Our verdict
It depends on what you want to heat and whether you can confirm it is certified. EcoHeat S is a compact ceramic heater with two power settings, a thermostat and a tip-over switch, a sensible design for warming one person at a desk or a small room. But it shows no recognised safety certification, its 1,200-watt maximum limits it to small spaces, and oscillation and a cool fan mode are sold separately. A branded 1,500-watt heater costs about half as much. EcoHeat S scores 3.8 out of 10, held back by certification, price and add-ons.
The short version
- What it is: a small ceramic fan heater with 600 and 1,200 watt settings, an LCD thermostat and tip-over shut-off.
- Price: $89 for one on 4 October 2026, with a five-pack for $277 preselected. Delivery was listed as free.
- Best trait: quick, focused warmth for one person or a small room.
- Biggest drawback: no certification shown, and branded heaters cost about half as much.
- Our score: 3.8 out of 10.
Pros & cons
The pros come from the ceramic heater design. The cons are about proof of safety, price and what is sold separately.
What we like
- Ceramic element warms up quickly, giving warm air within moments of switching on
- Tip-over shut-off, according to the page
- Thermostat with an LCD display to hold a chosen temperature
- Two power settings, 600 and 1,200 watts
- Free delivery, and the seller names a registered company with a Singapore address
What we don't
- At $89, it costs about twice a branded 1,500-watt ceramic heater with tip-over protection
- No UL, ETL or other safety certification mark shown on the page
- Oscillation, shown in the main photo, and a cool fan mode are sold as add-ons
- 1,200 watts on high suits one person or a small room, not a large living space
- '2 seconds heating time' refers to the element, not to how fast a room warms
- Refunds need a returns number first, and you pay return postage to an overseas seller

How it works
Ceramic heaters pass electricity through ceramic plates with built-in resistance, which get hot quickly and stay at a controlled temperature. A fan blows room air across the plates and out through the grille, spreading warmth faster than a radiator. A thermostat switches the element on and off to hold your chosen temperature.
Plug it into a wall socket
Step 1: Place the heater on a flat, hard floor at least three feet from anything that can burn, and plug it directly into a wall socket, not an extension lead.
Choose power and temperature
Step 2: Select low (600 W) or high (1,200 W) and set your target temperature on the display. The heater cycles on and off to hold it.
A fan blows warm air
Step 3: Electricity heats ceramic plates inside, and a fan pushes air across them and out through the grille. The tip-over switch cuts power if it falls.
Who it's for
EcoHeat S suits one person who wants to warm the area around a desk, chair or small bedroom, uses the heater attentively and confirms it carries a recognised safety certification. It does not suit large rooms, overnight use or homes where children and pets could knock it.
- One person who wants to warm the space around their desk or chair rather than the whole home
- Small bedrooms, home offices or bathrooms where a heater is permitted and used with care
- Buyers who confirm the heater carries a recognised safety certification before using it
Why EcoHeat S appeals
Heating a whole house to warm one room wastes energy. A personal heater lets you turn down central heating and warm only where you sit. The page promises fast, effective and powerful indoor personal heating; its safest heater yet, with no fast spinning blades and automatic shut-off when tipped; precise heating with an LCD smart thermostat; a portable, compact design; ceramic plates that heat in two seconds; and adjustable power at 600 or 1,200 watts.
The photo shows a sleek black cylinder with a perforated grille and an orange glow behind it, with orange arrows suggesting it turns from side to side.
Who gets the most value
People who spend long hours in one small room, while the rest of the home can stay cooler, get the most from a personal heater. Warming one office or bedroom for a few hours can cost less than heating the whole house. For people who want to heat large open-plan spaces, a portable heater is the wrong tool.
Home workers
Many people working from home warm their office instead of the whole house during the day. A small heater under or beside the desk can do that efficiently, especially at 600 watts once the room is warm. Switch it off when you leave the room.
Small bedrooms
Warming a cold bedroom for half an hour before bed is a common use. Switch the heater off before you sleep. Safety guidance is clear that heaters should not run unattended or while people are asleep.
Garden offices and sheds
Garden rooms and sheds often have no heating and can be cold and damp. A heater can make them usable in winter, but outbuildings may have limited wiring, extension cables run from the house and damp conditions. Have an electrician check the supply, keep the heater away from tools and stored materials, and never leave it on when you are not there.
Bathrooms
Some heaters are designed for bathroom use with special protection against water. The page does not say EcoHeat S is suitable for bathrooms. Keep it out of bathrooms and away from water unless the maker confirms it is rated for that use.
Older people
Older people often feel the cold more and spend long periods sitting, which makes personal heaters appealing. They are also more at risk in heater fires and from trips over cables. Choose a certified heater with tip-over and overheat protection, place it where nobody will trip over the cable, and make sure there is a working smoke alarm nearby. Some areas offer help with heating costs for older households; check before buying.
Students and renters
Renters in poorly heated flats often rely on portable heaters. Check your tenancy agreement, since some landlords restrict their use, and talk to the landlord about the heating if a room cannot be kept warm. A heater is a short-term fix for a cold room, not a substitute for working heating.
People with breathing conditions
Fan heaters move dust around, which can bother people with asthma or allergies. Keep the grille and room dust-free, and consider an oil-filled radiator, which heats without blowing air.
Who should skip it
Skip EcoHeat S if you need to heat a large room, would leave it running unattended, cannot confirm its safety certification or can buy a branded heater for less.
- Anyone wanting to heat a large or poorly insulated room
- People who would leave a heater running while asleep or out
- Price-conscious buyers, since branded ceramic heaters cost about half as much
- Homes with young children or pets who could knock it or touch it without supervision
Is EcoHeat S safe, and what certification should a heater have?
EcoHeat S lists a tip-over shut-off and calls itself the seller's safest heater, but the page shows no safety certification from a recognised testing laboratory such as UL, ETL or CSA in North America, or the equivalent marks in Europe. PIRG, citing the CPSC, reports that portable space heaters are linked to about 1,700 home fires, 80 deaths and 160 injuries a year. Confirm certification before using any heater.

What the safety data says
PIRG's space heater safety summary, drawing on Consumer Product Safety Commission figures, reports about 1,700 residential fires, 80 deaths and 160 injuries a year from portable space heaters. Its tips include keeping heaters three feet from anything that can burn, plugging them directly into a wall socket, and never leaving them on when you leave the room or go to sleep.
Certification marks
In the US and Canada, look for a mark from a nationally recognised testing laboratory, such as UL, ETL (Intertek) or CSA, on the heater and its plug. In Europe and the UK, CE or UKCA marking is required, and independent certification marks give extra assurance. The EcoHeat S page shows none of these. What to do: ask support which certification the heater carries and check for the mark on the label when it arrives.
Why certification is more than a label
Certification bodies test samples of a heater for electrical safety, temperature limits and fire risk, and inspect the factory. That is why a mark from a recognised laboratory is worth looking for: it means someone independent checked that the design and production meet safety standards. Without it, you rely only on the seller's word.
Tip-over and overheat protection
A tip-over switch cuts power if the heater falls. Overheat protection cuts power if internal parts get too hot, for example if the grille is blocked. The page mentions tip-over protection but not overheat protection. Good heaters have both.
Cool-touch exterior
Many branded heaters advertise a cool-touch case, so a brushed hand or a pet does not get burned. The EcoHeat S page does not say how hot its case gets. Treat the grille and top as hot while it runs, and keep it away from children and pets.
"No fast spinning blades"
Ceramic fan heaters do use a fan, usually a small enclosed barrel fan behind the grille, to blow air across the element. The page's phrase likely means the fan is hidden rather than absent. Keep fingers and objects out of the grille.
"Do not cover"
The control panel image shows a "Do not cover" warning, which is standard for heaters. Clothes, towels or papers draped over a heater block airflow and can catch fire.
Keeping three feet clear
The three-foot rule matters because heaters can ignite nearby materials without touching them. Curtains moved by a draught, a duvet sliding off a bed or a pile of laundry can drift closer than you planned. Check the space around the heater each time you switch it on, and never use it to dry clothes.
Carbon monoxide and electric heaters
Electric heaters do not burn fuel, so they do not produce carbon monoxide. That makes them safer indoors than fuel-burning portable heaters. You still need smoke alarms, and a carbon monoxide alarm if your home has any fuel-burning appliances.
Extension leads and power strips
Heaters draw a lot of current. Plugging them into extension leads or power strips can overheat the lead and cause a fire. Plug EcoHeat S directly into a wall socket that is not shared with other high-power appliances.
How much can a 1,200-watt heater warm, and what does it cost to run?
At 1,200 watts on high, EcoHeat S suits one person or a small, well-insulated room. Many portable heaters sold in the US run at 1,500 watts. On high, it uses 1.2 kilowatt-hours of electricity for every hour it runs at full power; multiply that by your electricity rate for the cost. The "2 seconds heating time" refers to the ceramic element, not to how quickly a room warms.
What the photos suggest about size
The images show a short, round heater with a perforated grille, a glowing element and a control panel on top. The page gives no dimensions or weight. Small heaters are easy to place but also easier to knock over, which is why the tip-over switch matters.
What 1,200 watts means
Electric heaters turn almost all their power into heat. A 1,200-watt heater gives 1,200 watts of heat, slightly less than a typical 1,500-watt heater on high. In a small bedroom or office with closed doors, that can raise the temperature noticeably. In a large, draughty room, much of the heat escapes before you feel it.
Heat output in context
A typical radiator in a central heating system might put out a similar amount of heat to a small portable heater, but it runs for hours and is sized for the room. A 1,200-watt heater can match a small radiator, which explains why it works well in small rooms and struggles in large ones.
Personal heating versus room heating
A fan heater pointed at you warms you directly, even before the room warms up. That is the most efficient way to use a small heater: personal warmth while the rest of the house stays cooler. Trying to heat a big room with a small heater runs it at full power for long periods and costs more.
"2 seconds heating time"
Ceramic elements do heat up very quickly, so warm air starts flowing almost at once. Warming the room itself takes much longer, depending on size, insulation and the outside temperature. The page's claim is about the element, which is true of most ceramic heaters.
Moving warm air around
A fan heater blows warm air in one direction. Oscillation spreads it across a wider area, which helps in a room with several people. EcoHeat S sells oscillation as an add-on, though its photos suggest it rotates. For one person, pointing a fixed heater at you works fine without oscillation.
Running cost
Your electricity bill shows your rate per kilowatt-hour. On high, EcoHeat S uses 1.2 kWh per hour at full power; on low, 0.6 kWh. With the thermostat cycling it off once the room is warm, real use is lower. Using it for a few hours in one room, while the central heating is turned down, can cost less than heating the whole home.
Insulation matters more than the heater
Closing doors, drawing curtains at dusk, blocking draughts under doors and around windows and adding a rug on a bare floor all help a small heater work better. In a well-sealed room, 1,200 watts goes much further. In a draughty room, heat escapes almost as fast as the heater produces it.
Low setting for steady warmth
Once a room is warm, the 600-watt setting may be enough to keep it comfortable, using half the electricity of the high setting. Starting on high and dropping to low is usually more efficient than running on high all the time.
The thermostat
The LCD display shows a set temperature, 22 in the product image. Thermostats in small heaters measure air temperature near the heater, which can differ from the temperature where you sit. Set it a little lower than you think and adjust.
How much does EcoHeat S cost, and what do the add-ons include?

What a branded heater costs
Walmart listed a Lasko 9-inch 1,500-watt ceramic heater with tip-over protection at $39.99, down from $49.99. Lasko lists safety features such as overheat protection and a cool-touch exterior on its heaters.
The add-ons
- Dual Hot + Cool Fan Mode: $9 (from $18). A fan-only setting for summer.
- Smooth Oscillation: $14 (from $29). Side-to-side turning to spread heat. The main product photo already shows rotation arrows, and the control panel image shows a "turn" button.
- LED Visual Info-Light: $4 (from $9). Pictured with the heater's top panel, display and buttons.
With all three, one heater costs $116. What to do: ask support which of these the standard heater already has.
What you are paying for
Compact ceramic heaters are mass-produced and sold under many names. The EcoHeat S photos show a common cylinder design. At $89, plus extras for features that appear in the photos, you pay well above what branded ceramic heaters cost, without the certification and support those brands offer.
The "regular price"
The page shows $178 crossed out next to $89 with a countdown. We found no evidence of EcoHeat S selling at $178.

Is EcoHeat S better than a Lasko or other branded ceramic heater?
No. Branded ceramic heaters from Lasko and similar makers have been listed at about $40 to $70, with 1,500 watts, tip-over and overheat protection and recognised safety certification. They are more powerful, cheaper and easier to verify. EcoHeat S's compact cylinder is attractive, but a heater's safety record and certification matter more than its looks.
| Heater | Power | Tip-over | Certification shown | Price seen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EcoHeat S | 600 / 1,200 W | Yes | None shown | $89, add-ons extra |
| Lasko 754201 | 1,500 W | Yes | Brand lists safety features | $39.99 |
| Lasko tabletop with timer | 1,500 W | Yes | Brand lists safety features | $49.99 |
| Oil-filled radiator | Usually 1,500 W | Usually | Brand-dependent | Varies |
Why 1,500 watts is common
Many US heaters are rated at 1,500 watts because that is close to the maximum a standard household circuit can comfortably supply alongside other loads. EcoHeat S at 1,200 watts gives a little less heat, which may suit smaller rooms but means less warmth than most branded rivals on high.
EcoHeat S vs Lasko
Lasko is one of the best-known heater brands in the US, with ceramic models listing tip-over switches, overheat protection and cool-touch casings. At about half the price, with more power, it is a clear rival win.
EcoHeat S vs an infrared panel heater
Infrared panel heaters warm people and objects directly rather than the air, and can be wall-mounted out of the way. They cost more than small fan heaters, but are silent and suit rooms where you sit in one place for long periods.
EcoHeat S vs an oil-filled radiator
Oil-filled radiators heat more slowly but give steady, silent warmth and stay warm after switching off. They suit bedrooms and long periods, while ceramic fan heaters suit quick, targeted warmth.
EcoHeat S vs a heated throw or heated pad
For one person sitting still, a heated throw or pad uses far less electricity than a space heater and warms you directly. Choose one with automatic shut-off and a recognised safety mark.
EcoHeat S vs heated clothing and blankets
Heated vests, gloves and blankets use far less electricity than space heaters because they warm your body directly. For people sitting at a desk for hours, they can be the most efficient way to stay warm. Choose products with automatic shut-off and recognised safety marks, and follow the instructions carefully.
What to look for in any space heater
Look for a recognised safety certification, tip-over and overheat protection, a thermostat, a cool-touch exterior, a plug suited to your country, and a power rating that matches the room. A timer and an automatic shut-off add peace of mind. The EcoHeat S page lists some of these but not the certification.

Is EcoHeat S legit, and what should you check before buying?
EcoHeat S is a real product from a named seller, and a heater should arrive if you order. Before buying, ask which safety certification it carries, whether oscillation and the fan mode are standard, and what plug it has for your country. Change the preselected five-pack, and know that refunds need a returns number and that return postage is yours to pay.
Ask about certification
What to do: ask support for the safety certification and certificate number, and check for the mark on the heater and plug when it arrives. Do not use an uncertified heater.
Check the plug and voltage
What to do: check the heater is made for your country's voltage and plug type. Never use a plug adapter or converter with a heater.
Check the cable length
What to do: ask how long the power cable is. A short cable tempts people to use extension leads, which heaters should not be plugged into. Choose a spot near a wall socket before you buy.
Ask what is included
What to do: ask whether oscillation, the fan mode and overheat protection are standard before paying for add-ons.
Check the selected bundle
The five-pack for $277 was preselected. What to do: change it to one heater.
Membership offers
The page code contains text for a "Gadget Discount Club" membership, free for 30 days and then "a small fee of $9 may apply". We did not see it on the order page with the United States selected. What to do: read every checkbox and post-purchase page.
Refunds and returns
The page code promises a 30-day guarantee with a full refund or replacement, less shipping and handling. The terms focus on defective or damaged products, which may be returned within two years once you have a returns number. Return postage is at your cost and is not reimbursed.
What to do: inspect the heater, label and plug on the day it arrives, and contact support at once if anything looks wrong.
Keep smoke alarms working
What to do: before using any heater, check the smoke alarms in your home work, especially near bedrooms and the room where you will use the heater. Test them monthly through the winter.
Check your wiring
What to do: if your home has old wiring, sockets that feel warm or fuses that blow, have an electrician check the circuit before using a high-power heater regularly.
How to buy EcoHeat S the smart way
- Ask support for the certification, plug type and what is standard.
- Open the EcoHeat S order page (opens G Com Pte Ltd in a new tab) and select your country.
- Change the preselected five-pack to one heater.
- Skip the add-ons until support confirms what is missing.
- Note the card statement name, drone720x.com, and save your order email.
- Check the certification label before first use.
How did we score EcoHeat S?
EcoHeat S scores 3.8 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.7, build durability 0.9, price competitiveness 0.5, usability 1.2 and owner satisfaction 0.5, each out of 2. What we did, and did not, do
Nobody on our team has used EcoHeat S. We read the offer page our link opens with the United States selected, its code and the seller's terms on 4 October 2026, along with PIRG's space heater safety summary of CPSC figures, a Walmart listing for a Lasko heater and the top-ranking EcoHeat S pages.
How to use EcoHeat S safely and efficiently
Place EcoHeat S on a hard, level floor at least three feet from curtains, bedding, furniture and papers, plug it directly into a wall socket, and switch it off when you leave the room or go to sleep. Use the high setting to warm up, then drop to low or let the thermostat hold the temperature. Keep a working smoke alarm in the room or nearby.
- Check the label. Confirm a recognised safety mark before first use.
- Choose a safe spot. Hard, level floor; three feet from anything that can burn.
- Plug into the wall. Never an extension lead or power strip.
- Warm up on high. Then switch to low or let the thermostat take over.
- Point it at you. Personal warmth is the most efficient use.
- Never leave it unattended. Switch off when you leave or sleep.
- Keep it clean. Unplug and dust the grille regularly.
Placing it for the best warmth
Place the heater near where you sit, pointed towards you but at a safe distance, rather than in a corner far away. Low positions work best, because warm air rises. Keep it away from doorways where people walk and could trip over the cable.
Keeping children and pets safe
Keep the heater out of play areas and away from where pets sleep. Supervise children whenever it is on. The grille can get hot, and a curious child or pet can knock it over.
Dusting and maintenance
Dust that builds up on the element can smell when it burns off and may reduce airflow. Unplug the heater and let it cool, then vacuum the grille gently with a brush attachment every few weeks during winter.
Using it with central heating
The most economical approach is usually to keep central heating at a modest background temperature and use the heater to top up the room you are in. Turning central heating off entirely and relying on portable heaters can leave other rooms cold and damp, which risks condensation and mould. A balance between the two keeps the home healthy and the bills reasonable.
Damp and condensation
Fan heaters warm the air but do not remove moisture. In rooms prone to condensation, such as bedrooms with drying laundry, warm air can carry more moisture that then condenses on cold windows and walls. Ventilate briefly each day and wipe away condensation to prevent mould. A dehumidifier helps in persistently damp rooms.
Pets and heaters
Cats and dogs love warm spots and may curl up close to a heater. Keep it far enough away that fur cannot touch the grille, and never leave pets alone in a room with a heater running. Older pets and those with thin coats feel the cold too, so a pet bed with a blanket in a draught-free spot is a safer way to keep them warm.
Travelling with a heater
Small heaters are sometimes packed for caravans, cabins and holiday lets. Check the voltage and plug for where you are going, never use a travel adapter or voltage converter with a heater, and check the property's rules. Caravans and cabins have limited electrical supplies that may trip with a heater running alongside a kettle or hairdryer. Use the low setting and switch other appliances off while the heater runs, and ask the owner about the supply's limits before arriving, so the trip stays warm without blowing a fuse or a breaker on a cold winter night, when it is hardest to find help.
Sharing a room
If several people share a room, a single small heater pointed at one person will leave others cold. That is where oscillation helps, or a larger heater, or simply using central heating. Agree a comfortable temperature, and keep the heater clear of walkways where people pass.
Winter power cuts
Electric heaters stop in a power cut. Keep blankets, warm clothes and a battery light handy in winter. Never use outdoor or fuel-burning heaters indoors as a substitute, because they can produce deadly carbon monoxide.
When to replace the heater
Replace the heater if the case cracks, the cable or plug is damaged, the tip-over switch stops cutting power when you tilt it, or it makes unusual noises or smells. Test the tip-over switch at the start of each winter by gently tilting the heater while it runs; it should switch off.
Checking the plug and cable
If the plug, socket or cable ever feels hot, or you smell burning, switch off and unplug the heater immediately. Do not use it again until it has been checked or replaced.
Using the timer or thermostat wisely
If the heater has a timer, set it to switch off after a set time so it does not run if you forget. Set the thermostat to a comfortable but modest temperature. Each degree lower saves energy.
Noise
Fan heaters make a gentle whirr. Some people find it soothing; others find it distracting during calls or while sleeping. If noise matters, test the heater during your first days and consider an oil-filled radiator for bedrooms.
Storing it in summer
Clean the grille, wrap the cable loosely and store the heater in a dry place. Check the cable and plug for damage before using it again next winter.
Other questions about small space heaters
Are ceramic heaters safer than other heaters? Ceramic elements run at lower surface temperatures than exposed coil heaters, which helps. Safety depends on tip-over and overheat protection, certification and how the heater is used.
Is it cheaper to use a space heater than central heating? It can be, if you heat one small room and turn down the central heating. Heating several rooms with portable heaters usually costs more than central heating.
Can I use a heater in a child's bedroom? Use one only while an adult is present, keep it well away from the bed and toys, and switch it off before the child sleeps. Many safety experts advise against heaters in children's rooms overnight.
Why does my heater smell when I first use it? New heaters and heaters stored over summer can smell as dust burns off the element. A brief, faint smell is common; a strong or burning plastic smell is not. Switch off and unplug if in doubt.
Can I put a heater on carpet? Many manufacturers advise a hard, level surface. Thick carpet can block air intakes and make the heater less stable. Follow the leaflet.
How long do ceramic heaters last? With care, several winters. Replace any heater with a damaged cable, a cracked case or a tip-over switch that no longer works.

Frequently asked questions
How big a room can EcoHeat S heat?
The page does not say. At 1,200 watts on high, it suits warming one person or a small, well-insulated room. Many portable heaters are rated at 1,500 watts. In a large or draughty room, expect it to warm the space near you rather than the whole room.
Is EcoHeat S safe?
The page lists a tip-over switch and calls it the seller's safest heater yet, but shows no safety certification such as UL or ETL. The CPSC has linked portable heaters to around 1,700 fires and 80 deaths a year, according to PIRG. Look for a recognised certification mark before using any heater.
How much does EcoHeat S cost to run?
On high, a 1,200-watt heater uses 1.2 kilowatt-hours of electricity each hour it runs at full power. Multiply that by your electricity rate to estimate the cost. The thermostat cycles the heater off once the room reaches the set temperature, which lowers the real use.
How much does EcoHeat S cost?
With the United States selected on 4 October 2026, the offer page listed one heater for $89, two for $149, three for $187, four for $229 and five for $277. The five-pack was preselected. Delivery was listed as free, and a 3-year warranty add-on cost $14.
Does EcoHeat S oscillate?
The main product photo shows rotation arrows, and the control panel image shows a turn button, but the order page sells Smooth Oscillation as a $14 add-on. Ask support whether the standard heater oscillates before buying.
Can I leave EcoHeat S on overnight?
Safety guidance for space heaters is to switch them off when you leave the room or go to sleep. Leaving heaters unattended is a leading cause of heater fires. Warm the bedroom before bed, then switch the heater off.
