Buying guide
The Best Phone Accessories of 2026
We have reviewed 11 phone accessories sold through offer pages, from power banks and charging cables to stands, mounts and a gimbal. Only three scored 6.0 or higher, and all three are cheap, simple objects that do one job well. The power banks and chargers, which make the biggest promises, scored lowest. This guide ranks the three worth buying and explains what to buy instead of the rest.

Why it made the list
- No adhesive, so no sticky residue
- US patented, praised by a hands-on reviewer

What we like
- Steel core and grippy silicone keep phone and watch chargers from sliding off the edge of a nightstand or desk
- No adhesive, so it never leaves sticky residue and can be moved anywhere
- Doubles as a cable wrap for travel and a small phone stand for video
What we don't
- About $20 for a small silicone block, more than simple cable clips
- Made for phone-size charging cables, not thick laptop, HDMI or keyboard cables
- Will not stand a tablet, by the brand's own description
Skip it if: You need to manage thick laptop, HDMI or keyboard cables, or stand up a tablet.

Best Stand
02GoDonut Plus+
6.4/10$25
A weighted ring with two grooves that holds a phone, e-reader or small tablet in portrait or landscape, and that reviewers called nearly indestructible.
Best for: Videos, reading and recipes
- Type
- Portable stand
- Price
- $25
- Sold by

Why it made the list
- Pocketable and very durable
- Offer price matches the brand store
- Two fixed angles only
What we like
- Very durable and portable: hands-on reviewers called it nearly indestructible
- Holds most phones, e-readers and small tablets in portrait or landscape, with a non-slip finish
- No setup, no adhesive, nothing stuck to your phone
What we don't
- Two fixed angles only; reviewers found them less suited to video calls
- Slot too narrow for thick rugged cases such as Otterbox, despite "robust protective cases are no problem"
- Large tablets such as the 12.9-inch iPad Pro can tip over
Skip it if: Your phone lives in a thick rugged case, or you want to stand a 12.9-inch tablet.

Best for Video Calls
03OlumiRing
6.4/10$25
A clip-on ring light with one button and adjustable colour and brightness that makes you look brighter and clearer on calls and selfies.
Best for: Calls in dim rooms
- Type
- Clip-on ring light
- Price
- $25

- Built-in silicone-lined clip for phones, tablets and laptops
- Rechargeable battery, about 1 hour; works while charging
Why it made the list
- Clips to phones, tablets and laptops
- No app, no setup
- About an hour per charge
What we like
- Front lighting is the simplest, cheapest way to look better on video calls and selfies
- One button, no app, no setup: clip it on and press
- Clips to phones, tablets, laptops and monitors; works with most phone cases
What we don't
- "800 lumens" and "8X brighter than most large LED flashlights" are hard to believe for a pocket light
- About an hour of battery life, so long calls need it plugged in
- The page gives two different clip sizes: about one inch and 15 mm
Skip it if: You film long sessions and need strong, even light. Get a mains-powered light.
Why only three made it
A buying guide with three picks looks thin, but padding it would mean recommending products we scored below 6.0. In this category, the pattern is clear. The accessories that do one small thing, holding a cable, propping up a phone, lighting a face, do it well and are fairly priced. The ones that promise more, such as fire-proof batteries, cable-free charging or professional stabilised video, overreach on the page and cost more than established brands charge for the same thing.
The CordBrick tops the list at 7.0. It is a simple object, a silicone block with a steel core, but it solves a daily annoyance without adhesive and is US patented. The GoDonut is nearly as useful, a tough stand you can drop in a bag, and its offer price matched the brand's own store when we checked. The OlumiRing is the cheapest way to look better on a video call, though its brightness claims are hard to believe and its battery lasts about an hour.
The power bank problem
Three of the 11 accessories we reviewed are power banks, and none scored above 5.0. The Statik State is the most interesting: it really does use semi-solid cells, which are less prone to fire. But "won't catch fire even if punctured" is a promise no lithium battery maker can fully make, and the TSA badge on its page is a luggage-lock logo, since the TSA does not approve power banks. The Rush Charge Universe (4.9) and Snap-N-Charge (4.6) have similar gaps between claim and product.
A power bank is a lithium battery you carry everywhere, so it is worth buying from a brand with a long safety record and a retailer with easy returns. That costs less, too.
Near misses
WaterBear (5.6) is a clever stick-on screen cleaner, but its brand store sells the patches for less than the offer page. Tenikle (5.3) is a fun bendable suction mount, but its page promises a lifetime warranty and a 60-day guarantee that become one year and 30 days in the written policy. Whippy Charge (5.3) is a magnetic cable that is handy in the dark but charges only, with no data, CarPlay or Android Auto.
At the bottom, ThePhotoStick Mobile (4.4) is a photo backup stick priced well above plain storage, and the StableCAM PRO gimbal (3.6) costs $149, while DJI's Osmo Mobile SE lists at $109 and comes with a named app and published specifications. Every review is in our cellphone accessories category. For gadgets around the home, see our best household gadgets guide.
The bottom line
Buy the CordBrick if a charger keeps falling off your nightstand: it is the highest-scoring product in this category and costs $19.99 with free returns. Add the GoDonut if you watch or read on your phone at a table, and the OlumiRing if you are on video calls in a dim room. For power banks and charging cables, skip the offer pages and buy from an established electronics brand at a regular retailer, where a basic 5,000 mAh pack costs about half what these pages charge.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best phone accessory to buy?
The CordBrick, which scored 7.0, the highest of any phone accessory we have reviewed. It is a weighted silicone block that holds charging cables on a nightstand or desk, wraps a cable for travel and props up a phone. It costs $19.99 with a 30-day guarantee and free returns.
Why is there no power bank in this guide?
None scored high enough. The Statik State scored 5.0: its semi-solid cells are genuinely less fire-prone, but it costs about double a basic 5,000 mAh pack and its TSA badge is borrowed from a luggage-lock scheme. Rush Charge Universe scored 4.9 and Snap-N-Charge 4.6. A power bank from an established brand at a regular retailer is better value.
Is the WaterBear screen cleaner worth it?
It is a useful idea, a washable cleaning patch that sticks to your phone, and it scored 5.6. We left it out because the brand's own store listed patches from $12.99 against $17.95 on the offer page, and its policy gives store credit rather than a refund for items not in original condition.
Are offer-page phone accessories more expensive than retail?
Often, but not always. GoDonut's offer price matched its own store. The power banks and chargers were usually priced well above similar products from established brands. Each full review compares the prices we found on the day we checked.
