Capnos Legura order page (opens Capnos in a new tab) shows the single and multi-pack offers. Our health gadgets section and wider health and wellness reviews cover other breathing devices, including Better Breathing Sport and AirPhysio. For a breathing tool aimed at stress rather than cravings, see our Moonbird review.

Is Capnos Legura legit, and what should you check before buying?
Capnos is a real company with a Trustpilot score of 3.4 from 50 reviews, but the Legura is a habit aid, not a cessation device, by the brand's own description. Before buying, plan your quit with a free programme or quitline, consider nicotine replacement for withdrawal, and expect cravings and irritability for days to weeks. Try the cheaper Capnos models first if you are unsure the draw will suit you.
Plan your quit, not just the device
Quitting is more likely to succeed with a plan: a quit date, support, a way to handle withdrawal and a list of your triggers.
What to do: use a free programme such as This is Quitting or a quitline, consider nicotine replacement or talking to a doctor about medicine, and use the Legura for the habit moments.
Withdrawal will still happen
If you vape nicotine daily, expect irritability, cravings, poor sleep and low mood for a few days to weeks after stopping.
What to do: use nicotine replacement if you are an adult heavy user, and tell a doctor if your mood drops significantly.
Breathing against resistance
Pulling hard against a valve is effortful, and several owners found it tiring.
What to do: start on the easiest setting. If you have asthma, COPD or another lung condition, check with your doctor, and stop if you feel breathless or dizzy.
Flavour sensitivity
Eucalyptus, peppermint and citrus can irritate airways in some people.
What to do: try the blank wick first, then one flavour at a time.
Hygiene
You put the bite cap in your mouth many times a day.
What to do: wash the bite cap with soap and water regularly, do not share it, and replace the cap if it gets damaged by chewing.
Using it around others
It looks like a vape, which can confuse people at work, school or home, especially those supporting your quit attempt.
What to do: tell people close to you what it is, so they do not think you have relapsed.
Parents buying for a teenager
The Legura is marketed to all ages, and many parents look for ways to help a teenager stop vaping. A device is unlikely to work if the teenager does not want to quit.
What to do: talk first, without blame; suggest a free youth programme such as This is Quitting; involve a doctor, who can advise on support suitable for their age; and offer the Legura as an option, not a solution.
Returns and support
The offer page promises a 30-day money-back guarantee with hassle-free returns. Trustpilot reviewers report mixed experiences with support, from replies within a week to no response.
What to do: try the device seriously in the first two weeks, keep the packaging, and contact support early if it is not working.
Spending what you save
Vaping regularly costs many people a significant amount each month in devices and liquid or pods.
What to do: put the money you would have spent on vaping aside each week. Watching it grow is a useful motivator, and it pays for the Legura quickly.
Relapse is part of quitting
Most people who quit nicotine have one or more slips before quitting for good.
What to do: if you vape again, do not treat it as failure. Note what triggered it, plan for that trigger, and set a new quit date. Keep using the Legura and any other support.
How to buy Capnos Legura the smart way
- Decide how you will handle nicotine withdrawal; if you vape daily, plan nicotine replacement or speak to a doctor. Then open the Capnos Legura offer page (opens Capnos in a new tab).
- Consider whether a simpler Capnos model at about half the price would do; the brand suggests starting there.
- Buy one device unless someone else is quitting with you.
- Check the order summary for flavour packs or add-ons you did not choose.
- Save your order confirmation; the 30-day guarantee starts from your order.
- Set a quit date and keep the Legura where your vape used to be.
What do owners say, and how did we score Capnos Legura?
Capnos Legura scores 5.2 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.7, build durability 1.4, price competitiveness 1.0, usability 1.2 and owner satisfaction 0.9, each out of 2. Its Trustpilot profile showed 3.4 from 50 reviews, with 48% five-star and 34% one-star. Positive reviews say it helped people stop vaping and satisfied the oral fixation; negative ones describe a hard draw, faint flavour and unanswered support.
Trustpilot
On 3 October 2026 the Trustpilot profile for mycapnos.com showed a TrustScore of 3.4 out of 5 from 50 reviews: 48% five-star, 8% four-star, 6% three-star, 4% two-star and 34% one-star. The company replies to about 57% of negative reviews, usually within a week.
Positive reviews say it helped people stop smoking or vaping and satisfied the oral fixation. Negative reviews say the draw was very hard, like sucking air through a tiny cocktail straw, the flavour was faint or barely there, the device did not work, and support did not reply.
The testimonials on the page
The offer page's testimonials describe a firefighter who stopped vaping in two weeks and noticed better endurance, a user who quit daily vaping and occasional cigarettes, a user who customised their own wicks, and a heavy vaper who left their e-cigarette at home after five weeks. Several mention a learning curve, and one notes a funny noise when inhaling.
Common themes in positive reviews
Users who like it most tend to describe it as a replacement for specific habit moments, at work, while driving, after meals, rather than as a complete substitute for vaping. Several say it helped them cut down first and then stop. Some combine it with other changes, such as exercise or avoiding triggers.
Common themes in negative reviews
Users who dislike it most describe the draw as too hard, the flavour as too faint, or the sensation as nothing like a vape. A few report devices that did not work and slow replies from support. Very few say it caused them any harm.
Reading the split
A Trustpilot split of nearly half five-star and a third one-star usually means a product that suits some people well and others not at all. Here, that fits the research: a behavioural aid helps habit-driven users, but disappoints those expecting it to replace a nicotine hit or a flavourful vape.
How we scored Capnos Legura
Every score on the site follows the five criteria on our how we test page.
| Criterion | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Claim accuracy | 0.7 / 2 | No nicotine as claimed; quitting, doctor and science claims overstated; brand store contradicts offer page |
| Build durability | 1.4 / 2 | Aluminium body, silicone cap, nothing to charge or wear out quickly |
| Price competitiveness | 1.0 / 2 | Cheap compared with vaping; expensive for an air device; simpler models cost half |
| Usability | 1.2 / 2 | Simple, but many find the draw hard and flavour faint |
| Owner satisfaction | 0.9 / 2 | 3.4 from 50 Trustpilot reviews, 34% one-star |
| Total | 5.2 / 10 |
The score would rise with marketing that matches the brand's own behavioural-aid framing and an independent study of the device.
What we did, and did not, do
Nobody on our team has used Capnos Legura, and this review does not claim otherwise. We read the offer page our link opens, Capnos's own store data, its Trustpilot profile, a trial of a nicotine-free inhalator and the This is Quitting trial, all on 3 October 2026. Nothing here is medical advice.
How to use Capnos Legura for the best results
Wash the bite cap before first use and check the blank wick is in place, then twist the cap to the easiest setting. Draw slowly until the valve opens and you feel the hit, exhale normally, and adjust the draw a little at a time. Reach for the Legura at your usual vaping moments, such as waking up, after meals or on breaks, and aim to need it less over time.

Twisting to adjust the draw

Inserting a flavour wick
- Wash the bite cap before first use and check the blank wick is in place.
- Twist the bite cap to the easiest setting.
- Draw slowly through the mouthpiece until the valve opens and you feel the hit; exhale normally.
- Adjust the draw a little at a time until it feels satisfying without straining.
- Once you like the draw, add a flavour wick with the tweezers, one flavour at a time.
- Keep it where your vape used to be: desk, car, pocket, bedside.
- Use it at trigger moments, and combine it with your wider quit plan.
Using it at trigger moments
Make a list of when you used to vape: waking up, after meals, in the car, on breaks, with coffee or alcohol, under stress. Plan to reach for the Legura at exactly those moments for the first few weeks. Over time, aim to need it less.
A first-week plan
- Day 1 to 2: use the Legura with the blank wick at your usual vaping moments and find a comfortable draw setting.
- Day 3 to 4: add a flavour if you want one, and keep the device in the places your vape used to live.
- Day 5 to 7: notice which moments the Legura satisfies and which still bring strong cravings; those are where nicotine replacement, a walk, a glass of water or a message to a quit programme can help.
Keep your old vape out of reach, or give it away, so the Legura is the easy option. Dispose of old vapes properly; many contain lithium batteries that should not go in household rubbish.
Changing wicks
Use the tweezers to remove the old wick and insert a new one. The brand says a wick lasts about a week. Store spare wicks sealed so they keep their scent.
Making your own flavours
The blank wicks let you add your own extracts. Use small amounts of food-grade natural extracts, never e-liquid, nicotine or essential oils you would not want to breathe, and avoid anything you are allergic to.
Capnos publishes a flavour guide on its site with safety notes; read it before experimenting, and keep homemade wicks simple, with one or two extracts at a time.
Cleaning
Wash the bite cap and body with warm soapy water, rinse and let them dry fully before reassembling. Do not wash the flavour wick.
Clean it at least weekly, and more often if you carry it in a pocket or bag where lint and dust collect around the mouthpiece. A dust cap, sold separately, keeps the bite cap clean between uses.
Weaning off
A behavioural aid is a bridge. After a few weeks without vaping, try leaving the Legura at home for short periods, then for whole days. If cravings return, keep using it; relapse is common, and a nicotine-free crutch is better than going back to vaping.
Some people keep a Legura long after quitting, for moments of stress or as a safety net. There is no harm in that if it helps you stay vape-free.
Using the fidget crown and bite cap
The base clicks as you spin it, giving restless hands something to do, and the silicone bite cap is designed to be chewed. Both target the fidgeting and oral fixation many people notice when they stop vaping.
Travelling with it
There is no battery or liquid, so it is not subject to the lithium battery or liquids rules that apply to vapes. It may still look like a vape on an X-ray or to staff, so keep it somewhere easy to show if asked. The lanyard keeps it from getting lost.

What else do people ask about quitting vaping?
Most questions are about cravings and approach. Physical withdrawal usually peaks in the first few days and eases over two to four weeks, while habit-driven cravings triggered by places and routines can return for months. Quitting all at once with a quit date and nicotine replacement works for many people; others cut down first. Free help is available from quit programmes and quitlines.
How long do nicotine cravings last after quitting?
Physical withdrawal usually peaks in the first few days and eases over two to four weeks. Habit-driven cravings, triggered by places and routines, can come back for months, which is where behavioural tools help.
Is it better to quit vaping gradually or all at once?
Both can work. Many people do well setting a quit date and using nicotine replacement to manage withdrawal. Others cut down first. A quit programme can help you choose.
Can you be addicted to the habit of vaping without nicotine?
Yes. The routine, hand-to-mouth action and stress relief of vaping can become habits in their own right. That is why nicotine-free aids exist and why some people miss vaping even after nicotine withdrawal has passed.
Are nicotine-free vapes a good way to quit?
Nicotine-free e-cigarettes still heat liquid and produce vapour, with flavourings and other chemicals, and may keep the habit alive. Air-only devices like Capnos avoid vapour entirely.
Where can I get free help to quit vaping?
In the US, the free This is Quitting text programme and 1-800-QUIT-NOW quitlines are available, and smokefree.gov has guides. Many countries have similar free services. A doctor or pharmacist can advise on nicotine replacement and medicine.
How do I know if I am dependent on nicotine?
Signs include vaping within half an hour of waking, finding it hard to go a few hours without vaping, and feeling irritable, anxious or restless when you cannot. If several apply, nicotine replacement or medicine alongside a behavioural aid gives you a better chance of quitting.
Is it normal to gain weight after quitting?
Some people gain a little weight, partly because nicotine slightly suppresses appetite and partly because food replaces the habit. Keeping something in your hand, like the Legura, plus healthy snacks and regular activity helps.
Does quitting vaping improve breathing?
Many people notice less coughing and better exercise tolerance within weeks of stopping. Persistent breathing problems should be checked by a doctor.
What happens to your body after you stop vaping?
Heart rate and blood pressure often settle within days, taste and smell can improve within weeks, and many people notice less coughing and easier breathing over the following months. Sleep and mood can be disrupted during withdrawal, then usually improve.
Can I use Capnos if I smoke cigarettes rather than vape?
Yes. The behavioural side of smoking is similar: hand-to-mouth action, the pull and routine moments. Testimonials on the page include people who used it to stop occasional cigarettes. Pair it with nicotine replacement if you smoke daily.
Frequently asked questions
Does Capnos Legura help you quit vaping?
It can help with the habit side: having something to hold and pull on when a craving hits. It has no nicotine, so it does not ease withdrawal symptoms. Research on nicotine-free inhalers suggests they help some people with strong behavioural dependence but did not improve overall quit rates. Most people quit more successfully combining a behavioural aid with nicotine replacement, medicine or a quit programme.
Is Capnos Legura a vape?
No. It has no battery, heating element, e-liquid or nicotine, and produces no vapour. You pull ordinary air through an adjustable valve, optionally past a flavour wick. It is designed to look and feel like a vape. It has no battery to charge.
How much does Capnos Legura cost?
On 3 October 2026 the offer page showed $74.99 for one, $129.99 for two and $173.99 for three. Capnos's own store listed the Legura at $74.99, flavour packs of four wicks at $7.99 each, and simpler Capnos models from $39.99.
Is it safe to inhale the flavour wicks?
The wicks contain natural extracts such as peppermint, eucalyptus, orange and grapefruit, which you breathe in lightly with the air. There is no heating or vapour. The long-term effects of regularly inhaling flavoured air have not been studied; people with asthma or allergies should try the blank wick first.
Does Peppebacco contain nicotine?
Capnos lists tobacco extract as an ingredient in the Peppebacco wick and says its devices are nicotine-free. It does not publish a nicotine test for that extract. If you are trying to avoid nicotine completely, choose Yukamint, Citrus Tango or the blank wick.
Can I use Capnos on a plane?
The offer page says yes, since it produces no vapour or smoke. Cabin crew may not know what it is, and airlines can ban items that look like e-cigarettes. Using it discreetly, or not at all, avoids awkward conversations.
Why does it feel hard to pull?
The resistance is how it creates the throat hit. Twisting the bite cap adjusts the strength. Several owners on Trustpilot found the draw tiring or straw-like; start on the easiest setting and adjust. Draw slowly rather than hard.
What is the difference between Legura, BRE-Z, E-Z and Zero?
They are Capnos's range of air-only devices. Legura and BRE-Z ($74.99 each on the brand's store) take flavour wicks and have adjustable pressure; the simpler E-Z and Zero models are sold in bundles from $39.99. Capnos itself suggests trying a simpler model before the Legura.
