Our verdict

Yes, if you want a tough, pocketable stand for watching, reading or following recipes on a phone, e-reader or small tablet. GoDonut is a weighted ring with two grooves, and hands-on reviewers found it nearly indestructible and stable with most devices. The offer page's $24.99 for the Plus+ matches GoDonut's own store. It scores 6.4 out of 10, held back by fixed angles, poor fit with rugged cases and large tablets, overstated claims, and the cheaper original model the brand sells for $9.99 on sale.

The short version

  • A rubber-coated ring stand, about 4 by 1 inches, with two grooves for two viewing angles.
  • Holds phones, e-readers and small tablets, portrait or landscape.
  • Plus+ adds a charging slot.
  • $24.99 for one on 3 October 2026; $49.98 for three and $74.97 for five.
  • GoDonut's store: Plus+ $24.99; original on sale at $9.99.
  • Best trait: tough, simple and portable.
  • Biggest drawback: fixed angles, and no room for rugged cases or big tablets.
  • Our score: 6.4 out of 10.

Pros & cons

GoDonut is a genuinely useful, durable gadget with honest basics. It is held back by marketing that promises it fits everything and by limits any fixed-angle stand has.

What we like

  • Very durable and portable: hands-on reviewers called it nearly indestructible
  • Holds most phones, e-readers and small tablets in portrait or landscape, with a non-slip finish
  • No setup, no adhesive, nothing stuck to your phone
  • Plus+ adds a charging slot so you can charge while it stands
  • Offer price matches GoDonut's own store for the Plus+

What we don't

  • Two fixed angles only; reviewers found them less suited to video calls
  • Slot too narrow for thick rugged cases such as Otterbox, despite "robust protective cases are no problem"
  • Large tablets such as the 12.9-inch iPad Pro can tip over
  • In portrait, the lip can block the bottom of the screen and the charging port on older models
  • GoDonut's store sells the original model for $9.99 on sale, much less than the Plus+
  • "UL Listed" on a passive plastic stand is an odd claim we could not verify

How it works

GoDonut is a solid, weighted ring of plastic with a rubbery coating. There are no moving parts on the basic model.

  1. Set it on a flat surface

Step 1: Put the GoDonut down on a table, counter, desk or bed tray. Its weighted, rubber-coated base keeps it from sliding.

  2. Drop your device into a groove

Step 2: Stand your phone, e-reader or tablet in one of the two grooves. One holds it more upright, the other leans it back.

  3. Use it hands-free

Step 3: Watch, read, follow a recipe or video call without holding the device. On the Plus+, a slot lets the charging cable pass through so you can charge while it stands.

The weight sits low and wide, which is why it resists tipping when you tap or swipe the screen. The rubbery coating also grips the table underneath, so the stand stays put when you plug in a cable or adjust the device. The two grooves give two angles; reviewers measured roughly 35 to 40 degrees and 60 degrees from vertical depending on the model and orientation.

Who it's for

GoDonut suits people who prop their phone or tablet up often: watching shows in bed or on a plane, reading recipes in the kitchen, following workout videos, reading on an e-reader at breakfast, or keeping a phone visible on a desk. It suits families who want a tough stand that survives being dropped, sat on or thrown in a bag.

Recipes in the kitchen. Image: GoDonut offer page

It is less suited to people who need adjustable angles, extra height for video calls, or support for thick cases and big tablets.

Why GoDonut appeals

Most people prop their phone against a cup, a book or the fruit bowl. Folding stands can be fiddly and flimsy; stick-on grips change how a phone feels in your pocket. GoDonut is a single solid object with no hinges to break, nothing stuck to your phone, and a shape that slips into a pocket. The bright colours make it easy to find and fun to give.

Why a ring shape works

A ring spreads its weight around a wide circle, so the stand resists tipping in every direction rather than only forwards. The device rests against the far side of the ring, and its base sits in a groove on the near side, so the stand braces the device at two points. There is nothing to unfold, tighten or lose, which is why reviewers found it so robust.

Who gets the most value

Frequent travellers, home cooks, parents with children's tablets, and people who read on e-readers get the most value. Several owners on the page describe using it all over the house: in the kitchen, for workouts, during late-night baby feeds and for crafting videos.

Students also find stands like this useful for following lectures or recipes for practical classes, and for keeping a phone visible but out of hand while studying. Remote workers use it to keep a phone visible beside a laptop for two-factor codes and messages.

Who will notice the least difference

If you already own a good adjustable stand, or rarely prop up your phone, GoDonut adds little. People who mostly use large tablets with keyboard cases will also find it does not suit them.

A typical day with GoDonut

At breakfast, it holds your phone at the table while you read the news. In the kitchen, it props up a tablet for a recipe, away from splashes. At your desk, it keeps your phone upright and charging through the Plus+ slot so you can see notifications. In the evening, it holds a phone on the bedside table for a show, then goes into your bag for tomorrow's commute.

As a gift

GoDonut is an easy gift: useful for almost anyone with a phone, inexpensive in multi-packs, durable enough for children and available in bright colours and patterned versions. Owners on the page describe buying extras for family. If the recipient has a rugged case or a large tablet, choose something else.

For people with limited grip

Holding a phone or tablet for long periods can be tiring or painful for people with arthritis, tremors or weak grip. A stable stand that needs no adjustment lets them read, video call family or watch without holding the device. GoDonut's simplicity, with no hinges or clamps to work, is an advantage here.

  • Anyone who watches videos, reads or follows recipes on a phone or small tablet
  • Travellers who want a tough, pocketable stand for planes, hotels and cafés
  • Parents who want a near-unbreakable stand for children's tablets

Who should skip it

  • People with thick rugged cases, unless they check slot width first
  • Owners of large tablets such as 12.9-inch or 13-inch iPads
  • Anyone who needs adjustable angles or height for video calls
  • Bargain hunters who can buy the original model for less

How much does GoDonut cost, and which model should you choose?

The GoDonut Plus+ cost $24.99 on the offer page on 3 October 2026, the same as GoDonut's own store, where the original model was on sale for $9.99. The Plus+ is a rubber-coated ring about 4 by 1 inches, two grooves for different angles and a slot for a charging cable. If you do not need the charging slot, the original does the same basic job for less.

You get one GoDonut Plus+ stand per unit. The offer page's images show black, blue and red colours.

Is $25 good value?

For a stand that lasts for years and goes everywhere, $25 is reasonable, though plenty of simple phone stands cost less. The best value is the original at its sale price if you do not need the charging slot, or the bundles if you are buying for several people.

Cost per year

A stand that lasts several years costs only a few dollars a year at any of these prices. The bigger question is whether you will use it daily. If it lives in a drawer, any price is too much; if it holds your phone at every meal and your tablet every evening, $25 is easily justified.

How well does GoDonut work?

GoDonut works well as a tough, portable stand for phones, e-readers and small tablets. Cult of Mac found GoDonut stands extremely durable and travel-friendly, gripping iPhones and small tablets securely, and Serious Insights called it nearly indestructible. Both found limits: the slot is too narrow for thick rugged cases such as Otterbox, large tablets can tip over, and two fixed angles suit watching more than video calls.

Holding a tablet. Image: GoDonut offer page

Nobody on our team has used GoDonut. This section draws on two independent hands-on reviews and owner feedback.

What Cult of Mac found

In an April 2021 review, Cult of Mac tested the original GoDonut and the swivelling 360 version. The reviewer found them extremely durable and travel-friendly, gripping iPhones and small tablets securely at several angles. Downsides: the bottom lip blocked part of an iPhone's screen in portrait, the charging port was inaccessible in portrait, and a 12.9-inch iPad Pro tipped over. The reviewer summed it up as tough and stable, as long as you avoid full-size tablets.

What Serious Insights found

In a June 2021 review, Serious Insights found the stand nearly indestructible, light and portable, supporting most phones and some smaller tablets in two angles. Downsides: the slot was too narrow for thick cases like Otterbox, larger tablets were unstable, the fixed angles were not ideal for video conferencing, and the optional swivel base did not spin smoothly. The verdict: a solid basic stand for smartphones and some tablets.

What the reviews tell us about the Plus+

Both independent reviews tested earlier versions: the original and the 360. The Plus+ sold on the offer page adds a charging slot, addressing the port-blocking complaint. Its basic shape, grooves and materials appear similar, so the reviewers' findings on durability, angles, case fit and large tablets are likely to apply, but we have not seen an independent review of the Plus+ itself.

Stability

Owners and reviewers agree it is stable for tapping and swiping, thanks to its weight and grip. Stability drops with tall, heavy devices: large tablets leverage over the lip.

Device compatibility at a glance

DeviceHow it fits, based on reviews
Phones with slim or standard casesFits well, portrait or landscape
Phones with thick rugged casesMay not fit the groove
E-readers such as KindleFits well; good for reading at a table
Small tablets (around 8 inches)Fits well
Standard tablets (around 10 to 11 inches)Fits; best in landscape
Large tablets (12.9 to 13 inches)Tips over, according to reviewers
Tablets with keyboard casesUsually too thick

Angles

Two fixed angles cover most viewing on a table: one more upright, one leaning back. They are less flexible than a hinged stand, and the stand is low, so a phone on a desk sits below eye level for video calls.

For most watching and reading the two angles are enough, which is why owners rarely complain about them. They matter more for people who want to type on the screen for long periods or hold calls at eye level, where an adjustable stand gives more control.

Cases

Most slim and standard cases fit. Rugged cases with thick bumpers, like Otterbox, may not fit the groove, according to Serious Insights, despite the page's claim that robust cases are no problem.

Charging

The Plus+ adds a charging slot. Earlier models blocked the port in portrait; check how your phone's port and cable sit before relying on it.

Ergonomics

A phone on a low stand on a table sits well below eye level, so you still look down, just with your hands free. For short periods that is fine. For longer viewing, raising the stand on a book or box, or using it on a shelf or windowsill closer to eye level, reduces neck strain. On a bed tray, the leaning groove is often more comfortable for reading.

Durability in daily life

Both reviewers described the stand as close to indestructible. Owners mention it surviving being dropped, carried in bags and used by children. The rubbery coating can pick up dust and lint, which reduces grip; wiping it restores it.

Are GoDonut's claims true?

GoDonut's core claims hold up for phones and small tablets: it is stable, tough and needs no setup. Others overreach. "The only device stand you'll ever need" ignores large tablets, rugged cases and adjustable angles, and "even robust protective cases are no problem" contradicts a hands-on reviewer's finding with Otterbox cases. "UL Listed" is an odd claim for a passive plastic stand that we could not verify.

"The only device stand you'll ever need"

It covers phones, e-readers and small tablets well. It does not cover large tablets, rugged cases or adjustable angles.

"Works with all phones" and "even robust protective cases are no problem"

Most phones, yes. Thick rugged cases are a known limitation, according to a hands-on reviewer.

"Swipe, type and scroll without tipping"

Accurate for phones and small tablets, by reviewers' accounts. Large tablets tip.

"UL Listed"

UL certification usually applies to electrical products. A passive plastic stand has no electrical parts, and the page does not explain what was listed. We could not verify it.

"Toxin-free, BPA-free, waterproof"

Plausible for a solid plastic and rubber object with no electronics.

"Lasts a lifetime"

Both reviewers found it very durable. "Lifetime" is a promise no one can test; owners report years of use.

"Hundreds of uses"

The page lists watching shows, recipes, video calls and poolside content. Owners add workouts, crafts, reading and baby feeds. These are all variations of propping up a screen, which GoDonut does well; the "hundreds" is marketing, not a feature list.

"Patented circular design"

The page describes a patented circular design and weighted base. We did not check the patent, but the ring shape is distinctive and well suited to its job.

"Over 1,000,000 units sold" and "Made in USA"

We could not verify the sales figure. The brand is US-based and says the stands are made in America.

"No setup or assembly required"

Accurate, and one of its real strengths. There is nothing to unfold, adjust or attach.

"Charging slot to charge while mounted"

The Plus+ adds this. Reviewers of earlier models noted the port was blocked in portrait, so the slot is a useful improvement; check how your cable's plug fits in practice.

"Fits in your pocket"

At about 4 by 1 inches it fits a jacket or bag pocket; in tight jeans pockets it is bulky.

Is GoDonut better than a folding stand or a phone grip?

Folding stands offer adjustable angles and sometimes height, which suit desks and video calls, but they are less durable and less pocketable. Car mounts and desk arms hold devices precisely but stay in one place. GoDonut wins on toughness, simplicity and moving from room to room, and it needs nothing stuck to your phone. For driving, use a proper car mount rather than any stand.

GoDonut vs a folding stand

Folding stands offer adjustable angles and sometimes height, which suit desks and video calls. They are less durable and less pocketable. GoDonut wins on toughness and simplicity.

GoDonut vs a car or desk mount

Car mounts and desk arms hold devices at precise positions but are fixed in one place. GoDonut moves with you from room to room. For driving, use a proper car mount; never prop a phone on a stand on the dashboard.

GoDonut vs a pillow stand

Soft pillow-style stands hold tablets on your lap or in bed and are comfortable for long reading sessions. They are bulkier and less portable. GoDonut is better on tables; a pillow stand is better on laps.

GoDonut vs a laptop or monitor stand

Raising your main screen to eye level matters more for posture than a phone stand. If you work from a laptop all day, a laptop stand plus GoDonut beside it for your phone is a practical combination.

GoDonut vs a stick-on grip

Grips and pop sockets live on your phone, so they are always with you and double as a handle, but they add thickness and can interfere with wireless charging. GoDonut leaves your phone untouched.

GoDonut vs a tablet stand

For large tablets, a dedicated tablet stand with a wider, taller support is safer. GoDonut is not designed for 12.9-inch or 13-inch tablets.

GoDonut vs CordBrick

Our CordBrick review covers a weighted silicone cable holder that also stands a phone. CordBrick is better for cables; GoDonut is the better stand, especially for tablets.

Is GoDonut legit, and what should you check before buying?

GoDonut is a real, well-reviewed brand, and the offer price for the Plus+ matches its own store. Before buying, measure your phone's thickness in its case, because thick rugged cases may not fit, and check your tablet size, since large tablets can tip over. Decide whether you need the charging slot; if not, the original model was on sale for $9.99 at GoDonut's store.

Check your case

Thick rugged cases may not fit.

What to do: measure your phone's thickness in its case. If you use a rugged case, consider a stand with a wider cradle, or check with the seller before buying.

Tablet size

Large tablets can tip over.

What to do: use GoDonut for phones, e-readers and tablets up to standard sizes. For 12.9-inch and larger tablets, choose a dedicated tablet stand.

Fixed angles

There are only two.

What to do: if you mainly want it for video calls, raise it on a book or choose an adjustable stand.

Which model

The Plus+ adds a charging slot; the original costs less.

What to do: buy the Plus+ if you want to charge while standing; otherwise check GoDonut's store for the original.

Shipping

The single unit on the offer page was not marked as free shipping.

What to do: check the total at checkout, and compare it with the brand's store if you are buying one.

Claims to ignore

The page shows "keeps selling out", "over 1,000,000 units sold" and "lasts a lifetime".

What to do: buy it for what reviewers confirmed: a tough, simple, portable stand for phones and small tablets. Ignore urgency and lifetime promises.

Returns

The page offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

What to do: test it with your devices and cases straight away, and keep the packaging.

Heat and charging

Phones warm up while charging, especially when streaming video at the same time.

What to do: if your phone gets hot while standing and charging, take it out of its case or pause the video. The open ring design lets air reach the back of the phone, which helps.

Surfaces

The rubbery base grips most tables.

What to do: on glossy or delicate wooden surfaces, check after a few days that the coating has not left marks, as some rubber finishes can on certain lacquers.

Children and small parts

The stand itself has no small parts, and owners describe children using it for tablets.

What to do: supervise young children with any device stand, and remember that a tablet can still fall if a child leans on it.

Colours and patterns

GoDonut's store sells many colours and patterns across its models; the offer page shows black, blue and red for the Plus+.

What to do: if you want a particular colour or pattern, check what the offer page lets you choose before ordering, or buy that version from the brand's store.

How to buy GoDonut the smart way

  1. Check your case thickness and tablet size, then open the GoDonut offer page (opens GoDonut in a new tab).
  2. Decide whether you need the Plus+ charging slot or would be happy with the cheaper original.
  3. Buy one for yourself, or a bundle if you want them for family or gifts.
  4. Check shipping and the total before paying.
  5. Keep your order confirmation.
  6. Test it with each of your devices in the first week.
  7. Return it within 30 days if it does not suit your devices.

What do owners say, and how did we score GoDonut?

GoDonut scores 6.4 out of 10: claim accuracy 0.9, build durability 1.6, price competitiveness 1.2, usability 1.4 and owner satisfaction 1.3, each out of 2. Owners praise sturdiness, a non-slip finish and two useful angles for Kindles, phones and tablets in the kitchen, at the gym and for late-night baby feeds. Cult of Mac and Serious Insights both rated it tough, portable and stable.

Reviews on the page

The offer page's testimonials praise sturdiness, a non-slip finish, two useful angles, and not having anything stuck to the phone. Owners use it with Kindle e-readers, Pixel phones and tablets, in the kitchen, for workouts, crafts and late-night baby feeds, and buy more as gifts.

Independent hands-on reviews

Cult of Mac and Serious Insights both rated it as tough, portable and stable for phones and small tablets, with limits on large tablets, thick cases and fixed angles.

What the reviews agree on

GoDonut is a durable, simple stand that does its basic job well. Its limits are predictable for a fixed-angle stand and are mostly about size and fit.

What we would test with GoDonut in hand

If we test it ourselves, we will measure the angles and slot width, test it with common rugged cases, phones and tablets of different sizes, check tipping when tapping, and try the charging slot with several cables. We will update this review with the results.

How we scored GoDonut

Every score on the site follows the five criteria on our how we test page.

What we did, and did not, do

We read the offer page, GoDonut's store data and two independent hands-on reviews, all on 3 October 2026. Nobody on our team has used GoDonut, and no figures here come from our own testing.

How to use GoDonut for the best results

Place GoDonut on a flat, stable surface away from edges, then choose a groove: upright for watching, leaning for reading or typing. Stand your device in the groove, centred, with the case edge fully seated. For video calls, raise it on a stack of books so the camera is at eye level, and in the kitchen, keep it back from splashes and heat.

  1. Place it on a flat, stable surface. Avoid edges where it could be knocked off with a device in it.
  2. Choose the groove for the angle you want: upright for watching, leaning for reading or typing.
  3. Stand your device in the groove, centred, with the case edge fully seated.
  4. For landscape viewing, rest the long edge in the groove.
  5. On the Plus+, route the charging cable through the slot before seating the phone.
  6. Tap and swipe gently near the top of the screen to avoid tipping larger devices.
  7. Wipe it clean occasionally to keep the grip effective.

In the kitchen

Set it back from the edge of the counter, away from splashes and heat. A tablet in landscape on the upright groove is easiest to read while cooking. Keep a damp cloth nearby so you can wipe sticky fingers before touching the screen, and slide the tablet into a clear zip bag if you are baking with flour; the stand holds it just as well through the bag.

For video calls

Raise the stand on a stack of books so the camera is at eye level, and use the upright groove. Sit facing a window or lamp rather than with light behind you, and keep the phone in landscape for group calls.

In bed

On a soft surface, place it on a book or tray to keep it level. The leaning groove is usually more comfortable for reading in bed, and switching on your phone's night mode reduces glare in a dark room.

Travelling

Pack it in a bag pocket. On a plane tray table, it holds a phone or small tablet for films, leaving your hands free.

In a hotel, it turns a bedside table into a phone dock overnight, and on a desk it keeps your phone upright for alarms and messages. Its size means it fits in most carry-on pockets without adding noticeable weight.

Cleaning

Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap. The page says it is waterproof, so a rinse is fine; let it dry before use so devices do not slip.

Troubleshooting

Setting up a family charging spot

Pair a GoDonut Plus+ with a multi-port charger on a kitchen counter or hallway table. Each family member's phone stands in its own GoDonut and charges overnight, visible and off the floor. Colour-coding the stands helps everyone grab their own phone in the morning.

Using it with a keyboard

Cult of Mac suggested GoDonut works well with a Bluetooth keyboard: stand a phone or small tablet in landscape and type on the keyboard in front of it. It turns a tablet into a basic writing setup for travel without a bulky keyboard case.

On a plane or train

Place it on the tray table with the device in landscape for films. If the tray is sloped or moves, the leaning groove keeps the device more secure. Keep a hand ready during turbulence.

At the gym

Set it on a bench or shelf at a safe distance from moving equipment, with a workout video or timer on your phone. Wipe it down afterwards; sweat and dust reduce grip.

For older relatives

A stand can make video calls easier for grandparents who find holding a tablet tiring. Set it up with them in a good spot, at a comfortable height, with the camera facing them, and show them which groove to use.

What else do people ask about phone stands?

Most questions are about angles and safety. For watching, a fairly upright angle at eye level is comfortable, while a backward lean reduces glare and neck strain when reading or typing. A stable stand reduces the chance of drops, as long as it does not press on buttons or block ports. Many owners keep one stand in the kitchen, one at a desk and one by the bed.

What is the best angle for a phone stand?

For watching, a fairly upright angle at eye level is comfortable. For reading or typing, a backward lean reduces glare and neck strain.

Are phone stands bad for my phone?

No. A stable stand reduces the chance of drops. Avoid stands that press on buttons or block ports.

How many stands do I need?

Many owners keep one in the kitchen, one at the desk and one by the bed, which is where the three-pack bundle makes sense. If you travel often, a fourth in your bag saves moving one around.

Can GoDonut hold a phone and a tablet together?

No; it holds one device at a time. If you want both visible on a desk, use two stands or a dual stand.

Does GoDonut work on a bed or sofa?

It works best on firm, flat surfaces. On a bed or sofa, put it on a book, tray or lap desk so it stays level.

Can a phone stand help with neck pain?

Raising your screen closer to eye level and holding your head upright can reduce strain compared with looking down at a phone in your lap.

What stand works with an Otterbox case?

Look for stands with a wide, adjustable cradle or a clamp. Reviewers found GoDonut's slot too narrow for thick Otterbox cases.

Is it safe to charge a phone in a stand?

Yes, if air can circulate. Avoid stands that trap heat around the phone while fast-charging.

What size tablet can GoDonut hold?

Reviewers found it fine with small and standard tablets, but large 12.9-inch tablets tipped over.

Can GoDonut hold a Nintendo Switch?

Owners of handheld consoles sometimes use phone and tablet stands for tabletop play. If the console and its controllers fit in the groove without pressing buttons, it can work, but check the thickness first. A dedicated console stand gives better ventilation and charging access.

What happened to the swivel version?

GoDonut sells 360-degree swivel versions and a swivel add-on. Serious Insights found the swivel base did not spin smoothly and made the stand less stable, and Cult of Mac found the spinning feature redundant. The offer page sells the fixed Plus+, which avoids those problems.

Will GoDonut scratch my phone?

The rubbery coating is designed to grip without scratching. Grit trapped in the groove can scratch, so keep the stand clean, especially if you use your phone without a case.

Is GoDonut good for e-readers?

Yes. E-readers are light and slim, and both grooves work well for reading at a table, with your hands free for a drink or snack.

How do I stop my phone sliding out?

Use the more upright groove, make sure the case edge is fully seated in the bottom of the groove, and keep the stand's surface clean. If your case is very slippery or rounded, the leaning groove may hold it better.

Does GoDonut work with MagSafe or magnetic accessories?

GoDonut does not use magnets; it holds devices by their edges. Magnetic wallets or rings on the back of the phone may affect how it sits, so check fit with any accessories attached.

Can I use GoDonut outdoors?

Yes. It is solid and the page says it is waterproof, so it suits picnics, poolside and camping. Keep devices out of direct sun to avoid overheating.

Is GoDonut worth it?

If you regularly prop up a phone or small tablet and want something tough and portable, yes, especially at the original model's sale price or in a bundle. If you need adjustable angles, video-call height, rugged-case support or large-tablet support, choose a different stand.

How long will GoDonut last?

With no moving parts and a solid build, it should last years of normal use, based on reviewers' durability findings. The coating may wear or discolour over time, especially in bright colours, but that does not affect how it holds a device.

Frequently asked questions

What is GoDonut?

GoDonut is a ring-shaped stand for phones, e-readers and small tablets. You set it on a flat surface and stand your device in one of two grooves, for hands-free viewing at two angles. The Plus+ adds a charging slot.

How much does GoDonut cost?

On 3 October 2026 the offer page showed the GoDonut Plus+ at $24.99 for one, $49.98 for three and $74.97 for five, with free shipping on the bundles. GoDonut's own store listed the Plus+ at $24.99 and the original model on sale at $9.99.

Does GoDonut work with cases?

It works with most slim and standard cases. Hands-on reviewers found the slot too narrow for thick rugged cases such as Otterbox. Measure your phone's thickness in its case before buying, and choose a stand with a wider cradle if you use a rugged case.

Can GoDonut hold an iPad?

It holds smaller and standard tablets, according to reviewers. Large tablets like the 12.9-inch iPad Pro were unstable and could tip over. Stand smaller tablets in landscape on the upright groove for watching, and keep them away from table edges.

Can I charge my phone in GoDonut?

The Plus+ has a slot for a charging cable. Reviewers of earlier models found the port blocked in portrait orientation, so check how your cable fits. Charging in a stand is safe as long as the cable is not bent sharply.

Is GoDonut good for video calls?

It works, but the two fixed angles and low height are not ideal for video calls, according to a hands-on reviewer. Raising it on books helps. Sit facing a window or lamp rather than with light behind you.

Is GoDonut waterproof?

The page says it is waterproof, which makes sense for a solid plastic and rubber stand with no electronics. Wipe it clean after use by a pool or in the kitchen. It has no electronics, so there is nothing to damage.

What is the difference between GoDonut Plus+ and the original?

Both are ring stands with two grooves. The Plus+ adds a charging slot and costs $24.99 at GoDonut's store, where the original was on sale for $9.99. Other versions add patterns or a swivel base. Choose the original if you do not need the charging slot.
